Title: Parallel Opposites
Rating: T, for cursing
Genre: General
Summary: Unsurprisingly, Tsuna is once again shot by the malfunctioning Ten Year Bazooka. When he opens his eyes, he finds himself sleeping on Hibari's lap. What's more, in this world, it seems that Tsuna's the carnivore and Hibari's the herbivore. /1827/

Prologue

"Dame-Tsuna, you're going to be late."

Tsuna opened his eyes immediately and swiftly rolled out of his bed before Reborn was able to hit him with his ten ton Leon hammer. Reborn smirked at this and made another swing which Tsuna, this time, was not able to avoid. Tsuna released a groan as he felt the heavy weight.

Reborn hopped out of the bed and landed in front of Tsuna. "Your reflexes are improving, but it's not enough," he added as he waggled his foot on Tsuna's face. "Anyway, you only have ten minutes left or do you want to see Hibari's tonfas?"

Tsuna's eyes widened as he looked at his clock, noting that it was ten minutes before eight. "Why didn't you wake me up sooner? Hibari-san's going to bite me to death!"

The door slammed open, revealing Lambo with his Ten Year Bazooka in his hands. "Reborn, I'm going to defeat you!"

Reborn ignored him and jumped back to his hammock, immediately falling asleep. As if it was a routine, Lambo started sobbing and pointed his bazooka towards Reborn. Failing to notice the sparks coming from the bazooka and before Tsuna could intervene, Lambo pulled the trigger and a cloud of smoke filled the room. Lambo stopped crying when he heard a deep, calm voice, finding the tone weird for Tsuna.

"Reborn, where am I?"

Reborn apparently was awake the whole time. With only one glance at his student, Reborn easily concluded this was a Tsuna from a parallel world as opposed to his Ten Year Later self. While there was no blatant change in outward appearance, this Tsuna's eyes were carefully examining the room – a stark contrast to his student's always panicking ones.

His aura was nice, too. Intimidating, frightening—

Just like Hibari Kyouya.

When his useless student returns, he's going to need to train him. A lot.

Tsuna opened his eyes, dizzy from travelling through what seemed to be an endless spiral of flashing neon colours. He sat up and shook his head, an attempt to lessen the headache he's feeling; his vision was still blurry as he tried to adjust to his surroundings. As his sight cleared, he recognised Namimori Middle School's roof. Eh? Was I teleported here? It must be Lambo's bazooka malfunctioning again. Well, I did see sparks coming from it. This saves me from being bitten to death! Tsuna smiled.

"Tsunayoshi?"

Tsuna shrieked upon recognising the voice, surprise overwhelming him at the presence of the prefect. "Hibari-san! I-I d-didn't see y-you! Was I lying on your lap? If I was so... I'm going to get bitten to death. Lambo can have my candies. I-pin can have the dumplings I bought the other day. Fuuta can have my video games. Reborn can have the hat I had sewn for Leon. Gokudera, well, anything would work as long as it's from me. Yamamoto—"

"Tsunayoshi!"

"Y-yes?" Tsuna was terrified until he noticed something. "Did you just call me Tsunayoshi?" he asked while rubbing his ears, making sure he didn't hear wrong.

Hibari blinked. "I always call you that, and why are you calling me Hibari-san? You always use Kyouya."

"Me calling you by your first name? Your name's practically taboo," said Tsuna.

"Taboo?" Hibari furrowed his eyebrows. "Tsunayoshi, you're acting weird. Are you alright? Do you feel sick?" He placed his right hand on Tsuna's forehead and the left to his own. "No fever; your temperature is normal."

Tsuna sputtered at the sudden contact. "D-don't you hate me?"

"Why would I hate you?" Hibari looked confused.

Tsuna could only stare at him. What the heck is going on? Why is he acting like this?

"Do you want to go to the infirmary? Maybe you banged your head on something. I can't see a bruise, though," said Hibari.

Even if this was a prank and Reborn managed to force everyone to cooperate, Tsuna was confident Hibari would never go this far – acting like he was worried about him, touching his forehead, and, above all, suppressing his desire to bite him to death.

Hibari standing up distracted him from his thoughts, and it was only the moment Hibari offered him a hand that Tsuna realised the prefect was wearing the normal school uniform. He sniggered at the sight, but hesitantly took the hand. They had only walked a few steps when Hibari tripped. Luckily, Tsuna was able to catch him before he landed on the floor.

Regaining his composure, Hibari immediately stood on his own feet. "Thanks, Tsunayoshi."

"Y-you're welcome." Tsuna glanced sideways, finding the atmosphere awkward.

Both teens jolted at the sharp ringing of the first bell. "I'll see you later in the Reception Room, Tsunayoshi."

"Eh, why would I go there?" A taboo room for a taboo man.

Hibari once more looked confused. "Don't you have work to do? After all, you are the Disciplinary Committee's Chairman." He pointed on the Tsuna's left shoulder.

Tsuna's gaze fell on the red and yellow object hanging on his left arm, his eyes widened, mouth opened in both sheer shock and horror. Unbelievable, simply unbelievable.

It was the Disciplinary Chairman's armband.

Tsunayoshi's eyes narrowed, analysing his current surroundings. A few minutes ago, he was on his school's rooftop sleeping on his adorable lover's lap; now, he had no idea where he had gotten himself into. All he remembered was suddenly opening his eyes to find he was in an enclosed space, no more cemented floor, no more fresh air, no more Kyouya's lap.

Eyes roaming around the room, his gaze halted upon seeing a baby wearing a black suit, with a chameleon perched on his fedora. He looked down and asked, "Reborn, where am I?"

Reborn tilted his head upwards but ignored Tsunayoshi's question, he asked, "Sawada Tsunayoshi, what am I to you?"

"A worthy opponent."

Reborn tilted his fedora downwards. "Go to school. You'll find your answers there."

Tsunayoshi raised an eyebrow, but decided not to question the baby. This was Reborn after all – an opponent he saw as his only worthy one, a person who could always make him feel the adrenaline rush of a battle, his tutor who he still had yet to defeat.

With one foot already on the sill, he was about to leave through the window when he noticed he was no longer wearing his usual black trousers. Tsunayoshi looked at his left arm, lips curling to a snarl.

Where's my armband?
