Hello everypony and welcome back to another chapter. I am so unbelievably sorry about the delay, I had a few mental-issues and I got sucked into Dead By Daylight. I understand most of you are a little upset with this, so I've got a surprise for you at the end of the chapter.

A while ago, I received a message saying that the fandom was a dying race, but this is wrong. As long as we keep the show in our hearts, the fandom will live on. Yes S9 is the final season, maybe G5 is a sequel series, maybe its something completely different. Either way, then Meghan McCarthy is working on it too, meaning it'll be carrying on a piece of the show we have now.

Anyway, Please enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 76: Split Pony-ality

Its been 2 weeks since we all had to chase Applejack around Dodge Junction because of something that happened at a rodeo in Canterlot and everything has finally settled down…well, almost everything.

Twi and I have been trying new ways of taking care of Amy, but it has proven to be difficult. Sure, our agreed technique was working, we'd tend to Amy any time any of us had free time to spare, but Amy seemed to be struggling for some reason. One minutes, she's crying because of a full diaper, the next minute its because she's hungry, and the next minute its for Celestia only knows what. To be honest, it was making me a little frustrated.

This worried me in more ways than one, mostly because I don't like the person I become when I get annoyed, especially these days. The dark magic hiding inside me reacts to my anger, if it goes off while I'm around Amy…I can't even begin to think what'll happen or what it'll do to Amy's vision of me.

Ponyville Library

While Twilight was busy with some study work, I was in Amy's room tending to her needs. I cradled Amy in my arms while she whimpered with discomfort. I had tried everything, toys, food, I even checked her diaper, everything seemed fine. However, Amy just kept on whimpering. "C'mon Amy, what's wrong?" I asked with a tired voice. "I've tried my best here, the least you can do is give daddy a smile." I said, speaking gently to appeal to her.

Amy looked at me with her beady blue eyes and her expression didn't change, if anything it looked like it went worse. "Please don't tell me you're coming down with something." I said, hoping to any powerful force that we didn't need to take Amy to the hospital.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light beside me and Discord appeared next to me while wearing a doctor's outfit. "Alright, lets see what the problem is." He said while putting on a rubber glove and letting it snap against his wrist.

I gave him a nervous look as I continued to cradle Amy. "Umm…I appreciate that you wanna help, Discord, but I think I can manage." I said before I returning my attention to Amy and examined her. "Maybe I should try her bottle." I said.

Suddenly, Amy levitated out of my arms and onto her changing table before Discord appeared in front of it. "Clearly this requires further inspection." Discord said before his eyes stretched out of his head and moved around Amy, looking at every inch of her body. "Hmm…uh-huh…ooh…I see." He said as he kept moving is eyes around Amy.

I walked up beside Discord and worried that this act would be too extreme for Amy. "Discord, I said I could handle it…and can you not just look at Amy normally? You're gonna scare her with your eyes stretching out your head like that." I said, sounding both worried and frustrated.

Discord leaned back up before he grabbed his antler and moved it around like a fishing rod crank, reeling his eyes back into his head before he looked at me. "I'm just trying to help, Matthew." He said before he returned his attention to Amy and picked her up in his arms before turning back around to me. "It seems there's gastral destress in her lower organs…in simpler words, she needs to be burped." He said before her turned Amy around on his hands and lightly patted her back.

It took only a minute until a small burp escaped Amy's mouth. Once it was out, Amy finally smiled and snuggled up against Discord's lion-paw fur.

I was left a little stumped after this, also a little heavy-hearted due to my burst out at Discord. "*Sigh* Sorry Discord…I'm just…no feeling myself lately." I say with slight sorrow.

Discord gently placed Amy back down in her crib before he returned his attention to me. "I've noticed that myself." He said before his tail moved under his body and positioned itself in a curved way, allowing him to sit down on it. "Want to tell me what's on your mind?" he asked, crossing his goat leg over his dragon one.

I was hesitant to speak about it at first, but I knew Discord was a close enough friend to share my feelings with. "Its just…everything feels so piled up…there's work I have to do, there's a meeting I have to attend at the Town Hall later…oh, a there's a group of insane Alicorns trying to kill me and dark magic crawling through my body. Anything I left out?" I asked with my eye-lids half-closed.

"I see…have you spoke to Twilight about this? I'm sure she'd understand." Discord said, thinking it would help if I spoke to her.

"Maybe, but maybe she won't…I mean, what does Twi know about dark magic and how to counter it? I've studied all types of magic in Equestria and the dark magic Thorn and Zelga used is way beyond anything I've ever seen. Even Celestia hadn't seen anything like it. If the greatest Alicorn in the world can't figure out how to deal with this type of dark magic, what chance do we have?" I said. It wasn't that I doubted Twilight's abilities on counter magic, but this particular magic seemed a little out of everyone's specialties.

"You're not give her enough credit." Discord said as he crossed his arms and hovered in mid-air. "We both know Twilight is a very powerful pony. If anyone can help you with that dark magic that's inside you, it's her. I mean, remember what I took over the castle in Canterlot and Thorn hypnotised you? Twilight was the one who snapped you out of it." He said before he looked out into the distance and sighed. "*Sigh* Good times." He said with a small grin.

I rolled my eyes before I responded. "Yeah, I know…but what were the chances that would actually work? What's inside me, what's changing me is more advanced than a simple hypnotic spell." I said before I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my head, like two nerves in my brain crashed together. "Ahh…I need to get a drink or something." I said through gritted teeth before I turned and made my way out of the room.

Once I left Amy's room, I made my way downstairs to go to the kitchen. Along the way, I grunted hard in frustration. "Not giving her enough credit, pff!" I said, thinking about what Discord told me. "Doesn't know what he's talking about. And since when did he even start caring about that kind of stuff?" I said to myself as I reached the ground floor of the library and went into the kitchen.

Upon entering the kitchen, I saw Spike and Jeff sitting by the table, it looked like they were writing something. "Ok, so the game will require cardboard figurines, two dice and a large board." Spike said as he wrote down these things.

"Yeah, it also needs a book to tell the story of what's happening. Like every time we roll the dice, whatever it lands on, the book will have an answer to it." Jeff said, thinking much bigger that Spike could've imagined.

Spike looked at him with an unsure look. "But that would need a really big book, won't it? Not to mention it would take years to plan it all out and fill it with different results." He said, not sure if they could do such a task.

"Well we better get started, but first, we need a name for this game." Jeff said before he tried to think of a name for their project. "How about…Ogres and Dragons?" he asked.

"I don't think that'll work, seeing as how I'm a dragon too." Spike said before he rubbed his chin with his claw. "Nah, we need something else, we can keep the 'Ogres and' part, but we need something good to put at the end, something that sounds good." He said while trying to think of a good finisher.

As they worked on this, I made my way over to the fridge and grabbed the handle with my hoof, I pulled it open and looked inside for a nice gold bottler of soda. However, searching up and down, I couldn't find any. "You've got to be kidding, we're out of soda?" I said, getting a little frustrated as I kept looking.

As I continued to search, Spike turned his head around to face me. "Hey Matt, we could use another guy's advise on this, what do you think is a good name?" he asked, hoping I'd have something to finish the name.

I kept searching through the fridge as I sighed heavily and answered him. "I-I don't know, Spike, just pick anything." I said, trying to keep my cool.

Spike and Jeff shared a confused look before the both returned their attention to me. "We would, but we didn't know what to pick, that's why we asked you." Jeff said in response.

I then pulled my head out of the fridge and slammed the fridge door before I turned around to face them. "I don't know, ok! I don't have the answer to everything! Ask Peewee, god knows he's better at these things than I am." I said before I stormed out of the kitchen and into the living room, leaving Spike and Jeff shocked.

"…Well that came out of no-where." Spike said, turning his head to look over to Jeff, seeing his face was as much confused and he was.

Meanwhile, I stormed across the Library and stopped in the middle of the room, I let out another hard sigh and felt regret for how I just exploded in front of Spike and Jeff like that, part of me wanted to go back and apologise for it. But I was still pretty pissed about stuff and I didn't want to make things worse, so I decided to leave it until later when I've calmed down. In the meantime, I went across into the study room where Twilight was doing her studies.

Upon entering the room, I saw Twi with her back turned to me and was facing her study table, working hard as usual. I smiled a little, feeling better already from the site of the most beautiful girl I've ever met. I walked up behind her quietly before I nuzzled my head against her neck, getting her attention and a small smile. "Well hello yourself." She said.

"What you doing?" I asked, sitting down behind her and wrapping my arms around her body.

"Doing some work for the Princess." Twi said before her smile went away. "Hey, I heard some noise out there, is everything ok?" she asked curiously.

I continued to bask in her soft fur as I answered. "Hmm? Oh, nothing, it's just the guys acting weird like always. Discord's being a pain, Spike and Jeff are in their own little world, same-old-same-old." I said before I looked into her eyes and smiled warmly. "But Amy's resting now, the guys are distracted, we have this whole room to ourselves to do whatever we-"

"Hooo!" A faint hoot interrupted my moment and I looked up to see Owlisious standing on a bird stand and looking down at us, he hooted once more as he covered his eyes with his wing.

"Aww ballsack." I cursed before I released Twi and looked at her. "Guess that ruins that idea…wanna take it into the basement?" I said as a small smirk grew on my face, believing she would accept.

Twilight looked at me while returning the smirk. "Sorry lover-boy, but I've got a lot of work to do and no time to stop." She said before she turned her head back around to return to focusing on her work.

Seeing this, I frowned a little and tried to change her mind. "Oh come on, Twi." I said as I walked up beside her and gently stroked her back with my wing. "I've been feeling a little…you know…and I think we could both let off some steam." I said, rubbing my feathers in the places on her back I knew she could feel it.

