My Puckleberry one-shot about Rachel leaving to New York on the train and Puck shaping a heart with his hands over his chest to Rachel. His final goodbye. Hope you enjoy!

He watched her get out of the car and make her way towards them.

Glee club was saying goodbye to their most important member. Rachel Barbra Berry.

She was leaving, off to New York, where she belonged.

NYADA is one lucky ass school for landing Rachel.

He was so happy for her. She was getting out of Lima-freaking-Ohio like she always wanted. But at the same time, he didn't want her to go. To leave him.

And then it finally sank in. She was leaving him.

His golden star was leaving him all by himself. She was going to make something of herself. She was going to shine even brighter than she already does.

He'll probably never talk to her again.

Of course, she says they'll all keep in touch, and maybe for a while they will, but that's what everyone says. But in a couple weeks, in a couple months, hell, maybe even in a couple years, she'll get too caught up in college and New York and Broadway to talk to her friends from high school.

Because high school was her past, and New York was her future.

He watched as she made the procession through the Glee club. She hugged some, but not all, which was not a Rachel Berry thing to do at all, because she was totally into team bonding and group hugs and crap.

But she did reach out and touch them. Briefly on the arm, some on the hand. Her final goodbye. She brushed her hand against his as she made her way to Kurt.

He wanted, no, needed, more. He needed a better goodbye. He wanted a hug, a kiss, something more than just a brush! He wanted to give her something to remember him by.

He lost sight of her for a couple of seconds as she made her way onto the train. He was scared that she wouldn't come to the window and wave goodbye. That that was it. That would be his last glance at Rachel Berry. His star, his co-captain, his ex-girlfriend, his friend.

But she made her way to her seat, which was right in front of where they were.

And the whole club waved. The girls were sobbing, the guys trying to stay strong and not let the tears escape.

She put her hand on the window, as if trying to touch them.

And his strong facade broke.

He didn't want her to go. He needed her.

He made a heart with his hands and placed it over his chest as the train started to move. He saw tears flow from her eyes when she saw it, and she clawed at the window as if trying to reach him.

It made him feel better knowing that she would miss him too.

Finn started chasing after the train, but he was too emotionally wrecked and tired to try.

Because she was gone. His hot little Jewish-American princess was gone.

And the only goodbye he got to give her was a heart placed over his chest.

And the tears finally escaped.

Fin.

A/N- When Puck shaped that heart over his chest when Rachel was on the train, I bawled. Puckleberry should have been endgame! This story could be taken either as Puckleberry relationship or friendship. To me it's both. My last tribute to two Jewish icons that have graduated and left Glee and McKinley High for good.

I know they'll be back for Season 4, but it'll never be the same again. This was the final goodbye. The end. I've been a wreck since the end of the episode and had a huge desire to write this.

So write it I did. I really hope you enjoyed it. Please update. It'll make me feel better! :(
