Hello! I'm having a wonderful time becoming an adult, thank you very much and I hope all of you beautiful people are well. Here's a little something for all of you ( It's in between a drabble and a oneshot. (A drabshot? a ondrabble?). Have a great week! Be safe :)

Again, this one is set in the (sadly AU) Golden Age of Camelot.

Checklist

Being a servant under King Arthur Pendragon's rule had its perks. My mum's eyes bugged out of her sockets when I told her about the pay. "thrice what I used to get when I was serving in the royal household!" she told me. I said I was certain it was thanks to Queen Guinevere's kindness and generosity that our needs were noticed at all (of course Merlin had some part in it too, and King Arthur was more than happy to oblige.) Everyday was basically a never-ending string of politeness and once or twice Queen Guinevere offered to mend my worn aprons- herself!- and the knights of the Round Table were always there to assist a servant whenever we were trying to carry a heavy load.

So when King Arthur sent for me and asked me to fetch some blankets and four times the usual amount of food he took with him whenever he went out, I set off immediately. When I returned two horses were already ready on the courtyard and King Arthur was standing beside Sir Percival's horse, looking as if he was discussing something serious.

I stood by his side and bowed my head, waiting until he was done. Of course I could not help but hear what he was saying.

" I trust you implicitly, Percival, and I know that you will take the greatest precautions..."

Sir Percival was pursing his lips when I blinked upwards. It was strange. "Of course, Arthur."

King Arthur kneaded the bridge of his nose before continuing. "Remember that he must eat everything- Guinevere and Gaius won't be there to make sure he does. Please keep him away from sharp objects and ravines and such. Have your eyes wide open while you're traveling because he's fallen into hunter's traps before..."

But I was sure Queen Guinevere had told me just the day before that prince Amhar would stay in Camelot! Could it be possible that the King had forgotten?

"My liege..." I said very softly.

He didn't hear me and continued on. "I don't care if he wants to stay up all nights and do some whoop-dee-do trick, he'll have a curfew if he needs to. Try to stop him from doing something ridiculous near a training ground and keep and eye on him wherever steep staircases are involved-I won't hear of him getting an arm broken again. Absolutely no alcohol for him... and for the gods' sake Percival if he ever gets near strong wine on a feast..."

"Don't worry Arthur, I'll take care of him. But I think that young handmaiden wants to tell you something?"

The King turned towards me, a flash of red and gold and deep blue and I could feel my cheeks flushing. "Um, your blankets and your supplies, my Lord." I stuttered.

He took them from me after thanking me and started placing everything atop Sir Percival's horse. "Here, more blankets in case he gets cold while camping out. And he will, trust me. Blueberries, as well. They are his favorite." he stepped back and clapped once. "Well, my friend, I think you're all set for your task. Godspeed."

I couldn't help it then. "My liege."

Again, he turned towards me and smiled. It was like being blinded by the sun. "What is it?...Helen, isn't it?"

"Yes, M' Lord. I couldn't help but overhear and, M'Lord I think you must be mistaken...I don't believe Prince Amhar will be traveling with Sir Percival to Mercia. Surely you must have forgotten?"

I dared to look upwards when I heard Sir Percival's hearty laugh. The High King was frowning.

"Whoever said anything about Amhar? No, no." he flashed a small at me. "I was talking about my trouble prone Court Sorcerer, Merlin."

Well, that's that. :)

You are all wonderful and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for those reviews I've been getting recently, I'm always touched and awed by them! I'd love to reply to each one of you individually ( and I will soon, I promise!) but there's been something a tiny bit confusing going around and I figured I could clear it up right now. Is the last chapter really a cliff-hanger? :o (that was unintentionally cruel!) I thought that everything wrapped up nicely with the second chapter of this collection but apparently not. Anyway, if there are any loose ends or things y'all would like to see feel free to mention it and I'll see what I can do. :) It was never my intention to leave you hanging, haha. Sorry?

Again, please take care all of you and God bless! Love, as always.