Despite giving off a little shiver, Twi remained strong. "Sorry Matt, but I have a lot of work to do. We have time to let off steam any time we want, but now's not one of those times. Besides, I'm not feeling the mood." She said in her reasonable voice.

Hearing this, I got a little frustrated again and stepped away from Twi. "Great, first Discord lectures me about how to care for my own kid, Spike and Jeff are asking me stupid questions and now I can't even have a moment with my own wife." I said, my voice getting louder and angrier.

Taking notice in my change of tone, Twilight turned around to face me. "Matt, what's wrong with you? This isn't a reason to get angry." She said, giving me a firm look.

"Well if I'm angry, it isn't my fault!" I snapped as my coat turned a dim colour.

My outburst made Twi shocked a little before her firm look returned. "Matt, I don't know what's going on with you today, but I don't want it around here. Maybe you should go out and take a breath or something and come back when you feel better." She said.

"Fine!" I said before I stormed over to the door and walked out of the doorway before I turned to look back at Twi. "And you can snuggle yourself tonight, 'cause you clearly don't want me to do it!" I said before I slammed the door behind me.

Twilight groaned in annoyance before she turned around to face her work again before hearing me slam the front door as I left the Library. But even though she was now upset, she was worried about me.

Later that day: Sugercube Corner

After a short yet frustrating walk through the streets, I finally arrived at Sugercube Corner. I wasn't planning on going there when I left the Library, but I felt like having a nice cold soda, maybe it would calm my nerves. Usually I would have some of Applejack's cider, but since Amy came along, I've had to cut back a little.

I entered the store and was stunned to see a large line in front of the counter, I looked beyond the line and saw Pinkie struggling to take everyone's orders and deliver them. I wondered where Mr and Mrs Cake were, but I figured they were taking care of Pound and Pumpkin. I groaned as I began to wait in line and grumbled to myself. "Great, just great…make things harder for me, as if things weren't bad enough." I said as quietly as I could. But doing this caught the attention of the pony in front of me and he turned to give me a look, which I responded by giving him a fake smile.

After a few more minutes, I finally made it in front of the line and I stood in front of the counter were Pinkie greeted me with a warm smile. "Hi Matty, sorry for the line, its been crazy today." She said, sounding as cherry as ever.

"Its fine, Pinkie." I groaned with as much of a smile as I could force up at the moment. "Can I have a soda please, I'm really in need of one." I said as I prepared to get out some bits for her.

"Soda?" Pinkie asked. "Sorry Matty, fresh out, that pony before you just got the last one for today." She claimed.

Once heard that, my body tensed up with anger, unable to believe that this was all happening in one day. "You've got to be kidding me, I wait in this line for ages for nothing?" I said, sounding frustrated.

Pinkie gave me a small reassuring smile. "Well, maybe there's something else you can have. How about a sundae? Everypony loves sundaes!" she said, trying to find a suitable substitute.

"I don't like ice cream, Pinkie?" I said while rubbing my face hard with my hoof. "We've known each other for a long time, I thought I would've made that clear by now!" I said as some dark patches began to grow on my coat.

Pinkie's ears lowered a little. "Matt, are you ok?" she said as she reached her hoof out to me.

"Yeah, Pinkie I'm fine." I said as my coat began to let out small streams of smoke. "One of my best friends is lecturing me on how to raise my child, my child! Spike and Jeff are going on about Celestia knows what! Twilight won't even touch me! Some kids shot me with a water-gun on the way here! I had to wait for Granny Smith to cross a path before I could go through, even though the road wasn't busy at all!" I said, getting more and more angry with everything I saw.

"Excuse me?" A light voice said as I felt a hoof poke the side of my body.

"Just a sec." I said without even looking to see who it was. "I've got killer Alicorns after me and I don't have any idea when the next one is gonna attack, and to top it off, I have a dark parasite inside me that reacts when I get angry!" I said while my coat was getting darker.

"Yeah, about that…" Pinkie said, noticing the dark shade on my coat getting thicker, nearly changing my green coat to full black.

"Excuse me, Matt?" The voice said again as I felt the hoof poke my body again.

"Just a second!" I said a little louder, once again, without looking to see who it was. I returned to focus to Pinkie before I spoke. "What? Is it happening right now? I'm not surprised, everything today has been driving me crazy and I'm on the very edge of exploding!" I said, my eyes turning from blue to nearly pure white.

"Umm…Matt?" The voice said again as I felt them poke me again.

With my anger at fully powered, I finally reached my limit and spun around to the pony. "WHAT?!" I yelled as my coat became fully black and my eyes glowed white. But once I saw who it was, all my anger died down and I was left with only regret. Fluttershy stared at me with wide frightened eyes, quivering with her ears down. And to make matters worse, Applebloom was beside her, giving me the same look.

Everyone in the store stared at me with their jaws hanging open, surprised that I just yelled at Fluttershy and Applebloom. I was just as surprised, part of me couldn't even remember why I was so angry, all I could think about was how I was gonna fix this. "F-Fluttershy…Applebloom, I…I'm so sorry, I…I didn't know you…I wasn't…" I said before I took a step towards them. But by doing this, Fluttershy took a step back and Applebloom hid behind her front-legs.

Seeing this, along with their frightened faces and the disapproving faces of everyone else, broke my heart. I looked down at my body and noticed a bit of the dark magic on the top of my wings. I looked at them with a heavy heart, starting to think I was becoming something horrible. "Wat's happened to me…I can't be here." I thought before I shook off the dark mist on my wings and ran out of Sugar Cube Corner, the last thing the ponies inside saw of me was me taking off into the sky.

Fluttershy and Applebloom looked at each other with concern before they looked back out the doorway again.

Sometime later: Everfree Forest

After flying off, I decided to go into the Everfree Forest to clear my head. I sat by a small lake and kicked stones into the water as I entered deep thought. "I can't believe I just snapped at them like that. Fluttershy, one of the most timid ponies I know and one of my best friends, was scared of me. The way she looked at me, she was looking at me like I was some kind of monster. And Applebloom, the little sister I never had, I'll never get that look out of my head. All of this because of this dark parasite inside me." I thought before I raised my right-hoof up and looked at it. "Whatever's inside me is getting stronger, I need to find a way to fix it." I thought before I tried to think of a solution.

Go to Moleyair for some spiritual advice? Go back to Twilight and get some comfort? Have a fly around to cool down? Take a vacation? All of these were positive choices, but I soon remembered that this wasn't just a bad attitude I was dealing with, it was dark magic. My anger was out of my control, only this thing inside me controlled it now. The only way to fight dark magic was to counter it with stronger magic. Part of me thought of going to Celestia for some help, but I didn't want to worry her with this, she'd also probably say there was no magic she could use to counter it without risking my safety. With that, only one person came to mind that could help me. "I hope she's home." I said before I got up and made my way deeper into the forest, luckily the person I needed to see was right in the middle of it.

-Later: Zecora's hut-

After arriving at Zecora's hut, I was welcomed like always and I sat down by her table as she brought over some cups of tea. "Here, drink your tea to calm your nerves. It is quite good, I used my best herbs." She said as she sat down across the table for me. "Now while you enjoy my tea, do you mind telling what brings you to my tree?" she asked before she took a sip of her own tea.

I took a small sip of my tea and found it hard to swallow. The herps mixed into it sent my taste-buds on end, I was never really one for herby drinks. I managed to get it down my throat before I put the cup down and decided not to pick it up again. "Well, the problem is I have this little…problem." I said, not sure how to explain it to her.

Zecora took another sip of her tea before she responded. "If your referring to the dark magic inside you, I already know, and you've come here wondering if I can help make it go." She said with no surprised expression on her face.

I was left nearly speechless before I finally spoke. "You're good at that." I said before I leaned closer. "Its getting worse, Zecora. Its not just when I'm in fights anymore, it was happening all day today. Things were getting out of hand, I was getting annoyed and I just snapped. I ended up yelling at Fluttershy and Applebloom…I didn't mean to, I didn't even know it was them until after I yelled, but I need help to stop it." I said, hoping Zecora had something to keep the dark magic at bay.

"Hmm, I was told the dark magic used to belong to Thorn and Zelga, but upon their deaths that magic passed on to you. Unfortunately, I fear I may not know what to do." Zecora said before she got up and went over to her glowing caldron. "There are some potions that can rid the soul of all darkness, but the following results could be disastrous." She said as she pored a bottle of seeds into the caldron, making it bubble more.

I got up and made my way towards Zecora. "Do you know any potions that maybe…won't be disastrous? I really need some help keeping this thing inside." I said before I looked into the caldron. "What are you making anyway?" I asked curiously.

Zecora tuned her head to face me. "I'm afraid there is nothing I can think of right now, but if there is a potion I can make that can help you, I'll try to figure out how." She said before she walked over to her bookshelf. "I could make you something that could get rid of it faster, but to make such a brew could take days to master." She said before she grabbed one of her books with her mouth and placed it down on the desk in front of her.

"That long? Are you sure there's nothing you can give me now?" I asked, almost sounding desperate.

"I'm afraid not, for it may prove disastrous indeed." Zecora said before she turned around and made her way towards the front door. "Now if I'm going to make this brew, I'll need to find the ingredients I need. I trust you can find you way out?" she said as she used her hoof to pull open the door.

"Yeah." I said, knowing this was as good as I was going to get. As Zecora left the hut to head off into the forest, I was left in the hut alone. I sighed in defeat before I looked up at the bookshelf and saw the empty space where the book Zecora took down used to be, that's when I saw the title of one of them, it read 'Personality and Attitude adjustments'. A thought came to mind the moment I read those words, I looked over to the front door and saw that Zecora was no-where in sight, giving me the perfect chance to take a closer look at that book.

