So, there's this blog on tumblr that's too adorable and I just had to write a fanfiction for it. If you're interested, the blog is askbabynatural(dot)tumblr(dot)com. This particular story is based off two different posts that I seemed to have lost links too But if you go through the most recent posts then you'll probably find what inspired this story. xD
Enjoy~
Castiel looked up from his drawing to find Michael, one of his older brothers, with Adam sitting atop his shoulders. The tiny Archangel was holding onto Adam's tiny legs as he slowly flew around the room. The small boy was grinning and laughing loudly as they moved.
It wasn't until the paper on the table moved slightly that Castiel realized that his own wings were flapping. Although Castiel wasn't a very good flyer, he knew it was only because he was still so small and young. All of his brothers told him that he just needed to grow a little more and practice because practice made perfect.
And there was no time like the present to practice.
Castiel set down the crayon he'd been using to color the bumblebee and moved to an open area in the play room. It was warm outside, so most of the other kids were playing in the garden. The only ones left in the room were Castiel, Michael, little Adam, and Adam's oldest brother, Dean.
The eldest Winchester boy had been playing in his cardboard Impala but stopped 'driving' when he noticed what Castiel was doing. He watched as his best angel friend started to flap his small wings a little and smiled when he was lifted a few inches off the ground.
By now, Michael and Adam had seen what Castiel was attempting to do and had stopped. Michael also smiled when Castiel rose a few more inches before his wings gave out and he fell to the ground.
Although he wasn't hurt, the other children hurried over to him. Dean was the first to get there and hurriedly picked his friend off the ground. "Are you okay, Cas?" he asked once the little angel was standing on his own two feet.
"Cas okay?" Adam asked as he was lowered to the ground carefully.
"I'm fine, Adam," he replied and laughed lightly when the smallest Winchester hugged him tightly.
"I asked first," Dean said quietly, crossing his arms over his chest in a pout which wasn't noticed by Castiel.
The angel just hugged Adam back before turning to his older brother. "That was really good, Castiel," Michael praised and smiled when his young brother beamed happily. "Want some help?"
"Sure!" he said brightly and listened intently as Michael explained the best ways to lift off. Adam and Dean took a seat a little ways off, not wanting to be crushed in case Castiel fell again.
When Bobby finally came in to check on them, Castiel was able to hover above the ground for a few seconds before successfully landing on his feet. "Great," the old hunter mumbled to himself, "Looks like we got 'nother flyer…"
