Hi :)
This is my new idea it's called Revenge, I know I didn't updated As Time Goes By for a while but I had a mental block and this idea came into my mind so I wrote this, tell me if you want me to keep writing or if you have a better idea. I will try to update my other story this week.
I really hope you like it
Here's the plot:
Caroline Forbes and Niklaus Mikealson start a relationship even when her friends are against it, one day Damon took everything (including Klaus) from Caroline's life, so she decided to turn her feelings off and revenge her mother death and the apparent murder of her boyfriend but everything take a surprising twist when Klaus returns and she isn't capable of loving him back anymore.
"Love is a vampire greatest weakness," said the voice in her head. It was a quiet night in the forest, the wind as her only companion. Everything she ever loved was now gone, one mistake had cost her everything. Now her grief was too much for her to bare.
Her mother was dead. Damon had taken her family away from her. Yet, she knew she couldn't put all the blame on him. She blamed herself too. She knew that falling in love with him was risky. Her silly ideas and fantasies of true love blinded her. She wished with all her might that she could rewind time and go back. Back to when her only concerns were cheerleading, human boys and clothes. Back to the the time when her family and friends were safe from supernatural creatures. But that was just a fantasy, something unreachable now. Werewolves, witches, vampires and hybrids were real, and dangerous, and she was one of them too.
He had been the most powerful creature on Earth and now he was gone. She felt so vulnerable and lost without him.
*** Flashback***
Caroline was packing everything she could, she and Klaus were leaving town tonight. Her mother was helping her. She didn't love the idea of her daughter running away with one of the most dangerous men in the world, but Caroline was old enough, and strong enough, to make that kind of decision for herself.
"I'm gonna miss you, sweetheart," she whispered as eyes filled with tears "Do not say goodbye. This is just for a little while. I promise you that I'll be back when this nightmare ends," Caroline said trying to convince her mom and herself that this was true. She and Klaus had to leave before Damon caught up with them. He had found the remains of the last White Oak Tree, fashioning a few stakes and targeting the originals. Finn had been the first original dead and Rebekah, Elijah and Kol had left town as quick as possible soon after. She and Klaus would meet up with them, hopefully.
The sheriff took Caroline's hand and pulled her down to sit next to her.
"You're an amazing woman, Caroline. Your father was very proud of you, you know. Maybe he hated the idea of vampires, but he still loved you so much. You're kind and you see love where other people don't see anything, you're everything that I ever wanted in a daughter." Caroline felt the tears on her cheeks. Her mom was never the emotional type and she didn't want to say goodbye, knowing that she wouldn't see her mother again for several years. She hugged her mom and whispered to her, "You're the best mom, I couldn't ask for more."
What happened next was indescribable. Everything happened so fast. One minute she was hugging her mother and crying, the next - Damon was bursting into the room.
"Where is he Barbie?" He bared his fangs, blinded by anger. "Get out of my house Damon!" Standing up, guarding her mother, Caroline flashed her fangs right back at him. "This time I'm not playing any games. You tell me or I will have to make some drastic moves to get him here." His eyes gleamed.
Caroline barely heard his warning as she moved as fast as she could to her desk, grabbing the wooden stake inside of her duffel bag. She turned around and was startled to see her mother standing right behind her. Her mother's eyes glazed over as her mother whispered, "Caroline" before slinking to the floor, a White Oak Tree stake in her back. Blood was pooling around her short blonde hair. Caroline's stood wide-eyed, unable to move. Her mother was dead. Alive one minute and dead the next. She listened to her mother's heart beat fade away. Damon's deep voice quickly brought her back.
"Such a shame," his eyes furrowed looking at the limp body on the floor. Caroline's eyes darkened as she lept at him, growling with anger. Damon was caught off guard as Caroline plunged her hand into his chest. Damon quickly grabbed her arm and held her in place.
"Not today Barbie," he smirked in pain as he pulled her hand out and pushed her hard against the wall, Caroline spit in his face as she pushed back, throwing Damon out of the window. She blurred as fast as she could to the windowsill, peering into the night. But he was gone.
Caroline rushed to where her mom was lying limp on the ground. Caroline's eyes filled with tears as she slowly removed the stake from her back and threw it across the room. She hugged her mother as tight as she could.
"Don't leave me mom, please, please don't leave me," her head was spinning from the pain in her chest. First her father, now her mother. Both gone because of vampires, because of her.
She slowly picked her mother up and placed her on her bed. She pulled her phone out and hit the redial button, she had to tell Nik what happened. The phone rang and rang, but he didn't answer. She called again.
"Please Nik answer," Caroline begged into the phone crying.