I looked back up to it and reached my hoof up to take it, but I hesitated, feeling it wasn't something I should do and it would probably get me in some crazy situation. "Should I try this?" I asked myself before I thought back to what happened in Sugar Cube Corner, the looks on all of those faces was enough to make me desperate again. "I have to, if not for my sake, then for everyone else's." I said before I took the book down and opened it before I read what this potion would do.

As I read through it, hope began to rise inside me. "Yeah, yeah, this could work." I said to myself before I looked over to the front-door again to see Zecora was still not back. "Hmm...I'm only borrowing it." I said before I closed the book and picked it up. I then flew out of the hut with the book in my grasp and made my way back to town.

Later that day: Library

After returning home, I took the book down to the basement, the same room Twilight had Pinkie in during the whole Pinkie-sense event. I started looking over the recipe for the potion, it seemed a little complicated, I figured I could use some help for this. As I continued to read the book, Spike came through the door and looked down at me. "Hey Matt, Twilight says it's time for supper." He said before he noticed the book I was reading. "What you got there?" he said as he made his way down the stairs to come down to me.

I was planning on keeping this quiet, but like I said, I probably needed help, no-one better to help me than Spike. "Spike...I'm actually glad you came down here." I said and I watched him approach me. "I need your help with something very important." I stated.

Spike looked down at the book I was reading and then returned his attention to me before crossing his arms. "Are you hiding another book? Remember what happened last time you did something like this?" he asked with a disapproving look.

"I know, Spike. But this is totally different, this isn't the journal of some mystery pony, this is a potion book." I said and I picked up the book and showed Spike the cover.

Spike stared at the cover for a second before he responded. "A potion book? How is that any better? That's probably just as dangerous." He said before he took the book and flipped through the pages. "Who knows what half these potions could do." He said.

"We don't have to worry about the others, we just have to worry about one." I said before I reached my hoof over to the book and turned the pages until Spike was faced with the page I was reading.

Spike read the title of the page. "Personality duplication." He read before he looked up at me. "What does it do?" he asked curiously.

"Apparently if you get a sample of a certain pony and mix it into this potion, it makes the drinker act just like them." I explained. "So say I mixed the potion with sample of Pinkie's hair, if I drink it, it'll probably make me as cheery as she is." I said.

Spike looked at me with his head cocked and one eye more open than the other. "That has to be the craziest thing I've ever heard. I mean, why do you even want to do something like that?" He said before he tried to think of a reason why I would want to do that before a thought came to mind. "Wait…is this about what happened at Sugar Cube Croner?" He asked.

I was a little surprised that Spike knew about that. My ears dropped as I looked away from him. "How did you know about that?" I asked with a bit of shame in my voice.

"Fluttershy came over to ask if you were ok, she said she couldn't find you anywhere." Spike said before he moved closer to me. "She said you shouldn't feel bad, she knows you're not…completely yourself lately." He hesitated to complete that sentence. "She not upset with you and neither is Applebloom." He claimed.

"Maybe, but if that thing inside me made me blow up today, then it'll probably make me blow up tomorrow, or maybe the day after that, or the day after that. There're too many chances. Please Spike, I need you to help me with this." I said, giving Spike a desperate look.

Spike looked at the desperateness in my eyes and sighed heavily. "*Sigh* Its been a while since we did anything crazy, so what the hay." She said, giving me a small supportive smile. "So what exactly do we need to make this stuff work?" he said as he looked down at the book.

"Well first we need a sample of someone's hair. I was thinking maybe Twilight's, she's kind hearted, she'd be perfect to rid off the dark magic." I said as I walked around until I was standing beside him, looking down at the book with him.

Spike turned his head to look at me with an unsure look. "Maybe…but, knowing Twilight as long as I have, she's had some…crazy moments. There was this one time where Twilight first learned about Pinkie's Pinkie-sense and she went crazy trying figure out how it worked, she even burst into flames at some point." He explained.

I thought back to that point. I wasn't in Equestria at that time, but I saw the episode, the last thing I needed was to become an enflamed dark magic beast. "Maybe you have a good point, but she's still one of the most kind-hearted ponies I know. But if you insist, maybe we should try someone else." I said as I tried to think of someone who'd be perfect.

"Maybe Applejack?" Spike suggested as he thought back to all the good things Applejack has done for everyone.

"Probably, but remember what I told you what happened when she went off to Dodge Junction to earn money sorting berries. I don't really want that much negativity if this thing works." I said as I tried to think of someone else.

"Pinkie?" Spike said, sounding as though he was getting tired of suggesting people.

"Clearly you've never seen Pinkimena." I said, remembering back to the 'bucket of turnips' incident.

Spike sighed heavily before he placed the book down. "Ok, I give up! At this rate I'd suggest you might as well have all of them so there's no room for any negative emotions." He said as he turned around with his arms crossed.

After hearing that, the idea appeared in my head and I could imagine it working. If I used the hair of all our friends, then maybe it would counter any and all negativity, then dark magic inside me wouldn't have any darkness to feed off at all. "Spike, that's brilliant! I would've never thought of that. We have to get hair samples from each of our friends. Right now!" I said as I took off into the air and flew up to the door that led back up to the living room.

Spike was left almost speechless at my sudden reaction and watched me fly back up to the living room. "I wasn't even serious." He mumbled to himself as he followed me back upstairs.

A few hours later

After we left basement, Spike and I spent a long amount of time collecting hair samples from all our friends with being noticed. The easiest was Twilight, we found a string of hair in her hairbrush. As for the rest, it was a bit of a challenge.

We got a piece of Rarity's hair from her shower drain, we didn't think she would carelessly leave her hair on her hairbrush or pillow.

We managed to pluck a piece of Applejack's hair off her head while she was working. She was being swarmed by bugs, so we thought the suddenly prick that she'd feel would be mistaken for a bug bite.

Fluttershy wasn't easy to get. In the end, we had to get some inside help. We had Angel go in and pluck a piece from her head. Upon doing so, we rewarded him with a few carrots.

For Rainbow, we had to be creative and fast. As she was flying through the clouds, I was hiding within a cloud with Spike on my back with a pair of scissors. As she flew over the cloud we were in, Spike raised the scissors up and snipped the hair on the end of her tail off.

As for Pinkie, we tried to get a piece of her hair without her knowing, but she soon caught on until she knew what we were after. We thought we were done for, until a large smile appeared on her face and she gave us a piece of her hair willingly. This left us stumped, but we went with it.

After we got all the hair samples, we returned to the Library and went back down to the basement. We got a large bowl and started putting in the needed ingredients until all that was left were the hairs. We dropped them in one at a time and saw the colour of the water change with each one. "Ok, I think that's it." I said with the aura of the potion glowing in my face. "You got that vile, Spike?" I asked as I turned my head to face him.

Spike came over to me with an empty glass vile and held it up to me. "I still don't think this is a good idea." He said with an uncertain look on his face.

"Maybe it isn't, but whatever happens it better than me lashing out at everyone." I said before I took the vile with my hoof and dipped it into the potion, I waited until it was full until I raised it back up. I watched the multi-coloured liquid inside ripple inside before I looked down at Spike. "Well…here's to a better me." I said before I returned my attention to the vile and held it to my mouth, I titled it up until I felt the liquid touch my lips, I gulped every last drop of it until the vile was empty again.

I place the vile down and let out a small belch, some colourful sparks flew out of my mouth as I did so. "Pardon." I excused myself as I tasted the after-taste in my mouth.

"Feel any different?" Spike asked curiously, looking me up and down.

I stepped back and looked down at my body. I truly didn't feel any different. I expanded by wings to examine them and didn't see anything different there either. "I don't feel different, do I look different?" I asked, looking over to Spike.

"No." Spike answered before he looked at the potion. "Maybe we did something wrong?" He said before he looked at the book to see if we had missed something. "Or maybe the potion is just a dud." He said, thinking the potion didn't do what we thought.

I looked at the book and shook my head. "What a rip-off, Zecora should get her money back." I said before I let out a yawn. "But anyway, we'll worry about this stuff tomorrow, Twilight's probably wondering where we are." I said before I turned around and made my way towards the stairs.

Spike put down the book and followed me. "Don't worry, Matt, we'll find another way to help you with the dark magic." He said, trying to reassure me.

I looked back at him as I made my way up the stairs. "Thanks Spike, hopefully a solution will come soon." I said as we reached the door that led into the living room.

The next day

Twilight was awakened by the morning sun rising and shining through the closed curtains in front of the window. She fluttered her eyes open before she rolled over on the bed. "Matt…you awake yet?" she asked sleepily before she opened her eyes properly. She was surprised to see I wasn't in the bed with her, she leaned up on the bed and looked around. "Matt?" she called.

Twilight then got out of bed and made her way downstairs to the living room. Once she was down there, she was shocked to see stacks of books piled up around the room. "What in Equestria…" she said in confusion.

"Twilight? Is that you? Perfect timing, could you pass me that book on ancient Equestrian artefacts? I need to review how many there are in each region." I said behind a pile of books.

Twilight grew a confused look before she made her way over to me. "Why do you want that? How long have you been up?" she asked as she came over to me.

"I've been up for a while now. I'm surprised it took you so long to wake up, I've seen you wake up earlier than this." I said, still hiding behind a book pile.

Twilight used her magic to lift the books aside until she could finally see me. "Since when have you been so interested in-…" she stopped in her sentence and gasped at the sight of me.

My coat had changed to a light velvet, my mane was dark blue with a purple and pink streak, and the colour of my controller Cutie Mark was now a dark pinkish-red. "Was there really a war between the Yaks and Griffons, I swore I read that somewhere." I said, acting like nothing was wrong.

