" Hey…Korra. Listen, I wanted to thank you again for fixing up my shoulder. It was pretty messed up and with your hel—"
"I'm sorry." Korra replied in a dismayed tone. She turned her head away from him and was ready escape through the nearest door.
" Sorry? There is no need. I understand okay? I get it... You like Mako. I was just hoping that we could at least stay friends. I mean, I really like you Korra, but I fully respect that you like my brother over me."
Korra lifted her head. She was unsure of what to respond. It was completely silent for about 30 seconds before she was able to assemble what to say.
"Bolin. You do not know how sorry I am. Really. You are an amazing friend and teammate. We had so much fun hanging out and—"
" Sorry to interrupt but cut to the chase okay? I just wanted to know if we could still be friends. Don't try to make the situation any better because whatever you are saying is just making me feel worse. I know that I'm not perfect. No one is. So stop trying to make me feel better about myself."
" Okay, okay. Sorry. Gosh that word is being overused today… Yes Bolin. I would love to still be your friend."
She gave a smile and took his hand.
Bolin blushed and looked down at her. " Thank you." He responded.
The two of then went out the front door hand-in-hand. And just like that, the whole situation seemed like a distant blur. The two of them were friends, and considering the series of events that recently happened, that was more than either of them expected.
