Natalie's mind raced as she waited to see Six. But was Dr Grey telling the truth?

Also, what state must Six be in? She had been their prisoner for almost a month!

"Nat, you gotta see this," said Leoben as he and Ellen approached her with the ipadd they had been staring at earlier. Boomer frowned and also walked up to them.

Natalie watched the video from when Six, D'anna and Boomer had met the two members of the Xavier on Hera's planet.

Her eyes narrowed as she heard the female member of the Thirteenth Tribe speak briefly.

"That is Dr Grey," said Leoben.

"So?" asked an irritated Boomer.

"It would be best if you don't speak, the next time Dr Grey is online," said Natalie as she kept watching the video.

Boomer stared at her. "And what makes you think I will keep silent?"

"Because, you sure as heck don't want her remembering what you said that day," said Natalie as she looked up at the Number Eight. Boomer went pale, clearly recalling that she had wanted to seize the two crew members of the Xavier by force the moment they stepped out of the ancient temple.

"Miss Faust, they are hailing us," warned Alice at the communications centre.

Natalie returned the ipadd to Leoben and walked back to the front of the bridge. "Accept the hail."

"This is Captain Logan speaking, Six is with us. I'll let her speak first."

A few moments passed before Natalie heard a voice that she had feared lost forever.

"Natalie?"

She let the relief show in her voice. "Six, it is good to hear your voice. Are you alright?" Natalie waited for her sister to respond with a coded message that was only known to Number Six models.

"Things could be worse; however, I am more concerned about you." Six's rely actually meant that she was safe but she was asking if Natalie was under duress.

Now, that made her raise an eyebrow. "Things could be worse as well…" meaning they were safe for now "but, your health is a major priority for me." That was asking if she had been tortured.

"Don't be worried about my health." Meaning, that she had not been hurt while in custody of the thirteenth tribe. That made Natalie relax a bit. "But now, I want to know what the frak Cavil did to Aldira and why you are on the run?"

Now, that was the Six Natalie recognized. She looked at Ellen, Leoben and Boomer and they seemed apprehensive.

Well, here goes nothing.

###

Logan watched Six carefully as she listened to Natalie brief her on the start of the cylon civil war. The Number Six model was horrified when she heard her fellow cylon calmly state that she had removed the telencephalic implants from the centurions skulls.

He hoped Sharon was paying attention; she had was still in her quarters with her daughter. However, Q had connected her view-screen to the bridge so that she could also observe and comment as needed.

"They freed the centurions captain." Said Sharon into his ear. "This puts a new wrench into this mission."

Logan clamped down on his frustration. "Understood," he whispered as he kept watching Six.

There was a moment of silence after the narrative ended and Six looked like she was trying to control herself.

"Six, you there?" asked a worried Natalie.

"Where else would I frakking be?" finally hissed the Six. "So, let me get this straight. One, you freed the centurions and the raptors, two; you tried to steal a resurrection ship and frakking failed and three, in order to get away….you blew up the last two resurrection ships we had! Does that pretty much sum up the disastrous report you just delivered?!"

To say Six was livid was the understatement of the year. Logan was beginning to think, Six was the most senior member of the Number Six models.

"They also have three teams missing on the planet," said Laura in a solemn tone that had everyone looking at her. "I think that right now would be the most pressing matter but hey, I don't run your shit."

Six stared at her. Though Logan was a bit annoyed at the interruption, he was grateful for it. A fourteen-year-old kid just told a seasoned secret agent to get her priorities in order.

"Whoever just spoke is right," added Natalie. "I was just about to go down and head a fourth team to search for them. I would appreciate it if the Xavier and the colonials would declare a truce so that I rescue my people."

Logan and Jean shared a grim look. He was certain that her people were dead.

"I'll do you one better," said Logan. "Why don't we join the search under this truce?"

Kara hissed and Anders looked very unhappy. Six stared at them for a moment.

"Are their superiors going to accept that?"

"There is no harm in asking," said Dr Grey.

###

Rogers tried not to fidget as he listened to Logan outline to the XO and the CAG the terms of the temporary truce. He already knew his XO's reaction because Saul Tigh had turned several shades of red when he first heard the word 'truce'.

To his amazement, the senior officer was not the first to erupt. Instead; the CAG went ballistic.

"They want a frakking truce!? Over my dead body!"

Helo covered his eyes as if exhausted while Tyrol listened with a grim expression on his face.

"The cylons are the perpetuators of the worse genocide in our history Logan!" Gone was the honorific title of captain. "We may be less than 45,000 colonials but we will be dead before we work with them!"