Twilight's jaw was hanging open wide before she rushed over to me. "Matt, what in Equestria happened to you?!" she asked with wide-eyes as she looked up and down. "Why do you look like…me?" she asked, wondering how this could've happened.

"What do you mean?" I asked before I got up and walked over to a mirror. Once I looked through it, I saw she was right, I did look a lot like her. "Ah!" I yelped before I looked closer. "Fascinating…this must be a side-effect of that potion I took. Looks like its heavily focusing on your strand of DNA." In said as I rubbed my cheek with my hoof.

Twilight walked over to me with a raised eye-brow. "Potion? What potion?...And what do you mean my DNA?" she said, sounding a little mad by that last part.

"Long story." I said before I turned around to face her. "But I took a potion to counter the dark magic inside me…feels like it worked, I don't feel a single bit of anger or frustration." I said as I walked back over to the books.

Twilight followed me with an uncomforting look on her face. "Maybe not, but you're still acting different that your usual self, not to mention you don't look like yourself. We have to find a way to…Matt…" she growled as she watched me lift a book in front of my face, more focused on that than her. She then used her magic to pull the book away before her face shoved up against mine. "Matt! We have to find a way to reverse this potion!" she said.

"Calm down, babe." I said, trying to ease her down. "I've looked up this potion more and I'm sorry, there's no reversing it, we'll have to wait until it wares off." I said.

"Ok, so how long will that take?" Twilight asked, wanting to know how long I'll be stealing her look.

"From what I remember, about until sunset today." I said before I picked up another book and started reading it. "By the way, dragon's have two types of maturing. One is greed growth, which we've already seen…and the other is a type of malt, they get painful scales, bad breath, uncontrollable voice volume…Spike's in for a lot in the future." I said, feeling like I'd hate to be him in the future.

"Matt! Stop reading for five minutes." Twilight snapped before she realised what she said. "Wow, that sent a bad taste in my mouth." She said to herself before she returned her attention to me. "Matt, this isn't the way you should be handling your anger, Princess Celestia will know a way to fix it, we just have to talk to her." She said.

I lowered the book and looked at her. "I understand that, Twi, but the damage is done now. We can't do anything else than wait for the potion's effects to ware off." I said before I gave her a warm smile. "But is it so bad? I mean, wouldn't you want to sit here and read this stuff with me? Maybe we can work on that assignment the Princess asked you to do." I said before I reached over and grabbed a new quill. "I have my own quill." I said, trying to tempt her into accepting.

Twilight went silent as her ears lowered, she remained like that for a moment before a small smile appeared on her face. "Well…I guess things like this don't come around often." She said before she sat down beside me and started reading with me.

An hour later

Minutes past and Twi and I bonded more than ever. We read book after book, shared intelligent conversation which included talking in old pony-ish, and we talked about things most ponies wouldn't have kept up with. Needless to say, we were bonding more than ever.

"Haha." Twilight laughed. "I can't believe Moon Dancer didn't know we had to add Sodium Chloride first." She said, referring to her time back in Canterlot.

I laugh with her. "Yeah, its like, read the book already." I said before we both laughed loudly.

Our laughter eventually died down and Twilight looked at me with a cheerful smile. "Oh Matt, I love that we can talk about this kind of stuff." She said before her smile soon faded away. "But I hope it won't be long before you turn back to your old self. I miss my goof-ball husband." She said.

I look at her and give her a comforting smile. "Twi, I'm still your goof-ball husband, I'm just…more like you right now." I said, trying to ease her worries. I then grew a mysterious smirk and scooted towards her. "Hey, I read a few Romanic novels last night, gave me a few ideas." I said.

Twilight looked at me and giggled. "Oh, is that so?" she asked with half-lidded eyes. "And what did you think of?" she asked.

"Well." I said before I leaned in and started whispering into her ears.

Upon hearing me, Twilight's eyes widened and her back fur stood up on end. She then placed her hoof on my chest and lightly pushed me away. "Matt, we can't do that…Amy and the others are in the house." She said quietly, looking around to make sure no-one heard us.

"As long as we're quiet, I don't see any harm." I said before I leaned in and started planting kisses on her neck, making her giggle and warm up to it.

But just as we started to get down to business, Discord appeared in a flash of light wearing a night-robe and holding a coffee-mug. "Oh get a room, you two." He said, looking at us with tired eyes.

His sudden appearance made us both break apart in a startled yelp. I looked up at him with frustration. "Thanks a lot Discord, way to spoil the mood." I said, feeling my arousal die down.

"You can't blame me for waking up at a certain moment." Discord said before he grew a puzzled look. He looked at me and then to Twilight as if he was examining the pair of us. "There's something different about one of you." He said, not noticing that I looked the same as Twilight. "Which one of you is the real Twilight?" he asked, not seeing any difference.

Twilight and I looked at each other in confusion before we looked back up at him. "The answer is obvious Discord, we have the same look but we don't have the same appearance." I said, pointing out the big difference between us.

Discord continued to examine us both before he shrugged. "Nope, can't see a difference. There's only one way to know for sure who's who!" he said before he snapped his fingers.

In a flash of light, Twilight and I appeared on a gameshow stage with lights flickering and a large logo light up in the centre of the wall. "It's the Who Is Who show! Now let's hear it for our host, the godlike, the king of chaos, the handsome…Discord!" Discord's voice said before a spotlight shined on a curtain and Discord stepped out wearing a grey suit, he waved to the crowd, who were also a bunch of Discords, before he made our way over to us.

"Thank you, thank you, ladies and germs! You all look beautiful, especially you." Discord said, pointing down at a Discord who looked exactly like the rest.

"Oh sure, he notices the difference with them." I groaned before we both continued to see where this was going.

Discord then made our way over to us before he looked at me. "Now to find out exactly who is who, you'll need to answer a series of questions that only Matthew or Twilight would know." He said before he reached into his suit and picked out a card. "The first one for this you." He said as he looked at me before he read the card. "Question number one…when is my birthday?" he asked before he waited for my answer.

"I didn't know you even had one, Discord." I said, not remembering any time Discord had a birthday ever. I then groaned in annoyance. "Discord, this is stupid, I'm Matt! Look at me, listen to my voice!" I said before I took off into the air and hovered in front of him. "I have wings for god's sake!" I said, turning around and showing them off to him.

Discord was silent for a moment before he answered. "Good point." He said before he snapped is fingers and we were all back in the library living-room in a flash of light.

Once that was over, I shook off the dizziness from my head before I realised something. "Wait, if Discord's down here, then who's checking on Amy?" I said before I looked at Twilight. "Did you check on Amy before you came down?" I asked, beginning to worry a little.

Twilight nodded. "Yeah, she was fast asleep, I'm sure she would've let us know by now if there was a problem." She said, trying to put my worries to rest.

"I suppose." I said as I started to calm down. "But I better go check on her again, just to be safe." I said before I started making my way towards the stairs. But just as I was about to reach them, I felt a sharp pain in my body, making me come to an immediate halt.

Twilight noticed this and rushed to my side. "Matt, are you ok? What's wrong?" she asked with deep concern as I clenched my belly with my hoof.

"I don't know…I feel really…ah!" I yelled in pain before my body stiffed up and my eyes shot open wide.

Right in front of Twilight's eyes, my coat started to turn from velvet to pure white, my mane colour changed to fully purple, and my Cutie Mark colour changed to a light-blue colure. Once my transformation was complete, I stood perfectly still with my eyes wide open before my senses came back to me. "Urrr….w-what was I doing again?" I asked before I turned around to face Twilight.

Twilight stared at me with shocked eyes. "M-Matt…what happened to you? You look more like…Rarity now!" she said as she came over to me and looked me up and down.

"I do?" I asked before I looked at myself and saw she was right, my coat had changed to white in a matter of moments. I went over to a mirror and looked at myself. "Oh dear, you're right…I do look like Rarity…I thought it was supposed to just make me look like one pony…" I said before my eyes went up to my mane and I felt a flicker of disgust. "Oh…Twi, why didn't you say my hair looked this bad?" I said before I ran my hoof through it to try and fix the scruffy mess.

Twilight's mouth dropped open, unable to believe that my mane was what I was worried about at the moment. At that moment, Spike walked into the room and saw me from behind. "Rarity, I urr…didn't know you were coming by today." He said as he used his hands to try and straited his spines up to make them look good.

I then stopped trying to fix my hair and turned around to face him. "Its me, you dope." I said, looking down at him with a raised eye-brow.

Once he saw me, Spike yelped in shock and leaped backwards. "Whow! Matt! Why do you look so much like Rarity?" he asked, feeling a little freaked out.

"I don't know, I think it has something to do with the potion I took." I said before I noticed Spike's scales. "Spike, did you have a bath or something? You're scales look really shiny today." I said before I lowered my head to him to have a better look. "You know, this is giving me and idea to give to Rarity…I good idea…great even…" I said as I got more excited with each word. "You know something, I think I need to go and tell Rarity this before I forget….be right back." I said before I started going towards the door in a small rush.

Twilight saw me trying to leave and suddenly teleported right in front of me to stop me. "Matt, you can't go out there looking like that, everyone will see you and freak out." She said.

I give her a confident smile. "Darling, I'll only be gone for a minute. Besides, if people are freaked out by fabulousness, that we should feel bad for them." I said before I walked around Twilight and opened the door with my hoof. "Back in a jiffy." I said before I walked out of the Library and closed the door behind me.

"Ok, what was that all about?" Twilight asked out-loud, open for anyone to answer.

Discord and Spike looked at each other before they looked back at Twilight. "Well, I sure you'll solve the mystery behind this weird and sudden situation, haha." Spike chuckled nervously. "I'm just gonna go upstairs and keep an eye on Amy until this whole thing ends." He said before he tried to make his way up towards Amy's room.

