"I want them to hurry!"

Demanded one Sebastian Smythe as he paced the small waiting room. He hated waiting, always did and always will. He let out a small sigh of frustration as his husband let out a small laugh.

"Bas! Just relax, you can't blame someone for taking long during birth."

Kurt Hummel-Smythe chirped, flipping the page of a way out dated issue of Vogue, his eyes flicking up briefly to see the annoyed look he as getting from Sebastian. He heard the creaking of a chair to his left and heard Sebastian let out another sigh who then proceeded to rest his head on his husband's shoulder.

Kurt threw the magazine onto the chair beside him and rested his head on top Sebastian's, yawning slightly. It has been five hours since they got the call that Rachel had gone into labour and four since they've waited to hear another update from Finn.

If you told either Kurt or Sebastian 5 years ago that they would be married and waiting for their son whose surrogate mother was one Rachel Berry, they would have laughed in your face and told you to get lost but that was indeed their situation now. It was Finn who came to them once him and Rachel found out she was pregnant. At the time, Finn and Rachel both agreed it wasn't the right time to have a family, Finn just got cast in a movie and Rachel was about to make her Broadway debut. Thankfully at the time, Sebastian and Kurt were settled down, Sebastian an intern at a major business firm and Kurt a music teacher at NYADA, and looking for someone to help them start a family. Nine months later, here they were. Waiting in a small waiting room, slowly counting the hours till they see their new son or daughter.

After another two hours, Finn crashed through the door with a huge grin and pulled both waiting males into a massive bear hug. "It's a girl!" And with that announcement, both Sebastian and Kurt gave Finn a kiss on the cheek before erupting into a chorus of cheers. Sebastian and Kurt wrapped their arms around each other and kissed softly before turning to Finn.

"Take us to see her."

Kurt asked, his excitement building and he reached for Seb's hand as Finn nodded and practically pulled them to the quiet delivery room. When they entered, Kurt let out a small gasp, tears starting to form in his eyes. Sleeping soundly in Rachel's was the most beautiful child he has ever seen. Sebastian felt his chest swell with love as he took the seat next to the bed and reached his hand to stroke the child's, his and Kurt's child's, hair.

"She's beautiful."

He whispered and looked back at Kurt with a smile and held out his hand for his husband to take and come closer. Kurt took his hand and went over, sitting on Seb's lap, watching the small child's chest rise and fall. Kurt gave Rachel a smile and kissed Sebastian a kiss on the cheek, allowing the tears of joy to now fall.

"Thank you, Rachel. Thank you for helping us become parents."

Kurt whispered his thanks to his friend before letting out a small gasp as Rachel shifted and placed the new born into his arms. Quickly fixing himself on Sebs lap, Kurt looked at his daughter with a smile. The room was silent for a few minutes, only breaking when the nurse asked what the child's name would be. Rachel nodded to Sebastian who spoke quickly.

"Elizabeth Hummel-Smythe."
