{A/N: Welcome back! Now let's get Level 4 started off!

PSA: If you guys remember Chapter 52, the little episode on Terra, you may be happy to know that I am hoping, after I finish Game Over, to begin working on a fic about the struggles of Terra's relationship with Glaive, starting from when they first met, and working my way up through the year and a half they spent before the Games, through the Games themselves, and finally chronicling the aftermath of the Games, how Terra copes and gets through.

It's my largest attempt at something in the romance genre! Serves as something of a prequel to this story. I'm still working out a title, and the decision is still ultimately mine, but what would you entitle such an epic love story? Leave your thoughts in a review!

Terra and Glaive's song – All Of Me by John Legend. Perfeeeection. :D)

~Bronwyn's POV~

Rise, Sirenia.

…Something's wrong, and I know it as soon as I open my eyes. The air around me is tight and crowded. The noises around me are watery and muffled. I can't move my arms or my legs. My eyes look around frantically. Murky water all around, but I'm dry and breathing… A glass bubble?

While my head gets together, something happens. A sharp whirring sound pierces the stifled air around me, and with a painful wrench, the odd machines that were binding my arms and legs suddenly pull away, twisting and turning in order for the mechanisms to flatten against the surface of the glass orb I'm trapped in. The orb shimmers once quickly, then the machines are gone, and the fact that I am completely sealed in because painfully apparent.

Don't panic…

I look around, duly noting a few more things as my sharpness and clarity return: I'm naked, the orb I'm trapped in is wedged slightly into a rocky section of riverbed, and there are bright lights somewhere above. I sigh, then suck in a deep breath. Summoning all the strength I'm able to, I throw myself against the side of the glass bubble, hoping it'll jerk free and float to the surface. It doesn't budge, and I'm left with a sore left shoulder and hip for my efforts…

My attempts at escape don't seem to make the orb happy. It shimmers again, and directly above, a small hole inexplicably pulls open and a high-pressure ray of water begins to blast down into the orb.

Don't panic. Don't panic. Don't panic.

I grit my teeth and throw myself repeatedly against the side of the orb, growing more and more frustrated. Why isn't it moving?! I whimper when the water level rises to my thighs. I won't last long unless I can think of something.

Swim through the hole when the water fills the bubble up? No, it's too small… Try to plug the hole? Somehow I don't think that'll be effective… Wait and drown looks like my only option, but it can't be! This is just the start of Level 4!

Don't. Panic.

I take a deep breath and relax. This… seems to have some sort of effect. I feel a very cold tingling sensation in my legs as the water rises to my thighs. Relaxation fails me a second later, as my legs suddenly seize together, and I feel cramps in every inch of my legs that are more painful than almost anything else I've ever experienced. Before I can scream, though, it's over, and it feels as if my legs were mushed together and molded into one strange, oddly limber and flexible leg.

I look down and discover that I now have the lower half of a fish. In the same moment, the bubble vanishes completely, and with a watery whoosh, I am thrown about and fully submersed in the thick water.

Time to panic.

I close my eyes and open my mouth to scream, listening to the bubbly gurgle in my muffled ears as I flail and twirl wildly in the cold, murky water, unable to function with my new fish tail in place of legs. I feel myself rising, and my mind tells me I'm drowning, but my lungs disagree. I'm actually breathing perfectly. So perfectly that I can't tell the difference between the way I breathe underwater, and the way I breathe when my head eventually breaks the surface.

"AAAH! Help! Hunter! Someone! Help me!" I yell as loud as I can up to the air.

Stop panicking.

Despite myself, I whimper and get myself under control, struggling to work with my new form. I learn, eventually, how to tread water with my fin, and it's remarkably more comfortable than doing so with legs. With my head and diaphragm above water, I pull in deep, centering breaths, looking around slowly.