Twilight gave him a suspicious look. "Spike, do you know anything about this potion Matt made?" she asked, having a feeling he knew more than he was saying.

Spike stopped in front of the stairs, knowing he had been made. He turned around with a nervous look. "Well, I mighta, sorta, helped Matt make it." He admitted. "He found the recipe in one of Zecora's books, we borrowed it for a while so Matt could make the potion here. It said we needed a sample of a pony's hair to make it work, but Matt decided to use a sample of hair from you and the rest of our friends. It said it would make Matt act more like you guys, guess it had more kick than we thought." He explained, hoping Twilight wouldn't be too upset.

"Spike, why would you help Matt make such a thing?" Twilight asked as she came over to him.

"He said he was losing control of the dark magic inside him, he wanted a way to stop it from taking over him again. This potion makes the drinker act like anyone they want, Matt wanted to act more like you guys, so he decided to use it to force the dark magic to stay down." He explained once again.

Twilight was silent before she sighed, knowing I had indeed been struggling with this kind of thing. "Alright…lets just go find Matt before he gets himself hurt. This potion lasts until midnight, so we just need to keep him safe until then." She said before she looked up at Discord. "Discord, can you and the others look after Amy while we're gone?" she asked.

Discord nodded. "Of course, but when she makes a mess, I'm using magic to clean it up." He said before he disappeared in a flash of light, most likely to Amy's room.

"Don't you think it would be better if I stayed behind to watch over Amy?" Spike asked curiously.

Twilight looked down at Spike with a firm look. "No way, you helped course this mess, now you're gonna help clean it up." She said before she used her magic to pick Spike up and placed him on her back.

Once they were ready, Twilight opened the door with her magic and they ran out into town to try and find me, their first stop being Carousel Boutique.

Carousel Boutique

Once they arrived at the Boutique, Twilight burst through the door with Spike still on her back. Doing this gained a light yelp from Rarity whom was measuring the sleeve length on a mannequin, she spun around to see the two. "Are you trying to give me a heart-attack? You could've just knocked." She said firmly, not liking the sudden jump they gave her.

Twilight gave Rarity an apologetic look as she walked over to her. "Sorry Rarity, but we're in a hurry. Have you seen Matt anywhere? He said he was coming here." She said.

"And he might look a little different than usual." Spike added. "Like a…more like you different, you know what I mean?" he asked, knowing how confusing it must sound.

Rarity looked down at him before she groaned in relief. "Ahh, finally, there's a suitable explanation." She said before she turned around and made her way towards the stairs. "Follow me." She said. With that, Twilight followed Rarity upstairs with Spike still riding her back.

Once upstairs, Rarity led Twilight to her work-office and opened the door with her magic, they all looked inside and saw me working on a number of fancy suits. "When he got here, he insisted on helping me to make, as he put it, 'the best suits Ponyville could ever have'. I kept trying to ask why he decided to dye his coat and mane the same colour as mine, but he just keeps changing the subject. From what I can tell, he's made nineteen suits since he got here." She explained as she all continued to watch me work.

Spike got off Twilight's back and looked up at Rarity. "How come you didn't try to stop him?" he asked curiously.

Rarity looked down at Spike. "Spike, precious-pants, who am I to get in the way of passion?" she then looked back into the room to see me still focused on the suits. "Besides, he wasn't wrong, those are some of the best suits I've seen." She said, please by the outcome of my sudden career change.

Twilight then grew a firm look before she went through the doorway. "Then I'll have to stop him then." She said as she marched over to me. Once she reached me, Twilight tapped my shoulder with her hoof and I turned to face her. "Matt, we need to talk." She said strongly.

I turned around to face her properly and a large smile appeared on my face. "Twilight! Sweetie! Its great to see you." I said as I embraced her in a loving hug. I then broke away and looked at her. "You look good today, did you change your mane? Loving it! Its so you." I said, admiring her mane-style.

"Urr, it's the same as its always been." Twilight stated before she decided to change the conversation. "Matt, you're not well, you need to come back to the Library with us right away." She said, almost making it sound like an order.

"But I can't leave now, I was just about to put the finishing touches on this hard-shoulder suit." I said before I lifted up a black suit with spongy-hard shoulders. I looked over to Rarity and showed it to her. "What do you think? Grey buttons or keep it black?" I asked, wanting her professional opinion.

Rarity looked at it and waved her hoof. "Oh, defiantly keep it black." She said, gaining a firm looked from Twilight. "…Sorry…" Rarity said, feeling she wasn't helping the situation much.

Twilight returned her attention to me and used her magic to pull the suit away. "Matt, you're not acting like yourself! If you keep this up, you might hurt yourself." She said, sounding more concerned now than strong.

I waved my hoof at her. "That's ridiculous, honestly, how can anyone possibly hurt themselves by making art." I said before I walked over to a sowing-kit and picked up a sharp sowing-pin with my mouth. "Now, if you'll excuse me, the buttons aren't going to put themselves on the suit." I said in a muffled voice.

Twilight knew this tactic wasn't going to work, so she decided to try a different approach, one that would scare me into coming back with her. "Matt!" she used her magic to pull the pin out of my mouth and put it down on the table. "If you don't come back with us to the Library this instant, you're going to be sleeping downstairs for a month! You'll think the time you accidently made me spill ink on my report was me going easy on you, am I clear?" she said strongly. "You have to choose right now, me or these suits." She said.

With that being said, I started looking through my minds-eye towards the options I had, and right now only one was an obvious choice.

-In my mind-

I burst out of the Boutique doors wearing one of the suits I made, Twilight came out with me with an annoyed look on her face as I started to sing out-loud.

Me: I know what you're thinking, what's Matty been drinking? That girl was smoking hot

Yes I could've nailed her, but no its not a failure, 'cause there's one this she is not

To score a ten would be just fine, but I rather be dressed to the nines! It's a truth you can't refuuuuute!

Nothing suits me like a suit!"

I then started making my way through Ponyville while looking at the ponies around me, picturing them in suits that would also suit them.

"Picture a world where all the boys and girls are impeccably well dressed. That delivery guy in a jacket and tie, that puppy in a double-breast

That eighties dude with muttonchops, that filly with a lollypop! That lady guard who's kinda cuuuute!"

(With other ponies): "Nothing suits them like a suit (Suits!)

Wing man I can wear! (Suits!), they're oh so debonair! (Suits!), a perfect way to snare a girl with daddy issues! (Suits!)

In navy blue or black! Check out this perfect rack! I want to give them a squeeze."

Discord: "Oh really?...Then answer these questions, if you please…

What would you do if you had to choose between your suits and a pot of gold?"

Me: "Suits."

Spike: "What would you say if you gave your suits away and in return you'd never grow old?"

Me: "Suits."

Applejack: "What would you pick, one-million chicks or a single three-piece suit?"

Me: "Its moot."

Fluttershy: "What if world piece was within your reach-"

Me: "Ah-dada, I'm gonna stop you right there…its suits. C'mon, Fluttershy, get your head out your flank.

Two, three, four!"

(With everyone) "Girls with go, and girls will come, but there's only one absolute!

Every bro on the go needs to know that there's no accepted substitute!

I'm sorry suits, lets make amends, my Sunday best are my best friends! Send casual Friday down the laundry chuuuute

'cause nothing suits the undisputed, oft-saluted, suitor of repuuuute…liiiiiike…aaaaaaa…wait for it….

Suuuuuuuuuit!

Nothing suits him liiiiiike aaaaaaa…suuuuuuuuit! (Suit up, suit up, suit up, suit up)

Once the song ended, with everyone in town now wearing suits frozen in their end-song pose, I look around with a smirk on my face. "Then again, she is pretty hot."

-Reality-

Snapping out of my thought with my decision made, I look at Twilight. "Ok Twi, you win." I say, making a please smile grow on her face.

"Great, now lets go before anything else happens to you." Twilight said before we both started making our way out of the room.

But before we could get there, I suddenly felt the familiar pain in my belly. I collapse to the floor and I hold my body tightly. Twilight imminently saw this and rushed to my aid. "Oh, not again." She said.

Rarity and Spike rushed over to us and looked down at me. "What's happening to him?" Rarity asked in a worried voice.

"I think he's gonna change again, like he did before." Spike said as he took a few steps back.

Turns out he was right. Right in front of them, my body started to change. My coat went from purl-white to light-yellow, my mane and tail went from purple to pink, and my Cutie Mark turned from blue to also pink. Once everything was done, I looked up at them with a concerned look on my face. "T-Twilight?" I asked nervously.

Twilight gently brushed her hoof over my body to try and calm me down. "Its ok Matt, you're gonna be ok." She said in a soft voice.

I slowly lean up and look around. "W-Why are you all looking at me like that?" I asked before I noticed a mirror across the room and saw what happened to me. I yelped in shock as I shot upwards and hovered in the air as I looked over my body. "I…I look like…Fluttershy." I said as I looked around my body.

"Its ok, Matt. After today, all these changes will stop and you'll be back to normal, but you need to come back with us to the Library and stay there until the potions effects ware off." Twilight said, motioning her hoof to tell me to come back down.

With that, I slowly flew back down until my hooves were back on the floor. "T-Twi…I'm starting to freak out a little." I say as my body begins to shutter.

"No, no, don't freak out." Twilight said as she walked up beside me and rubbed my back with her hoof, desperate to keep me calm. "We're gonna go back to the Library, nice and slow, and we'll keep you safe until this is all over." She said before she started to gently guide me out of the room. "There we go, one hoof at a time, take slow breathes and don't freak out about anything." She said as we left the room and made our way downstairs.