Rogers stared at Saul Tigh who also had a stunned expression on his face. They all waited to see how Logan would react.

"Fine, then we'll work with them," said Dr Grey in a calm voice.

"Excuse me!?" asked a flabbergasted Lee Adama.

"Three of their teams entered into an underground complex and none have reported back. It is quite possible that they are all dead."

"Less cylons sounds like a win-win situation for me," added Saul Tigh to the conversation. Rogers winced at the casual tone in the XO's voice.

"That may be so," continued Logan in a calm tone "but from what Ensign Rogers has forseen, whatever is gunning for them will also be coming for us."

This was met by solemn silence.

"I for one, will not wait for Hell to come for mine, I intend to go down to the planet and take a look. I'm doing this with or without you." Said Logan in the same relaxed tone.

Rogers shared a resigned look with Helo. It was apparent that the CAG had still not learnt that no-one bullied the Wolverine.

"Now, steady on." Said Saul in a jovial tone. "While, I would like nothing more than to kill every cylon that exists." Roger's saw Helo's face go dark.

"…I do see Captain Logan's point. At least, let's hear them out, on the planet's surface and then we can decide. What say you Lee?"

Roger's eyes widened. Since when had Saul Tigh become the voice of reason? Then his eyes narrowed or was the XO up to something else?

Lee's voice was belligerent. "I do this under duress."

"Duly noted." Said Logan in a carefree tone but Rogers knew the former x-man was being serious.

"Good, now how exactly are we doing this?" asked Saul Tigh.

"I have a few suggestions…" said Logan.

###

Rogers felt his alarm build up as the captain of the Xavier outlined his plan.

Captain Logan was going to get Q Junior to beam over to their ship so that he would emerge in full Starfleet tactical gear beside the colonials. This would definitely send a message to the cylons that the Xavier was working closely with the colonials.

The Xavier would send down a shuttle as well which would have the captain; Dr Grey, Starbucks, Anders, Six and Oma.

Roger's eyes widened. Oma was to be the pilot but he didn't want her anywhere near the cylon facility. That was where she was supposed to die for fraks sake!

He wanted to interrupt but discipline kept his tongue still. He looked at Helo who also appeared apprehensive, the XO listened with a thoughtful expression on his face.

"One other thing, Xavier's scans have not been able to penetrate the electromagnetic field around this planet. Q Junior has done all he can but we cannot scan the surface from this distance."

"Just like Hera's planet," said the CAG in a grim tone. "Which means, who ever built the facility on that planet also did so on this one."

Saul Tigh sighed impatiently. "Pondering on that is not going to help us right now. We need to be on the ground before the cylons get trigger happy."

"I agree. However, Q Junior has a suggestion on how to have eyes on us while we are on the surface. Q? You're up."

Tyrol sat forward with an intense expression.

O Junior's earnest voice was soon heard. "All we need is to get one of the raptors to hover just at the edge of the upper atmosphere directly below the Xavier and I will place a device on the hull of the raptor that will be connected to the boosted transmitters on the Starfleet shuttle. If there is any danger and we need to bug out urgently; I can use the transporter on the shuttle to transport anyone wearing the specialized armour."

Tyrol nodded with an impressed look on his face.

"Sounds reasonable," said Saul Tigh even though he seemed a bit pensive. He was probably worried about using the transporter.

"So, we're all in agreement?" asked Captain Logan. Rogers opened his mouth to speak but a warning look from Helo shut him up.

"Aye," said the CAG.

"Aye," added XO Saul Tigh.

"I'll inform the cylons that we're on our way. See you all on the surface in twenty-five minutes. Logan out."

Once the call ended, Rogers could not keep silent. He turned to face the XO.

"Sir, I think we're making a mistake!" Helo shook his head in dismay when the atmosphere went tense.

Saul went still then fixed his single eye coldly on the Ensign. "What are you talking about?"

Rogers chose his words with care. "With all due respect sir, I saw your body and the corpses of several of people and even that of….Ensign Kadretti. We could be triggering the vision by going down there!"

Saul glared at him for a long moment, and Rogers felt he was about to get his arse handed to him. Then to his surprise; the XO's face softened.

"Yes Ensign. I have not forgotten the vision and I'm sure that neither has Captain Helo or Starbuck or Anders or Chief Tyrol or the CAG or even Ensign Kadretti." The way he placed emphasis on the last name made Rogers realize that the XO saw right through him.

