Playdate
"Ohayo," Mikoto greeted softly, carrying a small boy on her hip as she closed the door behind her.
"Ohayo Mikoto!" The other woman greeted brightly, ushering the little girl behind her legs into the living room and gesturing for Mikoto to follow her in.
Collapsing on the sofa, Mebuki watched as Sakura watched shyly from the floor as Mikoto placed Sasuke down beside her.
The women had met whilst shopping a few months ago and since then, it seemed they tended to bump into each other quite frequently.
After a rushed greeting in the street last week, with two irritable children between them, Mebuki had suggested that the Uchiha matriarch come to her home for tea.
At the time, she hadnt been sure of what to expect, being that Mikoto was from such a prestigious clan and the blonde wasnt sure if it was proper etiquette to give such an invite but the quieter woman had accepted happily nonetheless.
So here they were.
Mikoto slowly sat in the space beside the other mother, her own dark eyes trained on the toddlers in front of them, a soft smile on her lips.
Little Sakura blinked at the other small boy, the toddler placing clumsy steps over to him and raising her small chubby fingers to the back of his head, playing with the spikes there, a delighted smile breaking over her face as she did so.
Sasuke pulled his head away from her in return, a small smile playing on his face as he reached for her own hair, prodding it slightly.
"Pink," The boy said, turning to his mother with a few strands of Sakura's blossom coloured hair between his fingertips, his face one of both confusion and awe.
Mikoto smiled fondly at the children whilst Mebuki giggled, leaning towards the little boy.
"Hai, Sakura's hair is pink." She spoke cheerfully to the little boy.
Leaning back to hold a hand in front of her mouth, Mebuki murmured cynically to the woman beside her, "She gets that peculiar colour from her father," She sighed, "Lets hope she's pretty when she's older, ne?"
Mikoto let out a small melodic laugh, tilting her head at the two children playing in front of them.
"I'm sure she will be," She replied, soft coal eyes sweeping over the little girl in front of her.
"Sas-kay." The girl mumbled at the boy, poking him on the nose.
A bright smile fell over Sasuke's face as his eyes flitted back to his mother for a moment before returning to the girl, seemingly pleased that she knew his name.
"Sakra." He blinked, poking her on the forehead as his big brother often did to him. Sakura giggled happily in response.
Mebuki and Mikoto exchanged a look, before their eyes returned to their children now playing happily together on the floor.
"I hope your son grows up to be a gentleman," Mebuki remarked quietly, offering a teasing smile to the woman beside her, making her laugh lightly.
"Dont worry," Mikoto replied, eyes never leaving the pair, "I'll make sure he is."
Maybe this can be a cute little ending thing maybe :') Since I dont know how much I'll be updating this (if at all) from now on!
