Title: Konoha's Beautiful lotus
Summary: Life as a ninja was supposed to be exciting, and fun, not terrifying and dangerous. I should have paid attention to the anime more... SI OC
Beta: Darkpetal16
1. Kyoko's hands twisted as she ran through the hand signs for the replacement jutsu. Sasuke appeared in the spot she had vacated, and she appeared three feet away from where he had been... and three feet away from the branch.
The man hadn't managed to mark Sasuke, but she managed to break her ribs, and her arm, defending him.
2. She hadn't meant to, facing off against the girl in the arena, but she had hurt from her fall, and Kabuto had only been able to heal her part way. She had to take off her weights, her arm couldn't handle it.
Her name was Kin, she remembered the name, and held it tight to her chest. She would never forget the shock that went through when she had slammed her bo so hard into the girl's face, she had crushed her head. She'd been disoriented by the bells, but she knew that wasn't really an excuse. They had all looked at her in shock, and in some cases, fear. Sasuke had looked at her, with an unreadable look, as she shook.
She swore then to never kill with brute strength again. She would only ever kill with a blade or poison. Never strength. Her strength was a gift, not a curse, and she'd be damned if she lost control over it.
3. When she learned the truth about Kabuto, Kyoko went into shock, unable to speak. After she snapped out of it, Koemi shaking her, she screamed, and yanked at her hair, ripping it out of her skull. It took Inoichi mind walking her to calm her down. It was then her family learn the truth about her.
Gai wanted to murder Kabuto for bringing up bad experiences, Lee was devastated his little sister had to go through all that, and Koemi worried that her pregnancy was hurting Kyoko.
Kyoko reassured them she was fine, that she was okay, just shook up. Lee wondered if Maya would have liked him, and Kyoko responded she would have loved him.
4. Temari didn't want to face Kyoko in the second round. Kyoko had scared the crap out of her in the first round, when she killed that Sound Ninja.
It wasn't because she killed someone, Temari had seen Gaara kill so many people, she had become rather immune to it. It wasn't even because it was an accident. Accidents like that happened a lot to ninjas.
It was because she cried. She regretted it, and actually asked for forgiveness from the girl's sensei.
She was compassionate, and hated to kill, it was obvious. Those were the worst kinds of people to face, because they never killed, but they always maimed.
5. Kyoko won her fight with Temari by breaking her fan. She had no other real choice, as Temari relied heavily on the fan, and Kyoko was unable to fight off the winds for too long. She broke her hand when she punched the fan, but she still managed to knock Temari out with her bo.
She didn't really understand why Temari was so thankful to her later, after the invasion. All she knew was that Temari agreed right away to be a prisoner of war, and kept thanking her for the fight. It was kind of confusing.
6. Kyoko hated herself for hating Neji for so long, that she begged for his forgiveness for an hour straight. She hated that she had hated him, mocking him and saying cruel things, when such bad had happened to him. He accepted it, and offered his own apologies. She accepted them, and the two ended up getting into a sparring match. Neji won, but Kyoko managed to break his arm, so it was a rather good match.
7. Kyoko refused to leave Kakashi's side the entire time he was in the hospital. When Sasuke ended up in the hospital, she left. The next day a huge clearing was made in a training ground. Lee found his sister sitting in the middle of it, her knuckles worked right down to the literal bone.
When they woke up, Kyoko sobbed the truth behind her anger into Kakashi's chest, apologizing for her anger. Kakashi just hugged her tightly.
8. "Why are you trying to stop me?" Sasuke asked, his back turned to her. "Why are you trying?"
"You're one of my boys." Kyoko answered, her shoulders stiff. "I need you in my life." Sasuke didn't answer for a minute.
"Your boys?"
"Shino, Naruto, Lee, you... You're my boys. I love you all... you're my brothers." Sasuke flinched, but turned around and walked over to her, hugging her. She hugged back, smiling, but a sharp pinch to her neck made her eyes roll right up. Sasuke laid her down, carefully, and studied her.
"I love you too," he whispered, pressing his lips to her forehead, before he left, leaving her behind. Just not in the way you do.