"But we are all soldiers, whether of the Twelve Colonies or from Starfleet. We cannot walk away from this one, and you would be doing Ensign Kadretti a disservice by trying to protect her."

Rogers dropped his eyes in shame but the XO was not done.

"Considering the little we have learnt about Starfleet, they also keep to their oaths to serve and protect…just like we did. This is not Ensign Kadretti's first mission, let's just pray it's not our last. Do you understand?"

Rogers forced himself to look up. "Yes sir, I do."

The XO studied him for a moment; then nodded. "Good, now once Q Junior beams over, get us down to the surface."

###

Natalie resisted the urge to pace. More than fifteen minutes had passed since she was told to wait by Captain Logan while he discussed the truce with the colonials.

It's not going to work. Any moment now, they will start shooting at us.

"This is pointless!" Nat was almost grateful for the interruption to her thoughts. The only problem was that it came from a certain annoying Number 8.

"The colonials and the Xavier could be planning on boarding the basestar and we're just here waiting?!" Some of the cylons in the basestar began to murmur in worried voices.

"Waiting for now is our only option," said Ellen. Nat looked at her. "Look, no one is firing yet, so the wise thing to do would be to wait." She looked at Natalie for support.

"She's right," said Natalie even though the last thing she wanted to do was wait around until Cavil and his basestars found them.

"We wait."

"The Xavier is hailing us!" said an excited Alice.

Nat kept her voice calm as she nodded at the cylon to patch them through.

"This is Captain Logan of the Xavier. The colonial senior officers are on board with the truce."

Part of Natalie was relieved while the other half was suspicious.

"They agreed that quickly?"

"It wasn't easy but none of us want to wait for Cavil and his basestars to show up while we're squabbling over who goes into the complex. Are you in for this joint operation?"

Nat took a deep breath and looked at her scared fellow cylon brothers and sisters. Even Boomer seemed apprehensive.

"We're in."

###

"You're not in."

Laura counted to five before trying to speak in a level tone. The both of them were walking towards the shuttle cargo bay. Both of them were clad in the modified dark grey X-men suits.

"Why the hell not?"

Logan gave her a patient look. "We need Q Junior to fly down with the colonials so as to keep them honest while Oma is our shuttle pilot down to the surface. Jean, Starbuck, Six, Anders and I have to go down in order to meet with the cylons before any bullets start flying.

While, you are our backup on the Xavier and even though I trust Sharon the most; she cannot be left in charge of the Xavier."

"Hey, Xavier is no pushover," Laura looked at the ceiling. "Isn't that right bud?"

"Absolutely." Replied Xavier in a calm tone.

Logan chuckled. "Aye, Xavier is pretty smart but I need you watching his and our six."

Laura narrowed her eyes. "You sure you're not just doing this because I'm the youngest crew member?"

"Hera is the youngest crew-member; you're the 2nd youngest and yeah that is another reason why I'm doing it."

Laura glared at him; then sighed in the next moment. "Fineeee. I'll stay."

Logan grinned. "Thank you for being so considerate."

The teenager raised a hand. "However, if I get even a sniff of trouble; I will come down there asap."

Her father gave her an exasperated look. "We will be fine, just keep an eye on the raptor that is staying just above the atmosphere."

Laura nodded, a thoughtful expression on her face. Q Junior had figured out at the last moment on how to get a signal past the strong magnetic atmospheric field around the planet.

He had created a transmitter which he attached to the inner hull of one of the raptors. That colonial craft had to stay directly below the Xavier in order to have a link to the shuttle Oma would be flying down.

Q had also synthesized new com-badges which could be triggered as an emergency beam back to the Xavier but for it to work, one had to be within three hundred feet of the grounded Starfleet shuttle.

But there were unanswered questions.

Would it work underground and just how deep down did the away team have to go?

"You got the new com-badge pops?" asked Laura in a worried tone that Logan was not used to hearing from her.

"Right here?"

Laura looked at him. "Oma is not going underground." It was not a question.

Logan smiled at the fierce thirteen-year-old. "No, she isn't. I intend to get her to man the shuttle until I get back from the underground facility."

"Hmmm," said Laura reluctantly. "Be careful old man, just because you got adamantium bones does not make you indestructible."

"Agreed,"

"And watch out for the cylons and Six, they could stab you all in the back."

Logan seemed to find that amusing. "You don't think much of me, do you?"

"Nah, you're just more ancient than me and thus need more care," said Laura with a cheeky grin.

Logan couldn't help but laugh as they reached the shuttle cargo bay.