The sky is filled with dusky clouds, and there's no presence of a sun behind any of them. The city below looks like an industrialized dystopia. Dark buildings rise to the sky in the distance, and closer, squatter, quainter buildings litter the land. The large skyscrapers and high-rises in the distance appear futuristic and seem to glow with vibrant red circuitry. Where I am, the desolate slums of this 'city', apparently, everything is a lot more low-tech, though still bright with many lights coming from the buildings, the street lamps, and the cruising cars. It reminds me a little of the Districts…

I feel an ache in my heart and a flash of anger. This is what they meant to make me feel. I hate the Capitol… Sighing angrily, I continue to look around, spotting a good, secluded place where it looks like I could climb to shore to collect myself more. I take a few minutes to wave my tail around and get the hang of swimming like… a fish? I seem to be a mermaid, the creature I was based off of on my chariot ride. This is definitely nothing like it was on the chariot…

Once I've got swimming down, I make my way quickly toward the shore, where I see a little case of steps for me to climb up to a stone pier. My first thought is to will my fin to split into legs, and the fact that it actually happens surprises me more than the incredibly weird feeling of it happening. Gulping, I crawl slowly up the steps, and now that I hear voices and cars, the fact that I'm naked bears further down upon me. I don't climb fully up the steps, sitting uncomfortably on the second one from the top.

For the third time in perhaps the last ten minutes, I sigh, leaning my head against the wall beside me. This is such a strange place… Even though those people up there are simulations, artificial intelligence, they're still eyes that will see me naked. I can't handle that, even if it's fake… I'll just stay here right now. After the horror that was Level 3, I need rest… Sleep…

I start to drift. My sense dull and I don't hear the footsteps approaching behind me. I'm almost asleep when I feel the heavy clap of a gloved hand against my mouth, and another strong hand taking me by the arm and yanking me up the last step to my feet.

~Rhymer's POV~

"Wooooooooooooooooooo!"

I scream with joy at the top of my lungs as I streak down the damp streets of this weirdo city. I don't even care if this is Level 4 and I'm still supposed to be fighting for my life. This is too. Fucking. Fun!

I woke up strapped up and wired into a weird machine, completely alone in an abandoned, dirty warehouse about ten minutes ago. Some voice in my head told me, "Rise, Phantom.", whatever that means. I couldn't move at all, and I didn't know how I was going to get out or if I was going to starve to death in there… When I concentrated hard enough, though, I felt myself start to… come apart a little, I guess. I looked at myself and I was all crackly and glitchy-looking, but I was able to move! I passed through the machine, then through the wall of the warehouse.

After that, I started thinking of ways I could get around this place, when suddenly, I just started running. Really fast. I found that I could run faster than a lot of the vehicles on the roads in this place, which brings me to right now, running faster than a car, grinning at the dumb faces staring at my tits as I zoom past.

I look up occasionally at the colorful lights hanging over the city's crossroads, how they shift colors and how vehicles stop when the lights are red. It's awfully strange. I'm guessing it's part of some road-rules system to keep cars from crashing all over the place, because there's a lot of cars. More so than there are in the Districts and the Capitol combined. I don't think these rules say anything about naked girls with superhuman speed, so I don't bother stopping! I turn quickly at one crossroad and barely avoid smacking headfirst into an oncoming car. I turn my head to watch it as it swerves around in surprise, and burst into laughter as it eventually crashes into a pole.

"Aaaaahahahaha- OOF!"

Mid-laugh, an incredible weight slams into me and sends me recoiling backwards suddenly. My mind goes blank, my ears stop hearing, and I feel incredibly weak and sore. As I lay on my back and stare hazily up at the sky, I see behind my eyes a glowing number '10' tick down to '2'.

It takes a few seconds for my sense to get back to me. I look down at myself and spy a huge set of bruises forming on my stomach and thighs. Then I look up to see what I hit. It looks like a fancier vehicle, with flashing lights on top of it. Amazingly, it has no wheels, and hovers over the road, making a low hum and emitting some kind of visible radiation where the wheels would be. Its hood and front bumper are dented. Not quite as dented as I think it should be… That must be one tough car. I blink when I make out what's on the side door: 'LVL4PK'. Level 4… something.

A couple of men get out of the car, and I know immediately what the 'PK' stands for. The men are bulky and are equipped with high-tech suits. They wear helmets that cover their faces and have eyeholes that glow with intimidation. The both of them are toting guns that look very familiar, if a little more futuristic and complicated.

'PK' stands for 'Peacekeepers'.

"The fuck do you think you're doing?!" one of the Peacekeepers yells at me. His suit is distorting his voice to make it deeper and more mechanical. Either that or my ears aren't working right. I try to stand to my feet, still just looking at the two of them and trying to ignore the heavy soreness in my gut.

"Shit, that's an Anomaly," the first Peacekeeper's partner says. "No one can run that fast and survive a head-on collision with a Dominaught. Kill it."

