Chapter 21: Dangerous Liaisons

She remembered when she had finally come to accept Sebastian as a mate, there were a few other factors that played the part, and in the end she was happy. Kagome mused in remembrance of what had happened between them from the beginning to the day that they were finally mated, however not everything was a sweet beginning. Especially for her, there were a few things that need to be proven and it was an almost too painful process that took a toll on her body after a while as well.

For a while, Kagome felt the familiar pull of her soul towards Sebastian was slowly growing as did a certain dark desire in her to just consume him, not for him, but for his power, the untold power that he held within him that would make her all the more so powerful. Especially making the Shikon no Tama even more invincible than it already is, the direction of what she was thinking shock her as she shook her head to draw her mind over other matters that needed her attention as she discarded such dangerous ideas.

Their bond was not sealed and consummated, neither was it something that she was ready for or desired for. It was all that demon's doing that she was now mated to him, and it scares her how things are going forth so fast. She is young by demon standard, especially to Sesshoumaru. There were already so many boundaries, which Sebastian and her were pushing, and it, though much as she admits that there is some form of an attraction and sexual tension between them, there was also the struggle of power. Many a time she was lulled by the draw of the Shikon calling through her towards Sebastian, and many a time she was nearly consumed by it.

These days, Kagome avoided Sebastian, afraid that she would consume him. Already she felt that the Shikon was slowly consuming her despite of her fight against it for control over her own body. Now she avoided him, out camping and hunting in the countryside, almost like she was back to the Feudal Era, thought it will never be the same.

Months has passed, and though Sebastian was being more than accommodating to Kagome's stalling and avoidance, however he was starting to tire of the game that she was playing at. Sebastian growled in annoyance as the mansion's staffs avoided his path, Ciel was also somehow getting in his way with the many things that were tasked to him. And with each passing day with the number of task that he was given, was starting to cut short his patience. His contract with this human was what was binding him now, and it was contract that Sebastian was not looking forward to have it broken or someone else taking his meal.

It was months later, much to Kagome's own peace and luxury of not having the need to see Sebastian, was starting to feel the depravity that her soul was calling for, but even more so was the power that the Shikon was calling to. The power that reacted strongly to only Sebastian was making her crave for something more as her stomach crawled with excitement of something that was brewing. She was however far away from London, back to Japan as she watches the many changes that had caused the landscape to change and where trade was bustling. Women still did not have much of a stand in this time and world, all she could do was to make do and stay indoors at the manor that Sesshoumaru and her will usually stay should they return.

However her luxury time was cut short that one night when her room was invaded by the demon that had haunted her when his pair of red eyes first saw her. And now they watched her with hunger that sent a slight shiver down her back as she held her own steady gaze as though challenging him, her lips curling up as it showed her teeth bared in what one could relate to as a demon's way of showing offence and a warning. He was enjoying it, and by no means was he going to allow anyone disrupt him tonight or the next few. As thought going against his thoughts, demons armed and deadly formed a semi-circle behind him as they seemed to wait for an attack order.

Kagome stood, this time her hands raised up to hold them back as they retreated back, watching his every move and for the signal to attack should their mistress needs it. It was rare in these days for a mere human to be able to order and command so many demons, however she was no ordinary human as well, and all the more delectable it was to him as he grinned at it, relishing the mere energy that surrounds the atmosphere around them. He noticed the rise in power in her again, just like the time when they were fighting on a particular moonlit night that refused to leave him, and now he was not going to let it end like it did then, but to finish it. A burst of pure energy swept through the wide radius of the surrounding lands rolled off Kagome as she turned a stern look to the other demons, immediately dismissing them but never losing her main focus.

He did not care who saw or where they began, but followed her as they all but ran and fought along the way towards the forested areas that were still primitive and where energy were fresh and in abundance. Though Kagome may know the lands well, however it is in no way an advantage to her still, as she knows that nothing but her will distract the demon that was hot on her heels. She felt the adrenaline rushing through her body, reminding her of the past when she too was running away from demons, but that was when she knows not how to defend herself and was seeking shelter. Now this was different, it was time to end everything with Sebastian, and much as her mind was screaming for her to get a hold of his power, she had other things on her mind, like getting rid of the mark that still nestle on the junction where her neck and shoulder met.

For the first time, Kagome raised hell, and it was almost liberating as she felt the flow of power coursing through her body. The amount of power that had tempted her and brought out a different her as a now almost sadistic smile did not leave her face and things became more different. What shocked Sebastian was the few times that she had managed to sneaked up behind of him as she purred into his ears, sliding against his back at the contact of their body. However he soon noticed that each time she did it, he felt the draining of energy and power seemingly disappeared. And his confirmation was when she had came up from before him like a wisp, grabbing the side of his face as she kissed him so deeply that he did not have time to react, even when she had grazed her own fangs over his lower lips, drawing blood from it.

And when she had enough, Kagome laughingly was all but practically walking away from him as though dismissing him. He distracted her, coming away from her weaker side as she growled out at him, hissing when she felt blood drawn from her before she stood up proudly and with such arrogance one could feel the regality that was coming off her. Though that was not what caught his attention, it was those eyes, the honeyed ones that told him all that he needed to know, and a confirmation.

"Really, Sebastian, you have so much wonder that never cease to fill me," she purred out, watching him with amusement as she adjusted the thin yukata that she wore to sleep to give herself more space to walk freely as it was exposed to a rather high position of nearing enough to show her lower parts.

He had always found this side of her a fiery vixen that will never submit to anyone and just love to have fun, however it was all just to lead him on, and he realized that he would need to do something about it soon, and fast if he did not want to lose a mate. He smirked as his own swirl of energy surrounded him, to show him in all his glory, the luster in Kagome's eyes glowed and shimmered brightly as she seemed mesmerized by it, with a lust that he knows all too well.

The fun began as they fought to near death, with Sebastian knocking some sense back in Kagome as he watched her fight him and an internal battle of control over her own body. It was indeed a remarkable sight, however it was draining him as she tried to feed and absorb him till he was dry and turned to ash. He had held back in the past, but now he saw that it was time to conquer the likes of Kagome, and take her on fully as his mate, and consummate their union.

She never did anything less but fought him with every single fiber in her being whether she was under the influence of the Shikon or not, and he it was somewhat intoxicating as he watches her moves with the flow of water. And by the time it was mid-day they were collapsed on the forest floor.

He remembered well of how their first consummation was like, and up till now in the modern times, she is still very much so feisty and all claws in bed as they practically devoured one another. And much as it was satisfying, they never stopped experimenting.

I'm sorry if the ending chapter is not as strong, I really do appreciate and love your reviews, I hope that you'd not be disappointed that this story has to end. However there is always the second story "Being Open Minded". You'll for sure still find some mischief caused by Kagome and Sebastian through the stories as well.