Spike soon followed behind, leaving Rarity alone in a room full a suits. "…Will somepony tell me what in Celestia is going on!" She shouted, not knowing what just happened or why.

Later that day: Ponyville streets

After we left the boutique, we started making our way back to the Library, but it wasn't easy. Everywhere I looked I saw things that made me more and more nervous, I kept picturing people giving me uncomfortable stares and laughing at me, it didn't help the journey at all.

Twilight noticed the scared look on my face and nudged up against me. "Feeling ok, Matt?" she asked with a warm smile.

I looked at her, quivering while feeling so small. "I'm…I'm ok, I guess…I just…feel like I'm freaking out a little." I said as I tried to keep moving.

"Don't worry, we're going back to the Library now where you'll be safe. Ok?" Twilight said as she kept walking close beside me.

"Yeah, until he turns into whoever is next and takes off again." Spike said, following from behind.

Twilight looked back at him with a firm glare. "Not helping, Spike." She said before returning her attention to me. "When you have your next…umm…personality change, we'll make sure to keep you in the Library this time. We don't need you running off again." She said with a kind smile.

I returned the smile. "Thanks Twilight, I appreciate it." I said before I turned my attention to up ahead. But then, I gasped at what I saw.

It was a small bunny, hopping along the road just as a bunch of busy carriages raced by left and right. Instinct took over and I suddenly shot off towards it, leaving Twilight and Spike in the dust. I flapped by wings as hard and fast as I could until, while dodging the rushing carriages, I grabbed the bunny and flew up into the air with in in my arms. I took a few breaths before I looked down at the bunny and smiled at it. "Now what are you doing in the middle of the road, little bunny?" I said as I rubbed it with my hoof.

I started to flutter back down to the ground with the bunny still in my arms. By the time Twilight and Spike made it across to me, I had already released the bunny to hop back into the wild. "Matt, what was that?" Twilight asked as she watched me land back down onto the ground.

I looked at Twilight with the bunny still in my arms. "Sorry Twi, but this poor bunny was in danger, I couldn't just sit back and let it get hurt." I said before I lowered myself down and released the bunny to let it hop away into the wild.

Twilight sighed in destress before she took a step closer to me. "Matt, I know you have Fluttershy's personality and you probably have a desire to help every animal you come across, but please just let me handle that kind of stuff from now on and don't take off like that again, please?" she said with an almost begging face.

I looked into her eyes and saw how desperate she was to keep me close from now on. I nodded to her. "Ok Twi, I'll try and keep a cool head from now-*Gasp!*" I gasped once I saw the bunny I just saved hopping off into another busy street. "No! Don't go that way! That road is too dangerous too!" I called before I took off into the air after the bunny again, having forgot what Twilight said to me and that I agreed to it.

Twilight and Spike were left with their mouths hanging wide open before Twilight finally broke the stunned silence they were in. "What did I just tell him?! I told him not to go off on his own again!" she said in a frustrated tone before she galloped after me with Spike following behind. "Once this is all over, he is so sleeping on the couch!" she said as they tried to find me again.

Once they reached the street I went into, they saw a lot of ponies, but no sign of me. Spike looked through the street until he saw the bunny I was chasing in a bush beside them. "Hey, isn't this the bunny Matt was chasing?" He asked as he walked up to it.

Twilight looked at it and walked up beside him. "Yeah, but where did Matt go?" She asked as she looked around for me again, but couldn't see me anywhere. But she did see Pinkie Pie across the street with Gummy on a leash, looked like she was walking him, but it was mostly dragging him because he wasn't moving at all. Twilight rushed across the street until she reached her. "Pinkie, did you see Matt here a minute ago?" She asked desperately.

Pinkie turned her head to face her with her usual cheerful smile. "Nope, sorry. But I did see Fluttershy here a moment ago, looked like she did something new with her mane. She was taking care of a bunny over there." She said as she pointed across the street. "But then she turned into Applejack and started rushing off towards Sweet Apple Aches. Hmm, come to think of it, it was kinda odd." She said as she thought more into it.

"Ya think?" Twilight said with an unsurprised look over Pinkie's simple mindedness. Without anything further to say, Twilight turned and galloped down the street in the direction toward Sweet Apple Aches. Spike caught up to her and struggled to keep up with her speed so he managed to leap onto her back so he could ride her back. "Don't you think we should've told Pinkie what was going on?" He asked.

As she kept galloping, Twilight turned her head around to look back at him. "Later Spike, we have no time to lose. Matt is changing faster now. It probably won't be long before he turns into someone else and runs off again." She said before she turned her head back around and kept rushing to her destination.

"If you say so." Spike responded as he just simply rode on her back as they left the town.

Later: Sweet Apple Aches

After they arrived at Sweet Apple Aches, Twilight and Spike wasted no time in heading towards the barn to look for me. "Matt! Are you here?" Twilight called as she looked around. They looked all over, but couldn't find me anywhere. Spike looked at Twilight with a confused look. "Think Pinkie was having another sugar hallucination?" He asked, starting to think Pinkie may have just been seeing things again.

Twilight was actually starting to think the same thing until she heard someone enter the barn. She and Spike turned around to see Applejack coming in with a worn-out look on her face until she saw Twilight and Spike. "Well, I was wonderin' when you two were gonna show up." She said as she walked up to them.

Twilight met her halfway with a concerned look on her face. "Oh no, let me guess. Matt's out there in your orchard and he looks just like you?" She said, making a pretty obvious guess as to what was wrong.

Applejack was a little bit surprised by her guess, but not that much. "Guess ya already know what's goin' on. Good, 'cause I'm totally lost." She said before she turned and started making her way out of the barn. "Follow me." She said as she headed back towards the orchard. Twilight and Spike followed her.

Once the three of them reached the orchard, they looked out at the thousands of trees and saw me rushing to each of them and bucking them with mu hind-legs. My coat was now orange, my mane & tail were yellow, and my Cutie Mark was now red. I went to each apple-filled tree I could find and bucked it hard, making the apples it held drop down into baskets below. I was doing such a fast and smooth job that Big Mac was having trouble keeping up, he panted heavily as he tried to get some of his own work mixed in with harvest, but I was taking most of it from him.

Applejack, Twilight and Spike continued to watch me go as they spoke. "I don't know what's goin' on, but he just showed up outta no-where and wanted to be part of the harvest. He didn't tell me why or why he suddenly decided to look like me, but he just went right ahead and started workin'. I'll admit, he's doin' a mighty fine job, but this is kinda weird." Applejack said as she continued to watch me work.

Twilight then grew a firm face. "I'll talk to him, be ready with your lasso in case he tries to run." She said before she started making her way over to me with Spike jumping off her back to give us some privacy. Once she reached me, she cleared her throat to get my attention. "*Clears throat* Well, this is the exact opposite of taking off by yourself." She said with an unpleased voice.

I stopped working and turned to face her. "Oh hey Twilight, where did you come from?" I asked before I answered her question. "Yeah, sorry about that, I remember helping a bunny...then...I just suddenly wanted to come here and do some of the harvest work. Don't know why, but now that I'm here doing it, I feel so much better." I said as I walked up to a tree and gave it a hard buck, making the apples in it fall down into some more baskets.

Twilight used her magic to pick me up and levitate me over to her before placing me down in front of her. "Well even though that's very thoughtful of you, I'm sure Applejack and Big Mac have it covered, so you can come back with me to the Library...finally." She said.

"Well I'd love to Twi, but as you can see, we've barely made a dent in this orchard. Applejack's gonna need all the help she can get to get all of the apples." I said before my new instinct took over and I started making my way back to bucking the trees. As I prepared to start working again, I was suddenly caught in a lasso and pulled away. I landed onto the ground as I struggled in tight rope, I looked to where it came from and saw Applejack had the other end of the rope in her mouth, she pulled me back towards her and Twilight until I was just in front of them.

"Sorry Matt, but we tried to do this the easy way." Twilight said before her horn glowed and I suddenly glowing too. I then began to feel sleepy until I closed my eyes and I drifted off to sleep.

Spike looked down at me and then gave Twilight an impressed look. "A sleeping spell, should've probably dome that sooner." He said before he returned his attention down to me.

"I didn't think we'd need to use one." Twilight said as she gently rubbed my head with her hoof. "Now we just need to get him back to the Library." She said before she picked me up in her magic and started walking away with me hovering above her.

Applejack saw the struggle she was in to keep me afloat, so she walked up beside Twilight with a small smile. "I know ya probably have it covered, but I have a better idea on how to get him back." She said, gaining Twilight's attention with interest.

Later: Ponyville streets

Applejack pulled a small wagon alone with Twilight, Spike and me riding in the back. I was still asleep and tired up as we got closer to the Library. Twilight looked at Applejack with a grateful smile. "Thanks again for this, Applejack. It would've been a bit harder walking him all the way back here with my magic." She said, feeling that she should've done something like this sooner.

"No problem, Twilight." Applejack said as she turned her head around to face her as she kept walking. "But can ya now tell me why Matt's lookin' and actin' like me?" She asked, feeling that by now she must've earned some kind of explanation.

"It's kind of a long story, I don't even know the full thing yet. I know it had something to do with a potion that he took to try and make himself less angry." Twilight said as she kept following beside Applejack back to the Library.

All the while, I started to wake up and scan my surroundings. "Wha...where am I? What happened to the orchard?" I asked as I tried to lean up, but found myself tied up tightly. "What in tarnation?" I say as I try to break loose from the rope.

Spike jumped up onto the wagon with me and placed his claw on my chest. "Take it easy, matt. We're taking you home, you're gonna get some rest to try and sleep-out the effects of that potion you drank." he said, trying to explain calmly.

