Alois Trancy stared over Ciel Phantomhive's shoulder in awe, watching as each line of soft graphite took form on the paper. He knew that the bluenette was aware of his presence, but took no measures to thwart or even acknowledge it for that matter, so the blonde remained planted firmly in place, a slight smile of admiration tugging at his lips.
Who would've known that Ciel would be so good at drawing? The thirteen-year-old was so remarkable as it was already. Alois stole a glance at his own artwork, a failed work that would only fit in the category of 'blob'. But he didn't even care that he was such a miserable artist. He was too entranced by his small friend's picture, watching as the shapes became human. The taller, messy-haired boy's cheeks dusted with blush as it dawned on him that he was the subject of said boy's art assignment. How flattering. Except for the fact that he was being portrayed as much more beautiful that he actually was.
"Ciel?"
"Hm", the boy replied, not even bothering to look up from the page.
"Why are you drawing me so beautifully?"
The dark-haired boy swiveled in his seat to face his senior, his expression ever so slightly puzzled, although one who didn't know the Phantomhive boy like the back of their hand wouldn't have seen it. Alois, however, has this liberty.
"I was unaware that it was any more beautiful than is in reality."
Alois held back a scoff. Ciel was such a grammar Nazi-always had to sound like some prick from the eighteenth century. The towheaded boy did, however take this reply as a bit of a compliment, though the act was more underlying that obvious. His best friend was never really straightforward with things. He liked to be subtle. So was this a subtle way of calling Alois… beautiful?
As Ciel turned back to his art, his companion's arms wrapped around his neck, Alois's face burying into the crook of said boy's shoulder.
The bluenette simply continued, unhindered by such contact, although feeling a tad bit violated. He felt a vibration into his neck, Alois mumbling something.
"It would be useful if you pulled your face away from my collar in order to speak, would it not?"
The blonde complied, a soft smile becoming visible as he showed himself. "You're beautiful, Ciel."
He jumped, appearing disgusted but ruining the façade with the deep blush that was tainting his face. "Don't say such embarrassing things!"
His friend giggled, leaning into his ear. "Oh, but you are. You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." The slender boy neared his ear even more, to where his lips lightly brushed the cartilage. "And I love you."
Ciel stole a quick kiss to Alois's cheek before hitting him hard in the thigh. "Don't say things like that!" But as the platinum-haired boy watched his love continue his drawing, he grinned. Scratched out heatedly in the corner of the page were the words, 'I love you, too.'
A/N Do you like it, do you? :D 'Cause I'm not sure I do. It's definitely fluffy, I'll give it that. But.. Maybe too short.
Review, or Ciel's going to reject Alois. _"