###

"Come here you little angel!" said Kara as she hugged a giggling Hera. "Ooh you're getting big!" She rubbed the baby's nose as the infant squealed happily.

"Now, you take care of your mummy, alright? And I'll be back with Uncle Anders very soon." Kara handled the adorable child back to her mum who was trying to keep on a brave face.

Hera began to touch her mum's face as if aware that she was sad.

"You gotta be careful out there," said Sharon as she kept her gaze on Six who was watching them. They were currently in the cargo bay, waiting for Captain Logan before flying down to the planet.

Kara noticed who Sharon was looking at. "I'm not the one you should be worried about."

"Is Helo going into the complex?" asked Sharon in a worried low voice.

Kara shrugged. "I don't know for sure, however I'll keep an eye on him."

Sharon gave her a scared look. "Your body was in that pile Kara."

The female colonial pilot winced. "Please, don't remind me."

Sharon cast her eyes down. "I'm sorry, I just feel that we're walking into a very obvious trap."

"Believe me, I know the feeling. The only thing that makes me feel better is that Logan and Dr Grey are accompanying us this time. I think we're in safe hands."

The door slid open and Logan and Laura walked in.

"Is everyone ready?"

He was met by a chorus of 'yes sirs' and one 'yes captain' from Caprica Six.

Logan turned to his daughter. "Laura, you have the conn," then he looked at Sharon. "Keep an eye on Baltar, please do so from the bridge and Xavier…" he looked at the ceiling.

"Watch our collective six."

"Aye, aye captain and God speed."

Kara's eyes widened at the last words, she saw Six stare at the ceiling in shock.

That was the first time she had ever heard the AI say that. Kara looked at the others and the Xavier crew didn't seem bothered but Anders looked pale while Sharon was speechless.

"All aboard," said a calm Logan.

###

Natalie hugged her arms as she looked up to the reddish-orange sky, waiting for the two colonial raptors and one Xavier 'shuttle'. It was a bit chilly and there were plains of dark red short shrubs as far as the eye could see. She had no idea what time it was on this planet; but she suspected it was early evening or late afternoon.

Who gave a frak about it anyway.

Her eyes went back again to the large metal and stone doors of twenty feet by twenty feet building above ground. The huge thick doors had been wedged open by centurions. Three search teams had gone through those doors and her's would have been the fourth if not for the Xavier and the colonials arriving. At the moment; her heavy raider was packed to the side about eighty feet from the doors. She didn't want it to be perceived as a threat. Nat had ordered Leoben to stay on the Aldira while she, Boomer and Ellen went to the surface. She had warned Ellen and Boomer to stay in the raider while she negotiated a deal with the new arrivals.

It was while waiting on the ground that she also noticed the evenly spaced ten-metre tall, thick metal poles around the strange building. None of their devices could ascertain as to the function of the thick metal poles. The poles were spread every six feet. These poles were sixty feet away from the entrance. Now, she wondered what the poles were used for?

"Colonial craft and Thirteenth Tribe craft inbound," said Red One who was still looking up to the skies.

Natalie tore her gaze away.

"And now it begins. Tell your brethren to appear non-threatening."

Red One didn't reply for a while. "They know what to do but I don't think working with the humans is wise."

Natalie bit back a retort. "We don't really have a choice Red One."

"There is always a choice Nat."

Nat gave him a startled look but had no time to talk because two raptor ships were descending fast. She kept her face calm while her insides twisted in turmoil. She wondered who would be the first to shoot.

The two ships dropped suddenly and landed a bit roughly. This was a usual colonial tactic. In order to quickly get in and out of hostile area; the human pilots went down at almost full speed and then slammed the brakes at the last moment. This was all done in order to reduce the risk of being shot down by the cylon raiders. That hadn't always worked, sometimes the braking was done too late and the raptor crashed with all on board or at other times the cylon's raiders' aim was right on target.

Nat's mind almost stopped working when the ship of the Thirteenth colony appeared. It came down fast and smoothly and landed so cleanly that Nat was convinced that a Hybrid or a centurion must be piloting.

A few minutes passed before the side doors of the three small crafts opened.

Natalie kept her back straight while hoping that the humans didn't hear her rapidly beating heart.

The raptors to the farthest left opened and several colonial marines poured out with Commander Lee Adama in the lead. Nat's eyes narrowed when she saw the dark grey gear they wore. This was what the infiltrators of the basestar had worn. She sighed with relief when she realized none of the colonials were carrying the powerful laser rifle that one of the younger attackers had in that raid.

