"Sam got cursed by a witch…" Dean said morbidly, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"What? Is he alright?" Bobby said, peering over Dean's shoulder towards Sam.
Sam, currently halfway up a tree, head stuck in the nook, "Dean, did you see this… There're like termites here, but they're not, are they?… I'm not sure, maybe ants?"
"Sam got hit with a-" Dean got interrupted by Sam's cursing and screaming, followed by the imminent crash.
"Shit! Why're they biting me! What type of poison-"
"a curiosity curse," Dean said and sighed heavily.
"That stinks," Bobby said, his face showing concern.
"Yeah? Try driving from Seattle to Sioux with him," Dean mumbled, "Look… I get it. Big brothers have all the answers… but seriously!".
"I have some jo in the back," Bobby said, his understanding showing clearly in his voice.
"Dean! Hey, why're you walking away? Did I do something wrong? Why did we stop at Bobby's?" Sam said and followed obediently, evidently not aware of how annoying this was.
"It'll be best for him to just let it work out of his system…" Bobby said and handed Dean a cup of the good stuff.
Dean, wrapping his hands around the mug, just frowned in thought, "I guess… how long?"
"You've got so many books, Bobby, is it because you're old or lonely?" Sam said and blinked abruptly, apparently shocked by himself, but nonetheless… "How many books are here? Have you counted them?"
"How long? Until I find my shotgun and come back downstairs…" Bobby said sulkily and walked over to the bookshelf and plucked out one of the books, "Here, entertain yourself."
The older Winchester brother watched, bemused, as Sam opened the book and instantly glued himself to the nearest seat, mumbling to himself, "I wonder what this book is made of… "
Nine hours later….
"Dean?" Sam tapped Dean's shoulder, "You awake?"
"Enough with the questions, dude…. I'll answer you when I'm awake –tomorrow!" Dean grumbled, not wanting to be disturbed from his semi-peaceful sleep.
"No… I wanted to tell you, it wore off…"
Dean nodded hazily, only to sit up abruptly two seconds later, wide awake with the realization that Sam didn't ask him something. Didn't wanted to know something. A small part of Dean suddenly felt a pinch of dismay, he wasn't sure if Sam would ever ask him all the questions of life again. Damn.