"Wait, what?" I manage to murmur out before I'm shot in the chest with a laser blast by the first Peacekeeper. I scream at the burning spike of pain and go flying back again. This time, I slam into the car that I made crash a few seconds ago, sliding down slowly onto my butt and watching the display behind my eyes take my armor from 2 to 0.

I reach my hand up and fumble for some kind of handhold. I'm still jarred and weak from the impact and have a hard time functioning. I find the side-view mirror and use that to pull myself up to my feet and lean back against the totaled car, clutching my chest and panting. I grit my teeth and look up, staring down the barrel of the other Peacekeeper's weapon.

This isn't really how it's gonna end is it? Not killed by another Tribute, but by the simulation? …How could I be so dumb? Jet died to save me. Alto is giving everything to help me…. How could this happen…

The Peacekeeper puts his finger on the trigger, and my face twists into a look of despair. All of a sudden, there's a deep, low rumbling noise far in the distance. The Peacekeeper looks away, and I strike. One punch square in the side of the head, and he staggers back, misfiring into the air and dropping his weapon. I snatch it up with one hand, then rise and lunge, using my free arm to headlock him and pin him in front of me as a human shield.

The other one fumbles for his own gun as soon as he sees the tables are starting to turn. I close one eye and take aim. It takes me four shots to hit him, and he takes a shot back before I do, searing a laser into his partner's leg. My shot catches him in the stomach, and he falls back, his weapon falling out of his hand.

I start forward, the wounded, screaming Peacekeeper still firm in my grip. All around, people have gotten out of their cars and are watching this all happen with stupid, slack-jawed looks on their faces. I don't focus on them, and keep forward until I'm right over the fallen Peacekeeper. He's still breathing. I quickly fix that with a direct two shots to the face, then drop the laser gun and cleanly snap the other Peacekeeper's neck.

I step back, looking down at the two dead Peacekeepers. I frown and raise a brow as they dissolve into pixels and two symbols: one spinning cross sign and one spinning shield. Power-ups. I touch the cross sign first and sigh as I immediately feel refreshed. The burning pain in my chest and the bruises on my stomach and thighs vanish. I touch the shield and grin as my armor is restored by five points.

The deep rumbling sound roars out again, and I turn to look where the Peacekeeper did. My eyes widen. There's a tall building in the distance that looks like it's damaged. Pink smoke rises from a point somewhere in the middle of the building. Seconds later, it happens. From the middle up, the building begins to tilt, then slowly tumble to the earth. When it hits the ground, the sound and vibrations don't reach me until seconds later, and it's loud and horrible. I struggle to stay on my feet as the ground trembles and the air groans.

When everything subsides, I hear screaming and panic from the people around me. Above my head, several large vehicles similar to the one I ran into, 'Dominaughts', fly through the air at a very fast speed toward the source of the destruction. My mind goes back to the pink smoke, and I squint. I might know what caused that.

I drop the gun and turn to the nearest woman on the street. I see a brunette who looks about my size, standing next to a building in cute clothes. I walk up to her and pull her by the arm. She whimpers. "I'm not going to kill you. I need something," I tell her curtly, focusing on being intangible. I phase through the door of the building, and am glad to see that I took her with me. The building's a closed grocery store. Good enough.

Without warning, I punch the woman as hard as I can in the face, and she drops, out like a light. …I did say I wasn't going to kill her. I kneel down and strip her of all of her clothes, putting them on for myself. Luckily, we're pretty similar in dimensions. Once I'm nice and fully dressed, I phase back out of the doorway, then turn toward the smoldering half-building in the distance. I take a deep breath, then charge forward at full speed, barreling down the street faster than anything else.

It's a good ten or so miles away. I should be there in five minutes. Then the fun will really get started.

You're my last target. The last member of the Anti-Pack. I won't let anyone else get you.

I'll kill you myself, Paisley Brookins.

(A/N: It's been forever, I know. It's been forever because I've been busy with a lot of stuff. But I'm no longer busy. Know why?

Because I just graduated high school! :D

My commencement was on Saturday, and I got my diploma this afternoon! I am DONE! …For two or so months, then it's off an hour away to Morgan State University, where I'm sure I'll have a little more legroom to commit to Game Over.

Whoever can guess the marvelous open-world game Level 4 is based off of gets a free Calamity-Cookie and a POV request for the next chapter. It can be anyone, inside the arena, like a tribute, or outside the arena, like a mentor, the First Lady, the Head Gamemaker, family at home in the Districts, etc.

Welcome me home, guys. :3 I'm here to stay for a while.)