I managed to sit up while still trying to break out of the rope. "But the orchard still needs to be bucked, we're behind and Cider Season is just around the corner." I said before I started to try and bite my way loose, grabbing the rope with my teeth and grinding them against it.

Applejack looked back at me with a firm face. "You let me and the rest of the Apples worry about Cider Season, we need to get you home and keep ya from hurtin' yourself." she said before she turned her head back around to face the path ahead.

"Oh since when do I ever hurt myself?" I said, not recalling a single time that's ever happened. This earned a bunch of rolling eyes from the three as we kept moving. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my body again and I grunted. "Ah! Oh god! Ahh!" I throw myself back in the wagon as I struggle around.

Applejack and Twilight looked back at me in panic before Applejack looked at Twilight. "W-What's goin' on? Are my ropes too tight or somethin'?" She asked, scared that she might have hurt me.

Twilight looked at her and shook her head. "No, he did this earlier, just before he changed into one of us. He's gonna change and he might get away again. We have to get him back to the Library before that happens." She said. With that, Applejack took off with Twilight following beside her just as fast, Spike gripped onto the side of the wagon for dear life as he watched me thrust around in the ropes.

As the wagon rushed down the streets, I yelled more as my coat turned from orange to pink, my mane and tail turned from yellow to dark pink, and my Cutie Mark turned from red to dark blue. Once the transformation was complete, my eyes shot open and both my mane and tail puffed up.

"Oh no." Spike said with wide-eyes as I leaned up with a large grin on my face.

Twilight and Applejack came to a stop before they turned around to see what all the ruckus was about and were shocked to see me, now looking exactly like Pinkie, staring right at them with a wide smile while still tied up. "Hey guys! Are we still heading for the Library? Can we make a pit-stop first? Somewhere like the Arcade? The party store? Oh, I know, lets go to Sugar Cube Corner! I could go for some soda, or some candy, or a good cupcake, Pinkie makes the best there is!" I said in a fast-eager tone.

Twilight gained a look of panic as she saw the result of my latest transformation. "Matt, please calm down, we have to get you back to the Library to keep you safe." She said, hoping I would comply.

But of course, the hyper energy inside me didn't let me. "Aww, but that's no fun, I wanna go see if Pinkie needs an extra pair of hooves." I said before I tried to break out of the ropes again. "Get off me, devil rope!" I said to the rope as I struggled to break loose.

Applejack smirked. "Don't bother, Matt. That's an Apple rope-tie, there's no-way your gonna break out of it." She said as she turned her head back around and kept moving down the road with Twilight following beside her, also turning away.

"Urr guys." Spike said as he came up to the front of the wagon. "That didn't stop him."

Twilight and Applejack turned back around to see what he meant, but were shocked to see that I was gone. "What the?!" Applejack exclaimed with a surprised look. They both then looked behind the wagon to see that while I was still tied up, I was making my way back down the street by hopping on my now puffy, and rather springy, tail. "Oh dag-nabit!" Applejack said before she grabbed the harness around her body with her mouth and pulled it to loosen it enough to detach the wagon from her body. "C'mon, we better catch 'im."

With that, the three of them rushed back down the street to catch up with me, even though I had now somehow gotten a great head start from them.

Sometime later: Sugar Cube Corner

Having somehow lost me, Twilight and the others searched around town for me, or anything that would indicate where I had been. The best they found was a pile of broken ropes, which Applejack imminently identified as her lasso rope. They then decided to try and think where Pinkie would go, which led each of them to the same answer. They all then arrived at Sugar Cube Corner, where it looked like business was booming, a crowd of ponies were gathered in front of the store as they eagerly awaited to enter.

Twilight was the first to reach the back of the crowd and saw a stallion in front of her. "What's going on?" She asked curiously.

The stallion turned around and smiled at her. "There's a new employee in Sugar Cube Corner, they're making new recipes faster than they can sell them, so some are going for free!" he explained before he returned his attention to trying to get inside.

"Let me guess, the new employee looks like Pinkie but a guy?" Twilight asked, like she even needed to ask.

"I heard something like that, yeah." The stallion said without taking his eyes away from the entrance that he was slowly heading towards step by step.

Twilight then turned around to face Applejack and Spike, she walked back up to them with a puzzled look. "Matt is in there, but these ponies aren't gonna just let us cut ahead of them." She said, wondering if anyone one had an idea on how to get through.

"Can't you just teleport us inside?" Spike asked, thinking it was the quickest way in.

Twilight looked down at him. "I can't Spike, I might make us re-appear right in the middle of the crowd." She said.

"What if we just explain what's going on and tell them how important it is to get in?" Spike suggested.

"To all of those ponies?" Twilight said as she looked at the large number of ponies in the crowd. "That would take too long. Besides, how many would believe us?" She said before she returned her attention to Spike, whom had run out of ideas at this point.

"Guys, doesn't this place have a backdoor?" Applejack asked curiously. Twilight and Spike looked at each other as they remembered that there was indeed a backdoor to the store which led right into the kitchen. With a smirk from both of them, the three of them started making their way around the store until they reached the backdoor, thankfully with no other ponies thinking the same way as they do.

They all then entered the store and looked around to see the kitchen was a mess. Dirty cake-trays piled up in the sink, flower and doe were all over the table and freshly baked goods were stacked up on top of each other ready to be sent out to the front of the store. That's when they saw Pinkie in front of the table, holding a mixing bowl and mixing like crazy, she looked like she was ready to drop. "Hurry Gummy, we need all the help we can get!" She said as she looked over to Gummy, whom just stood on the table next to a box of eggs which he just randomly licked.

Twilight walked up to Pinkie and tapped her shoulder with her hoof, earning a yelp from Pinkie as she nearly dropped the bowl. Pinkie turned around to see the look of sorrow on Twilight's face. "Sorry Pinkie, I didn't mean to startle you." She said.

Pinkie then smiled at her. "Its ok Twilight." She said before her panic face imminently came back. "But I don't have time to talk, the business is on fire and orders are coming in like crazy." She said before she suddenly grabbed a bag of chocolate-chips and shoved them into Twilight's possession. "Here, stare putting these in those bowls over there! Those cookies are one of our top orders." She said before she quickly went back to work.

Twilight used her magic to pass the chocolate-chips to Spike before she returned her attention to Pinkie. "Pinkie, does Matt have anything to do with this?" She asked, feeling as though she already knew the answer.

Pinkie turned to face her as she kept mixing rapidly. "Ogf, you have no idea. When he first came in, I was really excited, it was like having a clone brother, but then he started making food and the customers really liked it, so he made more. Soon enough he made more than we could sell, we have to give some away for free, which of course brought more ponies in with new orders. We're struggling to keep up." She explained.

Suddenly, Mr Cake came through the doors that led to the front. "Pinkie, we've got another order of muffins." He said, looking as tired as she was.

Pinkie looked at him with a devastated look. "But we ran out of the ingredients for those." She said.

"I'm on it." Mrs Cake said as she rushed past Mr Cake to enter the kitchen, she then ran past Twilight and the others to leave the building, most likely to buy more ingredients from somewhere else.

Twilight then returned her attention to Pinkie with a firm look. "Don't worry, Pinkie, I'll get Matt out of her and back home." She said before she made her way towards the doors that led to the front.

"Please do, I don't think Gummy and I can last much longer." Pinkie said as she started mixing faster while Gummy slowly flopped onto his side, presumably in exhaustion.

Twilight then entered the front of the store and saw the crowd of ponies gathered in the front of the room. She then saw me at the front of the counter with a bag in my mouth. I placed it on the counter and tapped the bell with my hoof to get everyone's attention. "Order eighty-six is up, two cupcakes and a lollipop for the stallion with the puffy hair." I said as I pointed at the pony I was talking about, a brown pony with a large afro mane with a hair comb stuck in it.

As I gave him his order, I suddenly feel an unknow force grab my ear and pull on it. "Ow! Ow! Ow!" I said as I let it drag me to where it was taking me. When it stopped, I looked to see it was Twilight using her magic. "Again with the ear? You're gonna break something if you keep doing it."

"Then stop making me do it!" Twilight said firmly. "Matt, I know you're not yourself because of the potion you drank, I know your urges that come with your transformations overpower you too much for you to control, but enough is enough! You're working Pinkie and the Cakes to their bones and this needs to stop." She said while stomping one of her front-hooves on the floor.

"But..." I said in an attempt to speak my part.

"No Matt! I tried to be kind, I tried to be firm, but that didn't work. So now I'm mad! Matt, you're gonna leave the store and march right back to the Library and stay there until we fix this or you're gonna think the time I kicked you out of the house was me being nice. Understand?!" She said, gaining the silent attention of everyone in the store.

"...Yes honey..." I said before I walked past her with my ears down in fear.

With that, Twilight gathered everyone else and we all left the store, letting Pinkie and the others fix the mess I made.

A while later: Library

As the sun began to set over the horizon, Twilight and the others finally managed to get me back to the Library. I was still in my Pinkie form, much to their relief due to me taking off every time I changed. Once we were back, Applejack decided to leave this to us and took off back home, hoping for the best.

I was immediately locked in Twilight's study room to keep me from running off again. After a while, the door was unlocked and Twilight came in with a salad held in her magic. "Hey, I brought you some food in case you were hungry." She said with a kind smile as she placed the bowl down in front of me.

I looked down at it and smiled at her. "Thanks Twilight." I said before I took a bite of a leaf in it and chewed it up. Once I swallowed it, I looked at her again. "How long do I have to stay in here?" I asked curiously.

"Until midnight, that's when the potion you had wares off. Once you're back to normal, you can come out." Twilight said with an assuring smile.

My ears dropped at the thought of that happening. "Back to normal...you mean back to being overpowered by the dark magic inside me?" I said, remembering how I slashed out at Fluttershy the other day.

