Solatiri kept her eyes closed as she felt warmth around her. It felt very calming and peaceful. She didn't know what was happening but she never wanted it to end. She silently gasped as she suddenly felt a pair of lips pressed against hers in a soft kiss.

"Open your eyes, my love."

Solatiri slowly opened her eyes. At first, she only saw a blurred image, but as soon as her eyes focused, she gasped. There before her was Boromir, smiling. Solatiri looked at him in disbelief.

"Boromir?" she asked. "It is…can it be you?"

She raised her hand and gently touched his cheek. Boromir felt real. She sat up and gently ran her hand across his face. It really was him.

"Boromir!" she smiled as tears came to her eyes.

He smiled and pulled her into a tight hug. Solatiri held onto him hoping he would never let her go.

"I knew I would see you again", she said.

"And you were right", Boromir said. "I've been watching over you all these months. I'm proud of you."

"Proud of me? For what?"

"You were able to go on as long as you did without me", he said. "You braved through all the battles."

Boromir kissed her forehead.

"You gave life to our son and daughter."

Solatiri gave a sad smile and looked away.

"But now we won't be able to raise our children or watch them grow up", she said.

"Not directly", he said. "But I know Faramir and Eowyn will. Look."

Boromir turned her around. Solatiri gasped as she looked below them. All the citizens of Minas Tirith had gathered at the top level of the city. Gandalf and Aragorn stood in front of all the people as Gandalf held the crown of the king for all to see. He placed the crown on Aragorn which fit perfectly.

"Now come the days of the king", he said with a smile. "May they be blessed."

Solatiri smiled as she watched. Aragorn had finally taken his rightful place as king of Gondor. She felt tears of joy as she saw Faramir and Eowyn. In their arms were little Boromir and Solatiri sleeping soundly.

"Faramir and Eowyn will take good care of them", Boromir said.

"I trust they will", Solatiri said. "What do we do now?"

"Heaven awaits us, my love. At last, you and I will be together forever, with no one to pull us apart."

She smiled and kissed his lips as everything moved just the way Gandalf said it would. The curtain of this world rolled back and all turned to silver glass. Boromir and Solatiri headed toward what was waiting for them. White shores and beyond, a far green country beneath a swift sunrise.
