I know that you guys were probably expecting a new chapter, and I'm really sorry for that, but this author's note is very important. The main reason why I'm not continuing with this story is simply for the lack of direction and storyline. Even I, the author of the story, can't decide where it's going and it's really quite frustrating.
I am starting a new story, and that's the main reason why I updated this story first. I want all of you that have reviewed to please be on the lookout for the new story. Y'all have been awesome to review like you have, even though some reviewers have been not-so-nice (I'll get to that in a moment). I've decided that this new story is going to simply be a collection of one-shots, all completely un-related, and some might even be slightly AU. There will be at least one for each girl, and they will each include a dance that they are performing, and how the dance relates to them or something that happened/is happening in their lives. It might get kinda weird... In one chapter we might read about Chloe who is 18 at the time, and then in the next read about Nia who is 12. One chapter might happen just like it does on the show, then the next might be completely different. I know that this might seem pretty weird, but as soon as I finish this collection of one-shots (which I'm already working on and they'll be published once I get three or more done), I'm doing an actual story that will follow them as they begin their careers, dance-related or not, and they'll be aged about 18+.
Now that's out of the way, I'd like to address a few reviews.
- Any who commented on the formatting:
I have no idea what happened here. The formatting was perfectly fine when I published it, then it screwed up again, so I went back and edited it, and now here it is all messed up again. But, I swear, I'm not stupid enough to break the story up into paragraphs in the middle of sentences. :)
- Guest who commented on the past and present tense being mixed up:
Thank you for pointing this out. Yes, this was definitely a problem in this story, but I've improved my writing, and I promise there won't be any such confusion in my upcoming stories.
- Aliena:
Your criticism- or "critism" as you call it, might hurt a little less if you knew how to spell.
- Everyone else:
I just want y'all to know how much it means to me when you review and take an interest in my stories. I love getting reviews; not only do they remind me that people actually do read my dreadful junk, but they tell me what I need to improve on, what y'all enjoy seeing more of, and what I need to nix. Thank you for that.
I just want to say that if any of you want to comment on my upcoming story, or if you have any ideas or input at all, please PM me. I'm still trying to figure out a name for this collection of one-shots, as well as an idea for a cover picture, so if you have any ideas please do review or PM me. I love hearing from y'all!
My time is up and I thank you for yours,
Clementine Plum