Twilight's smile then went away. "We'll...find a way to help you with that, Matt...I promise." She said, wanting me to know she'll be there for me.

"I could feel it, you know...I could feel it changing me, making me darker, more hateful. I couldn't bare it if I had hurt anyone because of it. You, Spike...Amy." I said as I looked into Twilight's eyes. "I had to find a way to counter it...this potion seemed like a good idea at the time." I said as I looked down at the floor in shame.

Twilight moved closer to me and placed her hoof on my shoulder. "Its ok, Matt. We'll get you through this, and then we'll help you with that dark magic." She said with a heart filled smile.

I returned it, but the moment was interrupted when Spike suddenly came into the room. "Is he back to normal yet?" He asked curiously.

Twilight was about to answer, but was cut off when I felt a strong pain in my belly again and clenched my body with my arms as I yelled and groaned in pain. They both looked at me with worried looks as I fell to the floor and yelled louder. "Oh no, not again." Twilight said as she watched me, unable to do anything to help.

I continued to groan in pain as my pink fur suddenly turned blue, my mane and tail went flat and turned from dark pink to multiple rainbow-like colours, and my Cutie Mark turned from blue to rainbow-like. Once my body had finished transforming, I stopped my pain-filled noises and opened my eyes. I leaned up and shook off my dazed feeling. "Whow, what a rush." I said as I help my head with one of my front-hooves.

"Matt, are you ok?" Spike asked as he walked up to me with a concerned look.

I looked down at him and smiled. "I feel great, little buddy...awesome in fact." I said, feeling a surge of energy flow through me. I started flapping my wings to take off into the air. "I feel like I could take on the world!" I said.

Twilight looked up at me with worry. "Matt, I think you're getting a little too over-excited." She said as she watched me fly around the room.

I looked down at her as I continued to fly, trying to burn off a need to move. "Sorry Twi, but I can't help it, I never knew Rainbow was so on-the-go so strongly. I need to do something, I need to burn off some steam." I said before I stopped and looked out the window. "Whow...look at all those clouds...so many of them...too many...I think someone needs to go up and give them a good bucking." I said before I started trying to open the window.

Upon seeing this, Twilight used her magic to grab me by my tail and yank me down towards her. "No way, we said you had to stay here until the potion wears off, you have to resist what its trying to make you do." She said with a firm look.

I looked back at her and gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Twi. I'll be back in a few seconds, I have a feeling it will only take that long." I said with a cocky tone before I started flying up towards the window again.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light and Discord appeared in the room holding Amy in his arms. "I cannot do this anymore, I have been stuck with your foal all day and I've never worked so hard in...ever!" He said with wide tired eyes. He then floated Amy down to Spike, whom had trouble holding her once he had her in his grasp. "Amy is your kid, you should've wanted her back as soon as you came home!" Discord said before he sighed heavily in exhaustion. "I'm going to sleep for the next...year...try to keep it down all the while, please!" He said before he suddenly disappeared in another bright light.

After that, Amy looked around and saw me flying towards the window. She giggled as she stretched her hooves up to try and reach me. I heard her noises and looked down to see what she was doing, I gave her a warm smile as I hovered in mid-air. "Aww, I've missed you too, sweetheart. But I need to go do something right now, I'll be back soon though." I said before I hovered over to the window.

While I grabbed the window and tried to open it, Amy's smile went away and her eyes became glisten. Once I finally managed to get the window, I heard whimpering and looked back down to see Amy looking at me with an upset look. I frowned once I saw that face. "Sorry Amy, but I need to..." I stopped as Amy's whimpers became louder, she looked like she was going to lose it.

"Amy please, you know I don't like it when you-" I stopped once again when I saw Amy's eyes start to water and she desperately reached her hooves up to me.

An aching part of me couldn't bare it any longer, I couldn't just ditch Amy at a time like this. I hovered back down to the ground and walked up to Spike. Once I reached him, I gently took Amy from him in my arms and held her close. "Its ok Amy...your Dad isn't going to leave you..." I said as I hugged her, getting a loving nuzzle from her.

Spike walked over to Twilight as they both smiled warmly at the sight of us. "To think that's all we needed to do all day." Spike said as they both continued to watch us.

The next morning

Twilight And the others waited long into the night outside of the study room. Twilight had boarded up the window so I wasn't tempted to leave through it. As Midnight approached, they heard me constantly change forms and act in different ways because of it. But once midnight finally came and passed, they heard me change one final time and entered the room to see me passed out on the floor, back to my natural look and free of the potions effects. They then carried me up to bed where I rested for the remainder of the night

As morning came, I woke up feeling like I was thrown against a wall and groaned as I leaned up. I looked beside me to see Twilight wasn't beside me, I got out of the bed and made my way down into the living room where I saw Twilight and Spike talking to each other. Twilight gave Spike a scroll with her magic, which he immediately set on fire and the smoke cloud it made flew out an open window. "And now we play the waiting game." Spike said with a strong confident smile.

I then walked up behind them and groaned as I felt my head throb. "Guys...can one of you tell me what the hell happened yesterday?" I asked, dropping my flank to the floor as I felt a strong need to sit down.

Twilight and Spike turned around and smiled upon seeing me. "Morning Matt." Twilight said before she gave me a questioning look. "You don't remember what happened?" She asked, sounding a bit surprised.

"I remember drinking that potion Spike and I made, then...nothing...did I pass out?" I asked, thinking that was how I ended up in my bed.

"Ha! Yeah right." Spike said in a blurt. "You basically turned into Twilight and the rest of our friends and went on a hobby rampage, doing the things they'd normally do, but just crazier." He explained, sparing no detail.

Upon hearing this, a part of me didn't really believe it. But one look at the face Twilight was giving me and I knew it was true. I felt a bit shocked, but at the same time a little embarrassed. If it was as bad as they were telling me, I probably had a lot of explaining and apologies to give. "Really? That bad?" I sighed as I looked at the ground. "Great, now I'm the laughing stock of the town and the dark magic I was trying to counter is probably still inside me...I just wanted to be better for all of you" I said, feeling it was all probably for nothing.

Twilight then walked up to me and placed her hoof on my shoulder. "I know you felt like you needed to do that, but you didn't need to. You don't have to be better to be good enough for us, and you definitely don't need a potion to help you do that, you're perfect the way you are. We all love you and would love no-one better." She said with a warm smile.

I returned it as I looked at her. "Thanks Twi." I said before a troubling thought returned to my mind. "But the dark magic is still inside me...it could make me blow at any time I get angry or frustrated...I can't ask any of you to put up with that." I said.

"Don't worry, we've got that covered." Twilight said with a confident smile, making me wonder what she meant.

At that moment, Spike's cheeks bulged up and he burped out a small cloud of smoke that turned into a scroll. Once it fell to the floor, Spike picked it up and unravelled it to read it. "Celestia replied to our message." He said to us before he began to read what it said. "Dear Twilight, I find it very troubling that Matt is suffering from the effects of the dark magic possessing him. Be sure that I will see to it that we find a way to remove it immediately. In the meantime, here is an artefact to keep Matthew from losing control." He read before something fell from the bottom of the scroll.

We all looked down at it to see it was a black colour with some strange silver markings on it. "Is that a Dark-Counter collar? I thought those things were just myths." Spike said as he leaned down and picked it up.

"A what?" I asked as I lowered my head down to get a better look at it.

"A Dark-Counter collar." Twilight repeated before she turned her attention to me. "I've never seen one before. Legend has it that they can fend off the effects of dark magic, keep it locked away inside you to make sure it doesn't affect you physically anymore." She explained.

"So this thing will keep the dark magic inside me from coming out again?" I asked before I looked at it again. "How long do I have to ware it?" I asked, giving the collar all sorts of thoughts.

"Until we can get that dark magic out of you. But don't worry, it has a trick to it." Twilight said as Spike walked up to me and reached the collar up to my neck.

Spike then attacked to collar to me before I raised my head up and looked down at it. Once it was one, I suddenly felt any irritated or frustrated feelings suddenly went away, making me feel so much lighter. I smile before I looked down at the collar and saw it suddenly vanish. "Hey, where'd it go?" I asked.

"That's the trick. To keep the comfort, the collar vanishes and makes itself practically un-feelable to the wearer. You almost forget that you're even wearing it after a while." Spike explained.

He was right, I couldn't feel it at all, like it wasn't even there. Now I could live without worrying about the dark magic taking over me and exploding in front of everyone. I returned my attention to Twilight and Spike and gave them loving smiles. "I can always count of you guys to help me through anything, can't I?" I said.

"Always." Twilight said as she walked up to me and hugged me with one of her front-legs. I returned it before we pulled away and I looked into her eyes. We leaned in close to each other, but before we could do anything, there was a sudden knock on the door.

Spike went over to it and opened it to reveal the rest of our friends standing outside. "Hey guys, we figured Matt was back to normal now, so can ya tell us what the hay happened yesterday?" Applejack asked with the rest of our friends eager to hear the answer.

I stared at them and gave them a nervous smile and laugh. "Ahaha...right...you guys might want to come in." I said, preparing to tell them what was going it. This was gonna take a while.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter!

Fina-fucking-lly! I never thought I'd reach the end of this one. Remind me to Two-part it next time! Again, I am so unbelievably sorry about the delay. I know this has taken longer than it should have, I can't promise that I'll do better, but I can promise something else. Starting soon, I will make shorts to this fic in a separate one, giving you all small chapters to read while a I'm working on the next one. Hopefully that will make up for this.

The song I used in this chapter is called "Nothing suites me like a suit." from the TV show called "How I met your mother". I don't own anything.

No Pony News that no-one already knows.

Please remember to review or PM

Next chapter, or short, will be up as soon as possible.
