And there he was.

He had always been there, she supposed, although she wondered how long it had taken him to realize she was standing there before his head looked up slightly and the light hit the top of his head. His tears became glistened in the light streaming in from the blinds. He's so weak and hopeless.

"Violet…?" Tate said, his eyes looking up into her emotionless face.

She had always hidden her emotions from anything that required her to show some kind of feeling. She tried to look like she cared about him, but her face remained blank. She truly had become a ghost.

His figure stood up slowly, and her eyes followed his as he became taller than her. He could easily overpower her; kill her. That is, if he wanted to. But the fact of the matter was that she had really killed him instead. Not even physically, but mentally. She deepened his pain, and he made her almost psychotic. They fit but they didn't. It was like a puzzle piece that was supposed to go together, but the ends just didn't fit.

She didn't quite know what to say, so instead she pursed her lips and looked down. "Violet, please say something. Anything." Tate pleaded with her, trying to get something out of her.

"Tate." was her only response that she thought fit. Her jaw locked on her, she felt herself almost sweating. Why was it so hard to take him back? Why couldn't she just say she loved him? Her mouth didn't want to move, something made her feel like this was degrading her. She felt like it was like saying she couldn't spend eternity without him.

Tate shifted his weight uncomfortably, and he sighed. "Do you need something?" he said coldly. He got to a lower level to look at her face, which she turned away from. "Fine." Tate passed by her and started to walk out.

No, you can't let him go. As if on que, she grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to her, reaching her hand to cup his face and kiss him. Her lips pushed into his face, not even thinking about what this meant for Tate, or for her. She slowly pulled away, searching Tate's face. Her stayed expressionless because she wanted to see what he thought first before deciding her reaction. Also, she had no idea what to even feel.

He looked at her, but his reaction was something she had never seen. He was sad, but surprised. He seemed a little happy and confused. "I-y-no-I don't…" his words seemed to come out in jumbles.

"I just want you back, okay? I love you." Violet knew that everything had depended on her at that moment. She had to say something or he would have walked away. Tate nodded his head and smiled, kissing her cheek and intertwining his fingers with hers.

And now they were together, forever.
