You became your best after you reached your lowest.

There's new power in your veins, you can feel it. It fills you to your brink, but it doesn't overflow. You feel…right, like you're exactly where you're supposed to be.

Everyone is eating dinner together in your family's hut. The atmosphere is loud and happy, but you find that for once you'd rather listen to the conversation going on around you then to try to join in. You keep your mouth closed and smile down at your plate. You can't eat; you're too excited, too nervous.

You'll be heading back to Republic City soon in order to restore the bending to all the people who Amon stole it from. It means you'll be reunited with people like Tahno, and all of Lin's metalbending force.

Your foot bounces against the floor. You're itching to leave, to go and do your duty as a fully realized Avatar.

You look up and glance over at the other side of the table and see Mako watching you with fondness. A blush creeps into your cheeks and suddenly you feel a bit shy, but in a good way. You've already made him promise to come hang out with you after dinner. The two of you need one on one time without a mission looming over your heads. You feel like there's so much the two of you need to talk about, and the idea of spending a lot of alone time with him makes your palms sweat and your heart speed up with giddiness.

He's yours now, and you're his too.

It's a good feeling.

You can't sleep that night, even though you're in a bed that was yours for years before you left for Republic City. You should be sleeping, you're pretty exhausted, emotionally and physically.

But you can't. You sit up and pull on your parka and then you're stepping outside and into the snow. The moon shines down on you and you look up at her with wide and appreciative eyes.

You know you have a tough road ahead; being the Avatar will never be easy.

But for the first time in perhaps forever, you feel as if you're ready to face your own journey.

A/N:

How about that finale? Perhaps there were a few things that could've been improved upon (like Amon's big reveal and Korra randomly getting her airbending), but I enjoyed it as a whole.

This final installment raps up this little drabble series of mine. I hope everyone liked it! It really helped me get a sense for all the characters, plus it was fun.
