"A small caramel mocha and a hot chocolate please" the tall blond handed the barista her money and moved to the end of the counter. She waited for both of her drinks to be done and handed to her.

With both drinks in hand the blond walked out the door and onto the sidewalk. It was a cold, windy day in Big Apple. She tightened her hands on both cups a to not drop them. A second later she felt both cups of hot liquid seep through her shirt. She had slammed into a wall she thought. When she looked down she noticed a brunette women in front of her with a small amount off coffee now spilled on he too.

"oh my gosh are you okay? I'm so sorry I didn't even see you!" Quinn said. She deposited then now empty cups into the nearest trash can and kept her eyes on the brunette. Looking down into her chocolate brown eyes she asked again if she was okay. The brunette gave no intelligible answer just some sounds as she kept looking down at her now ruined cloth. The blond decide to introduce herself and stuck out her hand awkwardly for the brunette to shake.

"I'm Quinn, I'm sorry, I was a little distracted. I'm running late."

Rachel looked up at the tall blond through her bangs. "hi, I'm Rachel..." was all that came out. Rachel dabbed at her black coat thankful that the stains of coffee couldn't be seen.

"Let me buy you a coffee to make up for it?" Quinn asked. She turned in the direction of the coffee shop hoping that Rachel would follow. She arrived back at the counter and ordered her drinks once more and waited for a still very silent Rachel to order.

"A tall late no foam please" Rachel said. Quinn moved down the bad and waited with her. "I am so sorry I was running late and I didn't even look where I was going, I can pay for dry-cleaning if you send me the bill, it's not like me to be so clumsy." Quinn kept rambling on and on while Rachel just staired at her still stunned.

The man behind the counter handed them 3 drinks. Quinn took Rachel's cup and with a pen from her bag wrote on her cup. "Look I have to run, but here's my number, call me do you can send me that bill for the dry cleaning" Quinn said with a smile.

Rachel looked at Quinn and back at her cup and then back at Quinn. "What if I call you for a drink when you have time instead and we call it even?"

Quinn was just about to say yes when her phone rang. "I am sorry I have to take this, but yes I would like that. I have to run now... Bye" Quinn waved and she took long strides out the door with her ear to her phone and 2 cup in hand.

"Oh, I will be calling you for sure" Rachel said to herself. She took out her phone and made sure to save the number just in case she forgot latter. She did not want to lose that.