The second raptor had the side door open and out stepped a young male teenager. She felt chills down her back as she recognized him. It was the boy who had used headshots to mow down centurions.

The male cylon child that D'anna had been trying to capture.

Behind him was the XO Saul Tigh and another group of marines.

Nat clenched her fist in anger. They were using a child of the Thirteenth Tribe as a cylon shield.

How despicable.

Then the doors of the strange shuttle opened and out stepped the man with the metal claws. Thankfully; they were hidden at the moment. She wondered if it was a special extension of her suit and began to ponder how she could steal such a suit.

Nat's breath caught in her throat. She had watched the video of him slicing and dicing his way through cylons and centurions, she suspected this was Captain Logan.

What kind of a man was this that would lead from the front?

He was also clad in the dark grey modified suit that all the colonials worse. Behind him was a red-haired woman in the same outfit; she moved confidently as if she landed on strange planets with hidden bases all the time.

Taking up the rear was Six who had a grim Starbuck and Anders behind them and last but certainly not least, was a dark-skinned attractive girl with a shock of brilliant short white hair. She had a grim expression on her face. One of the blond male colonials broke off from Saul Tigh's group to walk towards the white-haired girl.

Nat plastered a smile on her face and stepped forward at a slow pace, Red One followed one step behind her.

She stopped walking when at least six feet from the three groups.

"Welcome to the planet." Nat was well aware of the hostile looks she was getting from the colonials.

"Thanks for meeting with us halfway," said the man with the hidden claws. "I am Captain Logan of the Xavier and this is Dr Grey."

Nat quickly studied the red head. So, this was the woman the Hybrid had warned her of. Up close, she didn't seem impressive. She looked weak.

"Okay, enough with the chit chat." Said XO Saul Tigh as he stepped away from his group. Nat noted how the silent young male cylon child fell in step with him. Saul paid the teenager no mind and Nat began to have a sinking suspicion that the male cylon child was a slave.

Sudden dark feminine laughter made her pause.

You have no idea, do you?

The amused entity faded away leaving Nat very unsettled and wondering if she had lost her mind. She quickly looked at the others in front of her and it appeared that none of them had heard the dark voice.

"What have you found in the complex?" asked Lee Adama in a neutral voice.

Nat stared at him. "None of the three teams have reported back." She saw his face go cold and knew he didn't believe her.

"Does anyone know why?" asked Dr Grey.

"We were hoping you could tell us," said Boomer.

Nat closed her eyes briefly and looked to her right to glare at the Number Eight, then her eyes widened in fury. Because right beside her was Ellen Tigh. This had not been part of the plan!

Saul Tigh turned to follow the voice. "What the frak do you…?" His voice trailed off when he saw his supposedly dead wife. Nat turned quickly and noticed the looks of shock on everyone's face.

With her heart thundering in her chest, she tried to salvage the situation.

"I can explain…"

Saul Tigh turned his head to face her, his eyes were filled with horrified rage and Nat knew he was going to start shooting.

And then one of the colonial marines noticed something her. "What the frak…?"

Against her better judgment Nat also looked and that was when she noticed a small floating grey mass like a miniature storm cloud. It was about thirty feet away from the open metal doors of the complex. That had not been there earlier.

"Everyone get back!" yelled Dr Grey in a tone laden with panic, then everything went to Hades.

###

Rogers had been the second to the last out of the raptor. He wanted to make sure Oma was okay. He ignored the large raider that was packed to the side with the cylons and centurions beside it and made a beeline for the female Starfleet ensign.

"Oma!"

She had a grim expression which turned to a wan smile when she saw him

"You alright Rogers?"

No, I'm not. I don't want you hurt dammit! "Yeah, I'm good. Just wondering what…"

Then they both heard Saul Tigh curse and looked forward in time to see a small grey storm cloud form close to the open metal doors.

"What is that thing?" began Oma but before Rogers could speak they heard Dr Grey shout a warning. The anomaly suddenly expanded to a large dark grey mass and thick whitish lightening tentacles lashed out. Oma started running towards the vulnerable group as Rogers yelled to her to stop as he ran after her.

Rogers saw one lightening tentacle lash out, brush by Anders who fell as if shocked senseless but the tentacle's prey was the Captain of the Xavier. It grabbed Logan, slammed him twice so hard on the ground that the rock cracked and flung him towards the Starfleet shuttle. Oma reached out a hand and used her magnetism ability to grab Logan's still adamantium infused body before dropping him gently to the ground as she continued running.