This time when it went to voicemail, Caroline left a message:"Nik, Damon came into my house and killed my mom, I can't leave tonight. Please call me back." She hung up the phone and sat down by her mother's side. She couldn't leave tonight, not with her mother dead. She deserved a funeral and she deserved her daughter to be there. "If Nik wants to leave tonight, he'll just have to go without me," she thought to herself.
The bleep of the phone connected her to reality. Caroline looked down at her phone and tilted her head in confusion. The ringing wasn't from her phone. She sat up and turned her attention to the window, the sound coming from a phone under the curtain. Damon's phone.
He must have dropped it? Caroline took the phone and looked at the caller on the screen. Her eyes widened as the name of her ex-boyfriend.
"Why is he calling Damon?" she thought, Tyler and Damon were never friends. The phone stopped ringing and within a minute there was a notification of a new text. The words popped up on the screen.
"I got him. Klaus is dead."
Caroline's world stopped as the phone fell from her hands and crashed against the floor.
***End of Flashback***
Caroline was deep in the forests of Mystic Falls, running as fast as she could dodging trees. She had cried more than she could bare at her mother's funeral and now she was running away from her emotions. "These are the last tears of my life," she promised to herself, turning her emotions off. Never again would she let herself feel that pain and grief. Never again would she feel love and loss. All she would feel is anger.
When she stopped running, she found herself at Elena's house. She stood outside and listened. Elena was home from the funeral and she was alone. Caroline clenched her teeth and walked up to the door, letting herself in.
Elena was sitting at the dining room table, drinking a cup of coffee as their eyes met.
"Oh Caroline," Elena said as she rushed to her friend, wrapping her arms around her and hugging her. Caroline tried to feel the warmt of her friend's embrace, but her touch felt like ice, burning her to her core.
"How are you feeling? Want to sit and talk?" Elena leaned back, meeting the rage in Caroline's eyes.
"Are you ok, Care?" Elena's eyes widened, frightened. Caroline looked at her best friend and tried to remember their times together. But all their memories meant nothing, it was like they belonged to someone else.
"I've never been better," Caroline bared her fangs, biting into her wrist and grabbing Elena's head forcing her to drink her blood. Elena struggled to fight Caroline, her eyes in shock. Then Caroline threw her to the floor, taking out a handkerchief and slowly wiping her already healed wrist clean. Elena looked up in dismay.
"What the hell, Care?" Elena was almost in tears, backing up against the wall and wiping the blood away from her mouth. "Are you possessed or something?"
"I fixed myself, Elena." Caroline narrowed her eyes at her friend, the fear making her feel powerful. "They said that love is the vampire greatest weakness and let me tell you Elena ... I will never be weak again" Caroline slowly walked to where Elena was huddled on the floor and kneeled down, looking at her friend.
"What did you do?" Elena stared into Caroline's dark eyes. Caroline gave Elena a simple smirk.
"I just turned it off," she replied as she took Elena's head between her hands. She felt Elena grow stiff. "And please, tell Damon ... that the war is on," she whispered, quickly snapping Elena's neck. Elena's body immediately went limp and fell to the floor. Caroline sighed and stood up, straightening her blazer and running her hands through her head. Too easy, she thought to herself as she blurred out of the house as quick as she could. She quickly found herself at the Mikealson mansion, standing in Klaus' room.
"Where's my brother?" Rebekah's voice startled her. Caroline turned around to see Rebekah standing in the doorway, Stefan standing by her side.
Caroline cooly answered, "Damon killed him." She ran her fingers along Klaus' many drawings on his old wooden desk.
She heard Rebekah's body crumple on the floor as her screams overtook the quiet bedroom. Stefan reached down to hug her but at the same time, he couldn't keep his eyes off of Caroline. He noticed it, Caroline was different.
"Pull yourself together, Rebekah," the cool voice of Caroline cut the air, the original sister immediately stopped and looked to where the baby vampire was standing.
This time Stefan was the one that broke the silence, "What did you do, Caroline?"
It was the second time she had heard that question today, as if it mattered.
"Nothing, Stefan." She slowly walked to where the pair was huddled in the doorway. She bent down to look both of them in the eye, "I am going to honor Nik by doing what he did best."
Rebekah and Stefan looked back at her with confusion, and terror. She smirked an evil smile, "I'm going to get my revenge," she whispered before blurring herself out of the room and into the vast emptiness of the forest.
She would make Damon pay for all the damage he caused. He killed her mother and the love of her life. He had created her, a monster. She would let him know that every single day of his eternity, she was coming back for Elena's. She didn't feel an ounce of regret ... and she liked it.
So what do you think? Let me know if your like this or not