9. Haku was a good sparring partner when she needed to take her frustration out on someone. He could heal himself, and he wasn't afraid to give as good as he got. He was the next person to learn the truth. She never spoke about it to anyone, but he figured it out when he had to wake her from a nightmare about the accident.
She treated him like one of her boys after that, even calling him son once. He called her kaa-chan.
10. Koemi gave birth to two girls, and one boy. During the pregnancy, she nearly died from the bleed out.
Her youngest girl died an hour after birth.
11. Maito Akane and Maito Shin were well received by their large family. Anko was proud to be their godmother, and Ibiki, who had become a close friend, was proud to be godfather.
Neither asked Kakashi. He was already the pseudo godfather of Kyoko and Lee. And he was the kids uncle, so he was pretty content with that.
12. Over the three years Naruto was training, Kyoko got close with Neji, Shikamaru and even spoke to Gaara through Temari multiple times. She repaired her relationship with Ino, and Sakura who was training under Tsunade in healing, but had gotten the female Hokage to agree to train Kyoko in controlling her strength.
13. Kyoko was the fastest runner on Team Seven, so when Kankuro was dying in front of them, she was the one who ripped off her weights, all of them, picked him up and ran like hell itself was after her.
She barely made it. Lee found halfway there, and took Kankuro, leaving her panting for air. Kankuro was brain dead for a minute before Tsunade got up. When he did wake up, it was revealed that he wasn't able to see anymore.
She hadn't been fast enough.
14. Kyoko nearly died fighting Sasori. He managed to get her with his poison, but she managed to stab the container holding his heart before she collapsed. She fainted a second after, unable to even think.
She woke up in the hospital. Gai had carried her to Tsunade, the Gates wide open as he ran. Kyoko had chakra burns on her back, her legs and her arms from them.
But she was alive.
15. Neji yelled at her for ten minutes about being careless, before he crashed his lips to hers, begging for her to be more careful.
She wasn't sure who's more surprised, her, Tenten, or Lee.
16. Dating Neji is weird. She's way older in her mind, but they just clash so well. She's happy with her relationship with him, thankful her many crushes (Kabuto, Shikamaru and Kiba, which she refuses to talk about) were fleeting, because this, this she really enjoys.
17. Seeing Sasuke after so long makes her want to scream, to cry, to do... something. She shakes, as she faces him, Sai behind her. Sai, who she started calling one of her boys after finding his art book. Sai, who she thinks knows about her.
Then Kabuto remarks about her behavior, like a mother. And all the hate she has for him, how he hurt her, how her betrayed her, makes her snap, and she tries to kill him.
She breaks his neck, his arms and his ribs. He dislocates her arms and legs, and does something to her organs that makes her vomit uncontrollably. He doesn't kill her though. Instead, he leaves her there, while she struggles to put herself to rights. Yamato helps her, but can't fully heal her, and by the time things calm down... Sai is gone.
18. Sai does know about her, and it makes her want to murder Danzo. Thanks to him, Orochimaru, Kabuto, and Sasuke know, as does Naruto and Yamato. She'd not to upset, but she does hit Sai upside the head in annoyance. Then she acts like a mother, and everything is... alright. Not great, but it's okay.
19. She went all out during training and ended up in the hospital. Normally not big deal, but this time she learned some interesting things.
Tsunade was curious about her brother's inability to use chakra normally, so she took samples. Apparently there is a gene attached to her one of her X chromosomes, and one to Lee's. It inhibits Lee's chakra usage, and causes problems to Kyoko's control. It's hereditary, from their mother's family. Lee and Kyoko both can pass it on to their children.
Kyoko's pretty terrified about it. She doesn't want her kids to have their uncle's disability, nor does she want them to be like her. She really really doesn't.
She's also, though she would never say so, a little afraid that Neji will refuse to stay with her. After all, the Hyuga eyes are everything...
20. Kyoko learns a little while after her accident, that she has achieved her dream; she is the strongest ninja in the village. Even Tusnade would lose if she went all out. She's stronger than any ninja has been. Stronger, as in in brute strength.
