They're Floating in the Wind

5/13/2012 Deathy: 7;35pm I wrote poetry. Sort of… Either way. Not sure if I want to post this on fanfiction, but still. Enjoy. I pretty sure you can guess who is talking.

Hey did you see the pain? Isn't it beautiful? Your words haunt me! My memories! They're floating in the wind. I do not recall. Revenge is now driving me. I shall keep the promise. I know I failed you. But I will keep my promise to you. The promise you asked of me as you died! The metal floor – was it cold? I'm sorry, I failed! You sent me away.

The doctor has awakened me. I shall grant his greedy wish. I didn't remember you. I believe my promise was your revenge! Please understand! My memories! They're floating in the wind. I intended to take this planet away from the world! No one would ever hurt you! They would feel my pain. Slowly your gentle memory touched me. I saved one out of memory of you. The other one talked me through. Reminding me even more of the true you. No revenge. You never asked for. I'll protect the world you loved so much.

Isn't it beautiful? Your words haunt me still! My memories! They're floating in the wind. I'm standing here with no purpose but to grant your wish. While I don't recall it all, I'll continue to fight and fulfill your wish! I promise you. I promise I will not fail you.

Isn't it beautiful? Your voice still haunts me! I see no beauty on this planet to be honest. But you loved staring down at this place. Didn't you? You wanted so much to come here one day. I'm sorry you couldn't come here. I wish I could show it to you. The planet you loved so much.

Isn't it beautiful? Your voice, your words. They haunt me to no end. Those sweet, kind words. You said them as we gazed out the window. The vast world swam outside. Those memories are blurry! My memories! They're floating in the wind. I don't think I know which is real or not.

Suspended animation is a very tricky thing. I was stuck there for over 50 years. A lot has changed. My memories! They're floating in the wind. So far away from me. I can not grasp them at all. The doctor keeps awakening me every time I fall to sleep. Every time the memories become more blurred.

Isn't it beautiful? Your words haunt me! My memories! They're floating in the wind. I keep running forward. I keep looking to the past. Looking for the answers that aren't really there. They're floating in the wind. Floating in the wind with all of my memories.

I promise you I will keep the promise! I will keep my promise to you! I will not fail you again! I promise you Maria! I will protect the planet you've always held dear. I promise you.