Two more lightening tentacles tried to wrap around the body of Dr Grey, however the psychic was glowing red as she barely held them at bay. Some of the colonials had dropped back at orders from the CAG and the XO, then one tentacle batted the gold centurion aside before it grabbed Nat and pulled the screaming Number Six cylon towards the grey singularity. Caprica Six ran forward and grabbed her sister's outstretched hands and tried to pull her to safety. Rogers was amazed to see Kara was also beside Six and both tried to save the female cylon but another tentacle lashed out and grabbed both Caprica and Kara. The three shrieking women disappeared into the anomaly.

"NO!" screamed Jean as she tried to hold the tentacles at bay, they were almost around her. Then Oma was beside her and she touched the lightening tentacles, for a brief moment they seemed to retract as if being repelled by Oma's magnetism, then the unthinkable happened. The two tentacles grabbed Oma and drew her towards the anomaly.

Rogers heard himself screaming as he tried to reach out for her. He almost welcomed the tentacle reaching out for him before he felt himself swept off his feet. He barely registered Q Junior body checking him but before he could yell at Q, the hologram was sprinting for the anomaly with a determined look on his face. That was when Roger noticed that the golden centurion that had been on the floor was now up and also running towards the anomaly.

Both of them dived into the singularity at almost the same time. Soon after, more tentacles emerged and tried to grab the female mutant who was still resisting

"BACK OFF!" yelled Dr Grey as she psychically shattered the lightening tentacles but Rogers saw the repelled sparks land on the equally spaced metal poles. What happened next was a bluish holo-electric grid sprung up between the singularity and the terrified group of mutants, colonials; cylons and centurions.

Dr Grey sank to her knees, utterly exhausted. Rogers got up and walked unsteadily to her. He was trying not to be overwhelmed by what had just happened; he could see and feel that some of the experienced marines were on the edge of tears. He could also sense the distress and shock coming from the cylons.

"What the frak just happened?" asked a shaken Saul Tigh. The shock of seeing his dead wife forgotten in the moment.

"We got attacked sir, please excuse me."

Rogers got to the female psychic as she muttered. "I have to check on Logan and Anders, then…then..." Her voice trailed off, she was still in shock.

Rogers felt guilty as he had almost forgotten about Captain Logan. To be honest; Rogers was sure that he was dead. There was no way one could come back from being slammed in the ground with so much force. Rogers had seen the ground crack under the impact.

"Stay here Dr Grey. I will check on him on them both."

Anders was already being attended to by two marines; the colonial officer was being sat up and he seemed very groggy. However, he was unhurt.

Rogers turned to where Oma had gently placed the mutant captain. The CAG and Tyrol was already kneeling beside Logan. Lee checked his radial pulse then shook his head.

"I can barely feel his pulse."

Rogers felt his knees buckle. That meant the captain was hurt bad; this was going to break Dr Grey. He just knew it.

"Maybe if we can get him back to the Xavier…" started Tyrol.

Then Rogers sensed something. "Both of you! Get back from him now!" warned the empath.

Thankfully, Lee and Tyrol jumped back just as there was a snkit sound and Logan suddenly sat up with a roar and his adamantium blades extracted.

Rogers was this close to collapsing with relief. He had not realized Logan's mutant healing factor was that fast or miraculous.

"Welcome back captain."

Logan stared at him; with berserker filled eyes. Rogers felt a chill as the Logan shook his head as if to clear it.

"What the fuck happened?! Where is Jean?!"

"I'm okay Logan." Rogers turned to see Dr Grey walking wearily towards them, with a determined look on her face. "Something took Oma, Kara, Six and Natatlie Faust. Q Junior and the golden centurion dived in after them." She hesitated for a brief moment. "It took them deep underground this planet. I can sense them."

Roger's throat constricted with fear as he relieved his vision. How he wished her had been so wrong.

Logan cursed softly before standing up as Tyrol and CAG stared at him with stunned expressions. He stretched his neck, upper and lower back and Rogers thought he heard a metallic crack coming from the mutant as if he was realigning the spine.

"We're going in." His tone promised murder for whoever attacked them.

"I would concur, but we have a significant problem of a new defence field that sprung up after the attack," said Jean as she wearily pointed at the blue electric forcefield now between them and the singularity. "The safest way in will be through those open doors, that miniature worm-hole is not a safe way to travel."

"Gods Dammit," muttered Lee.

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for all the encouragement. Pls enjoy this story!
