"Stuck-up!"

"Pig-headed!"

"Prissy!"
"Arrogant!"

Twin growls of frustration interrupted what was supposed to be a quiet Fire Ferret training session. And it had been, too, until Asami had shown up to watch Mako train and Korra had accidentally-on-purpose sprayed water in her face.

With a sigh of his own, Mako turned to Bolin, who was focusing on practicing some new moves and intently ignoring the screaming coming from the hall.

"I don't get it Bo; why do they have to fight all the time?"

Bolin played with an earth disk, bouncing it around in the air. "For the same reason you used to pull Jin Xiao's pigtails in second grade. Personally, I think Korra just missed out on that whole phase, being at the South Pole and all, and she's making up for it now."

"But I- you think Korra likes Asami? No way!"

"Hey bro, I call it like I see it."

"And who was the person Asami asked to dinner? Oh yeah. Me!"

"Just 'cause she hit you with her cycle."

"Whatever. Your just jealous because I get all the cute girls."

Bolin grinned, punching the disk into a net at the far end of the room. "Care to place a friendly wager on that?"

"With whose yuan?"

"How about loser has to clean the training room for two weeks?"

"You're on. I hope you'll enjoy it when I'm going out with Asami."

Bolin leaned close to Mako and whispered conspiratorially, "Ok, here's what we'll do..."

"Hey Korra, I'm working on a new move for the tournament, mind sparring with me a bit?"
Korra was sulking outside with Naga after her fight with Asami. Really, she thought, sparring would be a great way to get rid of some of the tension she always felt as soon as the other woman walked into the room. She didn't even know what it was, really, just that somehow Asami Sato seemed to get under her skin with a single look.

"Sure Bolin, sounds good." She followed him into the training room, not noticing that Mako and Asami were already there until it was too late.

"Ugh. Shouldn't you be training Mako?" Korra scowled at Asami. Why couldn't she just leave them alone? They had the first round of the tournament coming up, after all. There was no reason she needed to keep coming by and throwing Mako off. Asami just smiled sweetly at Korra, being careful to make sure the Avatar noticed her touching Mako's arm.

"Um, yeah, I just – needed to talk to Bolin for a second." Not being dumb or suicidal, Mako hurried to get out of the line of fire, joining Bolin just behind Korra. Bolin gave him a wink and Mako thought that maybe just not being between them wasn't enough. Maybe this would work better if he was in another room. Or across the city.

Unfortunately, Mako had no chance to escape as Bolin twisted his foot slightly and the ground buckled under Korra, sending her flying into Asami. They landed in a tangle of limbs, but when the dust cleared, Korra was straddling Asami on her hands and knees, with barely a breath of air between their bodies. Korra's dark face seemed to shade darker, while Asami's pale cheeks were rosy with a slight blush. Neither of the women made a move to get up.

"Asami?" Korra's voice was soft, questioning. A hush had fallen over the room, the two bending brothers scared to make a move lest they disturb...whatever was going on.

Asami's green eyes darted around Korra's face, settling on her lips as she unconsciously licked her own, her chest pressing against Korra's with every breath. Overwhelmed with sensation, her eyes fluttered closed, only to widen a moment later as soft lips pressed against hers. With a small, happy sigh, Asami threw her arms around Korra's body, drawing her flush against her body as they collapsed to the floor.

Mako's mouth hung open, but Bolin helpfully put an arm around him and led him from the room to give the two girls some privacy.

"But-how-what?"

"Mako my man, let me tell you about something called 'unresolved sexual tension.'"
