Happy Canada Day to my Canadian brothers and sisters! Hope this chapter meets your expectations and that you guys like it!

Not a speck of trash dared litter the pristine garden the two young women had worked so many hours on and poured their hearts and souls into. Dew dripped on the pinks and purple, the unfurling petals welcoming the morning sun with their bright oranges and yellows. Unblemished whites showed their glory while the manor was silent; all occupants sleeping save for the young woman who was stirring atop the demon's chest.

Rin's brown eyes flickered blearily from what she had slept on up to the demon's face, his dark amber eyes hidden behind magenta lids that were closed as he slumbered onward. Swallowing thickly, the young woman pulled her body up off his, her fingers running through her locks as she recalled their night of passion.

She wanted him, that much she knew. Letting her emotions get the better of her, she went to him, gave herself to him, and spent the night in his arms.

Rin sat with her head in her hands, her thoughts running a million miles an hour despite the early hour. She felt something strong for him, something she wanted to nurture and grow, but the pace scared her, the swiftness that the two of them went at making a usually cautious young woman like her nervous. Fingers nervously raked through her hair out of habit; she recalled what the demon told her in the night, recalled how her heart leapt at the words, and she hoped, she prayed, that he had been sincere.

"Rin."

As though her thoughts had conjured him, the demon's voice came clear, startling her. Turning her head, the young woman met the eyes of the demon that had woke, his fingers gently tracing up and down her bare back, the nails that could break skin leaving not a trace on her alabaster flesh.

"Did you sleep well?" he asked her casually, as though they had passed each other in the hall.

"Y-Yes, thank you," she managed to squeak out, her cheeks turning a deep red as he pulled his strong form to a seated position, the bed sheet slipping down to reveal his toned chest and abdomen. "A-And yourself?"

"Very well thank you," the demon murmured, his lips finding purchase with the crook of her neck only to have the young woman flinch at the contact. "My apologies," Sesshomaru whispered softly, his fingertips fluttered up her upper arms, "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

"N-No!" Rin protested, surprising herself with the strength in her voice, the demon pulling back at her outburst. "No," the young woman reiterated, "I-I didn't mind it…"

Her face mirrored a tomato as she realized what she just told him, her eyes avoiding his though he seemed rather amused by her antics. He had never in his life been with a woman who seemed rather embarrassed at the notion of sex. It wasn't that the young woman wasn't confident with herself, she simply seemed a mite insecure when it came to her body, something the demon found rather endearing.

Sesshomaru gently rested his head on her shoulder, the young woman turning back to look at him with softened eyes, wondering just what to do. She didn't want to leave him, not yet, but at the same time, they knew little about each other, meaning the relationship wouldn't go far if it were based purely on sex.

"Rin."

His voice disturbed her thoughts once more, her body adjusting on his large bed.

"Are you feeling uncomfortable?" the demon seemingly asked out of nowhere, Rin shaking her head in response.

"No," she mumbled, "it's just… I've never had this kind of relationship…"

"Hm," Sesshomaru hummed, his lips pressing to her shoulder, "dare I ask what kind have you had?"

"Boring… basic, uninteresting," she shrugged, "this is… something else entirely…"

"I'm flattered," the demon teased, enjoying her squeak of surprise, "but I'm nothing like what the tabloids say."

"I didn't mean that," Rin told him, "I meant… I've never felt like this around anyone…"

Sesshomaru stopped his touches as he listened to her explanation, his amber eyes flickering up to her.

"I… I like it when you look at me… and only me. When I see you, I just want to be near you and… and I feel happy when you held me…"

"Then we're one in the same," the demon told her softly, his fingers resuming their voyage over her hips, Rin looking at him in surprise.

She found it almost impossible to think that an imposing and regal demon such as he held those feelings of nervousness and uncertainty in his heart.

"Is it so hard to think of that?" Sesshomaru mirrored her thoughts.

"You don't show it like others do," Rin murmured softly, "it's kind of hard to read your emotions."

"Yet you do it better than most," the demon admitted, "though… it may have more to do with the fact that since meeting you I've become more expressive."

"I think you're giving me too much credit," the young woman smiled for the first time in the morning.

"I don't," Sesshomaru admitted, "since meeting you, I've managed to become some semblance of civil towards my brother. That is a feat no one else has claimed."

Again she smiled to him, blushing lightly at his praise. In response, the demon lowered his lips to press against hers, Rin humming at the contact, feeling excitement in her veins at their touch.

Their kiss was chaste, for a moment. Slowly, the demon pressed stronger into her, her body falling back to the mattress, her demon lover atop her slim form, the amber eyes pulling back to look down at her.

"You're still unsure about this, aren't you?" Sesshomaru murmured, his eyes flickering over her alabaster flesh, the marks from the night before evident on her chest and collarbone. His response was given as Rin bit her lower lip and nodded, almost embarrassed at her answer. "Then how about this," the demon suggested, "you give me a chance, and I do what I can to keep you by my side."

"Which would be?" Rin questioned.

"Everything to make you happy," the demon smiled down at her, the sight almost enough to make her heart stop.

"I-I don't want a one-sided relationship-"

"It won't be," Sesshomaru promised, "for I am happy when you are simply near me."

"That's not what I mean," she shook her head, "you shouldn't be in a relationship to find out if you care for someone but-"

"After last night, do you think I don't care for you?" the demon questioned, "you'd think I'd do that to someone I had no feelings for?"

"No I-uh-"Rin paused, wondering how to put the uncertainty in her heart to words.

"Rin," Sesshomaru murmured, his fingers reaching to brush her bangs from her face, "let me show you how much I care for you."

