IV was just standing there, glaring at the new wall clock. His younger brother, III, couldn't help but wonder what his brother had against the new clock V bought.

It was a brilliant piece of work. The wooden frame of the clock was symmetrical with its intricate wooden carvings on left and right. All of the Roman numeral numbers looked as if they were made of gold and shined with the light. The glass that enclosed the hands and the numbers was spotless; you could even see your own reflection in it.

III couldn't see what IV disliked about the clock. Out of his ever growing curiosity, he asked his older brother to share his problems with the clock.

"Tch," IV said. "Must I answer that?"

III was still confused. "I just don't see what's wrong with the clock."

IV rolled his eyes and pointed to the clock's numbers starting with the 12. III looked at each number as IV pointed.

XII, I, II, IIIā€¦ The young boy now saw why his brother was disturbed by the new clock as he read the next number. IIII

The young boy smiled. "IV, how long have you been spelling your name wrong?"