That's the problem.
If she goes all out, she creates enough force with her punch, she could break the Hokage mountain in one punch. That's good, but at the same time, if she does so, she would shatter all of her bones from the force, and destroy her organs.
She's stronger than anyone, and unable to show it or she will die.
21. Kyoko is rather confused when a ninja in an orange mask tried to talk to her. She was defensive when a blonde appears... wearing an Akatsuki cloak. She slices the blonde's neck, after a long battle, finally recognizing him as she struggles to breath over his corpse.
He's Sasori's partner, and she just killed him. And he nearly killed her, one of his bombs breaking a rib, nearly hitting her it is, she faints quickly after the battle.
22. Koemi is a great ninja. She's a strong one, even with her leg busted, so when she is the one who insists on sneaking into Ame, because no one would expect the lame legged girl to actually be a ninja spy, no one really thinks it's a bad idea...
Until she doesn't come back.
23. Kyoko tells Neji she loves him when she wakes up from being dead. She tells him she loves him, and that she's sorry for lying to him, as she speaks. She tells the truth about her, and begs for him to still love her. He promises to always do.
She doesn't say that she had been in a zone with Maya, who is older, so much older. She's mute, but smiling, happy with a family of her own. Kyoko feels that she can really move on now, knowing her daughter is happy.
24. Gai is broken, as he cares for Shin and Akane. The two are strong kids, despite Shin's blindness and Akane's lack of a right arm. They hold each other up, and care for each other, as their father cries.
Anko is the one to slap him awake. She screams at him and forces him to realize that Koemi would want him to move on, to not be her, so trapped in the past that she would have killed herself if she hadn't met Kyoko when she did.
Gai feels better, as a battle draws near, but he wasn't what he once was. Kyoko felt a little of her die inside, when he stops yelling about how youth can overcome all. He never speaks about the power of youth again.
25. Facing off against Sasuke as he wears an Akatsuki cloak is one of the hardest things she has ever done. Trying to kill him is the hardest, but he throws her off him before she can slide her blade in between her ribs.
She's thrown over a cliff, only to be saved by Sai and Haku.
26. Amid the arisen dead, she faces against the one person she never wanted to face in battle. Koemi stood in front of her, eyes dark and her leg healed, spinning her staff. She fights hard, using all her strength, something Kyoko can never do, and never will, not to Koemi.
Gai takes over after she's thrown into a tree. The two face off, and Gai orders Kyoko to leave. He also extracts a promise.
"If I don't make it, take care of Akane and Shin. Teach them to be as great of a ninja as you and Lee are."
27. She faced off against Madara in a rather odd way. He tracked her down, and said, as she wondered how she could get away from Madara himself,
"I wasn't sure when you'd appear. Or where."
"...What?"
"About twenty or so years ago, I used a forbidden jutsu to bring someone who knew about the future here," Madara said, as he studied the tall girl. "The catch was that I had no idea where or when you'd appear."
"How do you know..."
"Kabuto is very good at his job." Madara walked around her in a circle, a small smirk on his face. "I could send you back, to your daughter. I could fix everything for you. Just tell me how to win."
"If you'd asked me when I was ten or whatever, I would have said yes. But now? Fuck you."
"Pity, I guess we have to do this the hard way."
"Well, good luck with that. I know shit about the future. Maya was the one who knew-" it hit her then, the truth. Maya had been the target of the jutsu...
She had jumped in front of it, saving her daughter twice over. "Well... you really suck at aiming. You got the dud, instead of the true target." Madara nearly killed her then, but she was saved, by a familiar cloaked man. Kabuto looked at her, and then turned away. Hate filled Kyoko's heart, seeing him, but she mimicked him, and turned away.
He saved her life, she'd let it go.
28. Haku died in her arms. He died in her arms after taking Neji's place as he was stabbed with tentacles. She screamed in anger and fear, as Neji thanked Haku, over and over and over again. He was alive, because Haku wanted his kaa-chan to be happy.