Her heart leapt in her throat at his words, her dark eyes flickered towards his, her body slowly lifting up to kiss him timidly.

"As long as you can put up with me," the young woman teased, her lips pulling into a kind smile as his arms slipped around her slim back and pressed her close.

"I think it's the other way around," Sesshomaru murmured, his nose to the crook of her neck, his lungs inhaling deeply.

Still smiling, the young woman managed to slip out of his grasp, the demon watching as she slipped back into her pyjamas to venture to her room for some fresh clothes. Rin didn't know how this was going to work, how she was going to be able to do her business and keep up a relationship with one of the most desired demons.

Clad in a white and yellow summer's dress, Rin descended the stairs to where the demon was, his hands holding two cups of tea in white mugs. Thanking him, the young woman moved with the demon to the patio, both of them sitting silence as they sipped their drinks.

"Kagome is going to have my head," Rin mumbled, disturbing the silence.

"And just why is that?" Sesshomaru inquired.

"Because I was always the one to tell her not to get involved with our clients," she teased softly, "and yet here I am…"

"She's no saint herself," the demon murmured, "I saw her leaving with my brother."

"Well, in all fairness, this is the first time we've ever done something… like this," she felt herself bush deeply for what must've been the umpteenth time, feeling embarrassed at how easily he could turn her face red.

"It's the same with us," Sesshomaru explained, "so you two aren't alone in figuring this out."

"You do realize that this means you'll be seeing more of your brother, right?" Rin questioned with a teasing grin as the demon grimaced slightly, "that is… if Kagome and him worked it out."

"Well, he's coming over later today," the demon murmured, "so you can ask them then."

"So… you're actually okay having your brother over?"

"Not entirely," Sesshomaru muttered, "but… we're getting along better than we were."

"That's good," Rin laughed, her eyes looking out to the garden that she and Kagome had worked so hard on.

"My father would be very impressed with you," the demon told her, the young woman turning to him slightly confused.

"You mean… with the garden?" she asked, her head tilting slightly.

"I meant with making me have some semblance of a heart," Sesshomaru grinned, his body lifting up to move over to her, his lips lowering to press against hers.

Hand extended, the demon pulled her to her feet, the two moving towards the private garden that brought them together in the first place.

"I've always wondered why you chose what you did for the last garden," Rin asked, her feet crunching over the stones as they both walked around the gardens.

"Because it reminds me of you," the demon told her honestly, "it was… what was it, a rare beauty?"

"And delicate," the young woman nodding, her eyes glancing to the Plumeria, feeling that the flower was quite appropriate.

"It appears when I give you flowers I have to be careful of their meaning," Sesshomaru murmured, Rin giggling in response.

"Don't," she shook her head, "I won't think about it too much."

"Too much?" the demon pressed with a small grin.

"What sort of women have you been with?" Rin asked, her eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"Nothing like you," Sesshomaru told her honestly, his hand slipping around her hip, pulling her close to him, Rin feeling warmth spread from where he touched her.

"RIN!?"

Both heads turned to the sound of the young woman's voice, the demon sighed as Rin groaned.

"She has quite a loud voice… doesn't she?" Sesshomaru questioned, the demon chuckling as Rin held her face in her hands.

"Piss her off," she muttered, "I think she'll reach an octave only you and your brother can hear."

"Something to look forward too," the demon murmured as Rin made her way back towards the manor, her eyes searching for her friend and business partner.

"Rin! Rin- RIN!"

"Kagome!" the young woman shouted back, her head poking into the house from the glass doors, Kagome peeking out from the kitchen.

"There you are!" the other grinned, practically bouncing over to her friend, her arms flinging over the elder's shoulders, much to Rin's surprise.

"Ka-Kagome-"

"We didn't do anything!" Kagome suddenly announced, "I swear! We just kissed an cuddled!"

"Wh-What are you-?"

"I know how much you're against the whole having a relationship with the client thing-"

Kagome's ranting stopped as she saw Sesshomaru slipped into the house from where Rin was, her blue eyes then darting to the two mugs of white cups on the porch's table.

"You didn't," the younger started, looking towards her friend, "after all the crap you've given do not tell me-"

"Kagome," Rin interrupted, "I-I understand how hypocritical this is-"

"You did!?" Kagome squeaked, both Sesshomaru and InuYasha, who had appeared from the kitchen.

"I-I… uh-"

"Oh finally!"

Rin was now immensely confused as she was pulled into yet another rib-crushing hug.

"Now I can feel less guilty about what we did!" Kagome told her, grinning like a cat who had found the cream, "and you've finally found someone for you!"

"Ex… cuse me!?"

"Oh, I lied about us doing nothing," the other brushed off, "but that's cause I thought you were still really against us being with people that were once our clients. OH! But it's not like I'm going to be with every guy I met I'm not like that," she turned to InuYasha to assure him, the bewildered look on his face telling the two of them he wasn't fully paying attention to her ramblings, "but I'm so happy you're together!"

Kagome grinned expectedly at her friend, the rest of them looking at her in amazement.

"Thank… you?" Rin responded, looking at her friend's excited face.

"So, this means we'll be taking a break from work right?" Kagome asked, her hands pulling her friend towards the kitchen for something for breakfast, "you know… for reasons?"

"Kagome!" the young woman announced, "seriously!?"

Giggling, her friend pulled the elder away from the demon brothers, Sesshomaru and InuYasha turning to glance at each other.

"I think we're both in for one hell of a ride," InuYasha muttered.

Sesshomaru chuckled softly, his eyes turning to where both women were.

"You expected anything less from them?" the demon asked, moving with the younger to where their girlfriends and their new beginnings were.

So... horribly cheesy... sorry... but thanks for sticking with this story and thanks for all the support!
