A/N: I have no idea how old the person who invented the Sonic Screwdriver cocktail was, I just noticed she was from Omaha and this popped into my head. Since I'm leaving for the summer tomorrow I thought I'd give you one last parting gift and say thank you to everyone who reads this shit and thinks it's good. XD Also, I have no idea what these taste like, as I have not had the opportunity to try it yet, but the site said fizzy and orangey.

Also, this story operates on an assumption that Penny went home to visit family sometime during David Tennant's reign as the Doctor, so just...go with it. Lol.

Penny stood at the island in 4A mixing her boys drinks. The normal bartender at the Cheesecake Factory was sick and Penny needed the extra shift, so she was practicing. And it was Anything Can Happen Thursday so the boys opted to stay in and drink while watching a Sherlock series 2 marathon.

"Ok, boys, here we go," she sat the tray she 'borrowed' from work that day on the coffee table. "A Grasshopper for Raj. The only Sex on the Beach Howard's ever getting from anyone. Sheldon gets a virgin diet Cuba Libre," she sets a can of Diet Coke in front of him. "Leonard gets the Harvey Wallbanger, and I get the pretty Sonic Screwdriver!" she smiled as everyone looked at her. "I dunno why it's called Sonic, but it's great." The guys still stared at her as she sipped.

"What? Aren't you guys gonna try yours? I know I'm hot, but geez, get it together."

"Penny," Howard broke the silence. "Was that drink by any chance named after the Doctor's iconic device from Doctor Who?"

Penny looked confused. "Uh...I dunno? Maybe? My sister's friend Liz made it once and gave me the recipe. She said something about a tv show at the time, but I wasn't paying attention. I went home for my 21st birthday and she made it for me as my first legal drink." She took another sip. When they still stared at her she got a little uncomfortable.

Raj quickly drank his Grasshopper so he could talk. "Very good, Penny," he said in regards to the drink. "You basically just told us there was an alcoholic drink that goes with one of our favorite sci-fi television shows. That's awesome. Can you make me one?" At this, Howard and Leonard perked up.

"Yeah, make us some Sonic Screwdrivers!" Leonard grinned

Penny laughed, at ease again. "Alright, but after you drink what you have. Never let good alcohol go to waste." She looked at Sheldon drinking his Diet Coke. "I'll even make you one if you want, sweetie." He opened his mouth to protest - he doesn't drink alcohol - but Penny held up a hand. "You don't have to drink the whole thing if you don't like it. I'll drink the rest. I don't mind your germs." She winked and grinned.

"Oh, very well," Sheldon acquiesced. "I see you will not relent. And as it is a Doctor Who related beverage I would not be averse to trying it, I suppose. As the saying goes, 'bring it on.' It is Anything Can Happen Thursday, afterall." He pushed play on his Sherlock DVD while Penny made the Screwdrivers - one for everyone. He sipped it and found it surprisingly pleasant. Fizzy, citrusy, and best of all, blue. Like Ten's sonic. It filled him with a giddiness he normally associated with new comic books and season premiers.

"This is acceptable, but I will only have the one," he said at last. "I wouldn't want to lose my pants again."
