Author's Note: Hi guys, so here's the final chapter of what was originally a one-shot. I hope you guys enjoy it. BTW, just to help, "Johnny" in this chapter is Johnny Yow.

The next few months were filled with planning. Both Jeff and Phil wanted something as small and intimate as possible, but circumstances kept causing them to go bigger.

Two of the biggest "circumstances" being named "Reby" and "Ruby".

When they had told their daughter the next morning that they were getting married, she was beyond excited. Both men had to laugh as they watched her jump up and down before hugging them both.

"So do I get to be your flowa gewl?" At almost four years old, she was just getting over the last of her speech hurdles.

Phil and Jeff looked at each other. They had originally planned on something so small that there essentially would be no wedding party. No groomsmen or flower girls or ring bearers. Just them and the person presiding over it. But, looking at her hopeful little face, they clearly could not say no to her.

"Of course, baby," Phil responded, lifting her up into his arms. The squeal of joy let them know that they had made the right decision.

When they first told Matt and Reby, Matt was surprised to say the least, but he was excited and happy for both of them.

Reby, being who she was, immediately started jumping into wedding planning. They were scared they would end up having some kind of huge extravaganza. Eventually, since he had much more time on his hands now that he was retired, Phil began working with Reby side-by-side, giving her his ideas and doing his best to tone her down a notch.

When it came to the guest list, they had another issue simply because they both had too many damn friends. They made a deal to keep the list as short as possible, even if they had to keep some people off.

Phil laughed when he thought about one of their conversations involving guests.

"So how small are we gonna make this?" he asked as he sat with a pad of paper on his lap while Jeff moved around the room adjusting things.

"AJ ain't comin'."

Phil looked up in surprise and did his best to suppress a laugh.

"Are you still hung up on that?"

His smile only dimmed slightly at the glare he received in return as Jeff whipped his head around.

"Still hung up on what? The fact that the entire world thinks you actually married her? The fact that when she had a ring on her finger she didn't bother to correct anybody? That you two went jogging and everyone thought you were on your honeymoon?!"

Phil got a soft understanding smile before replying.

"I'm sorry about that. But if I remember correctly, Beth had a fake ring at one point that you never bothered to correct people about. And after Ruby was born, everyone thought you two had gotten married. You didn't bother to correct them then, did you?"

Jeff let out a sigh.

"I know. I'm sorry. It's just….It's hard to see people just assume things. And she just seems to be enjoying it way too much."

Phil nodded. "I know. I think she just likes that she's getting all the attention. I don't think it actually has to do with me, though. I'll talk to her about handling the chants and the questions better. Her indulging them is starting to aggravate me too."

He chuckled to himself after a moment. "I can't believe people think I actually married her. I swear they can take the most insignificant things and create entire stories out of them."

Jeff gave a small laugh too before Phil started speaking again, this time with a proud grin on his face.

"It won't last too long, though. Once they find out about my name change, everyone is gonna know the truth."

Jeff's eyes went wide. "What name change? What are you talking about?"

"My last name. I'm gonna be a Hardy." "Wait, what?! When did you decide this?"

Phil smiled. "Around the time I realized I wanted to marry you, but I had been thinking about it for a while before that."

"Okay," Jeff couldn't contain his smile, "are you going to hyphenate or…" He was quickly answered by a shake of the head.

"No. I want to just be a Hardy through and through. Besides, what connection do I really have to the 'Brooks' name anyway? The people I consider my parents and my siblings don't have that last name, so what would it matter to me if I lost it?"

Jeff stared at his partner for a minute, trying to see if he was telling the truth.

"Are you sure, Philly? I mean are you really sure?"

Phil nodded eagerly, the light in his eyes and the boyish grin on his face telling Jeff all he needed to know.

"I'm positive."

And that had brought them to this point. Phil was inside their house and Jeff was at Matt's, both of them getting ready for the big day.

"I can't believe I'm getting married," Phil said to himself, making all three of his sisters laugh.

"Cold feet already?" Chaleen asked, though she already knew the answer.

"Not one bit. It's just crazy. I never thought I was the kind to get married and now I can't wait."

All three women smiled as they heard the bedroom door open.

Phil turned and saw both Reby and Ruby walk in.

"Wow, look at you," Reby said in awe. "You look amazing."

"Thanks," Phil answered. "How does everything look out there?"

"Perfect. It's beautiful. And completely you guys."

That made Phil smile. It was October now and they were having a bit of a Halloween-inspired wedding. It was the favorite holiday of both of them after all.

"And how are you doing, beautiful? You ready?" he asked as he scooped his daughter into his arms.

She nodded excitedly. "It's almost time, Papa. Let's go get you married!"

He laughed as he began his last trek out of the bedroom as a Brooks. "Let's go get me married."

"How you doin', baby bro?" Matt asked as he watched Jeff fiddle with his tie in the mirror.

He finally gave up and turned around exasperatedly.

"I'm nervous as hell! I mean what if he realizes he doesn't want to get married after all?...What if he realizes he doesn't want me after all?"

The last part was spoken just above a whisper but Matt heard every word.

"You know, if it wasn't your wedding day, I'd probably slap you across the face. How can you even ask that? Phil's crazy about you. He practically worships the ground you walk on. And I saw his face when you guys told me you were getting married. He was so excited. He wants this, Jeff. More than anything in the world, he wants you."

Jeff nodded, his brother's words reassuring him. He felt like an idiot for even thinking like that.

Johnny walked up to him and placed his hands on his shoulders.

"Be happy. You deserve this. This day's been waiting for you for a long time."

Jeff smiled. As much as people liked to tease Johnny for his strong, sometimes almost impossible to understand accent, every once in a while he said something that just seemed deeply profound to Jeff.

He gave a grateful smile and nod before Matt fixed his tie.

"Now, let's go get you married."

The wedding was gorgeous. It had black, red, and white elements with some Halloween touches throughout. They wanted to get married at home so Reby had completely decked out the area behind Phil and Jeff's house. One of the perks of living in the woods, she supposed.

Ruby came out first, dropping little flower petals as Phil's brother Charlie watched her closely from the front, making sure she knew where to go.

Then came Cassie on Johnny's arm, Chaleen on Shannon's, and lastly Chez on Matt's.

Then finally the time came. Phil and Jeff, who had been hiding themselves from their guests and each other, came from opposite sides, meeting at the "aisle" in between the two sets of chairs.

Neither of them could contain their massive grins as they linked arms and began their walk together.

They got through their vows, Phil failing to do so without shedding some waterworks. Everyone laughed when Reby ran up and quickly handed him some tissues.

When the man presiding finally told them to kiss, Jeff couldn't wait anymore and grabbed his new husband, dipping him low as their lips smashed together. As he brought him back up, they didn't pull apart, neither wanting to separate. When air finally became an issue, they pulled back, both laughing like teenagers.

They made their way back down the "aisle," both knowing that they were officially set for life.

The End