29. Sasuke deserved the slap she gave him, after he claimed to want to be Hokage. No one can say he didn't.
30. She buried Gai's ashes next to Koemi's grave marker. Lee planted lotuses on the grave. Neither ever went back after that.
They didn't need to, because Lee saw Gai everytime he looked in a mirror, and Koemi every time he used on of her taijutsu moves. Kyoko saw Koemi every time she used her bo, or messed with her scroll. She saw Gai in her clothes, and in her mannerisms.
31. "You love her." Sasuke didn't even flinch.
"More than anything." he responded. He turned to face Neji. "But she loves you more then anything in the world."
"...I plan on marrying her one day."
"I know. And she'll say yes. Just know, I will always be there. I will kill you if you hurt her."
32. Kyoko and Neji broke up twice, only to get back together when they were eighteen. Neji proposed and Kyoko accepted. They married with Naruto, the new Hokage, as the officant. Lee was Neji's best man, and Sasuke was Kyoko's.
Kyoko gave birth to their first son, named Hizashi ten months later. He possessed the Hyuuga eyes, much to Kyoko's relief.
33. Tenten and Lee got married a month after Hizashi was born. Tenten was two months pregnant at the time. It was a girl, and the two planned to name her Koemi.
34. "Do you want a girl?" Neji asked his wife after the birth of his second son, Gai.
"No. I'm too scared to have one. I'll see her as Maya's replacement or wonder why she isn't like Maya. Boy's are safer."
35. The last pregnancy was triplets. As soon as that was found out, Kyoko at age 25, retired from active ninja duty and became a member of T&I, headed by Nara-Yamanaka Ino. She passed on her scroll of things to Maito Akane, who swore to use it well.
Hyuuga Haku, Shinya and Raiden were born well. Haku was born with the Hyuuga eyes, like his older brothers, as was Raiden. Shinya was born with Kyoko's brown eyes.
He was pronounced like his maternal uncle a month after he was born. Kyoko cried her eyes out, as did Lee. Neji just held his wife tightly.
36. Sasuke smiled at his godson, Shinya, named in honor of him. He held the child in his arms lightly. He had big brown eyes, black hair and pale skin. He could almost pretend...
He shook himself off, as Naruto laughed at his own godson, Raiden. It wasn't the time for wondering about what ifs. Kyoko had never seen him like that...
But it didn't hurt to pretend.
37. Shin died of heart complications that had been present since birth when he was fifteen. He was buried next to his parent's graves.
38. Neji didn't come home from a mission when the triplets were thirteen. His cousin, Hanabi, was sent out to look for him. She came back with his headband.
Kyoko never took it off, always wearing it around her neck.
39. Neji had been killed by a group calling themselves the true Akatsuki. They were mean, tough, and had managed to reseal the Ten-Tails into one of their own. He was too powerful.
Their base was under a mountain, one old and collapsable.
Kyoko kissed Hizashi, an ANBU healer, goodbye, along with Gai, a chunnin teacher. Haku, Shinya and Raiden were given hugs, as they stood with their sensei, Tenten.
Kyoko took off her weights for the last time at age 39. She closed her eyes, took a breath, and punched the mountain with all of her strength.
40. Kyoko's ashes were buried by Gai, Koemi's and Shin's. A lotus was planted on her grave, and grew strong. Many bo masters tried to master her bojutsu art, and only some succeeded.
She died being the strongest ninja in the world, and showing everyone that she had made it.
I am officially ending this story, as of right now. i honestly can't think of anyway to continue it, and I have lost all interest in Kyoko's story. Though Koemi may appear in other stories...
This is how I would have ended Kyoko's story if I had continued with her journey. She would have achieved it all, her secret would have leeked, and she would have been happy in the end.
And she would have proven her strength.
If anyone wants to use Kyoko, or perhaps write their own conclusion of her story, go ahead. I would like to read it though, so please comment! And if you liked Koemi, watch me. I don't think I'm done with her, just yet. I have a few more ideas for her.
Thank you all, and I'm glad you loved this story.
Bye!
