Hey guys, I published this chapter before, but the lines separating the POVS didn't work. So OoOo is a POV break. The four POVs; are third person, Angela, and Scott, and Steve in this chapter. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I hope you enjoy. Is everyone still there? Please leave some constructive criticism. So please take 15 seconds to review. Review, review, review. I haven't really gotten reviews in forever and I'm feeling a little insecure in my story lol. Madeline is a strawberry blonde. Yes, clues will be dropping in.
"So, you got the stuff?" asked Johnny. The whole group met up in the lost almost at 5 minutes after each group.
"We did," Angela nodded firmly. Johnny took a closer look at his friend and noticed that she looked a little shaky and scared. Then he took a look at all of them and asked what happened?
"Some things happened," whispered Madeline, as if someone was eavesdropping. The pretty strawberry blonde haired girl was terrified. She didn't know what to think of the current events. Instead she sucked it up and told her friends about what happened to her and Angela.
"It was majorly creepy. I felt like I was in that movie Strangers or something. On the bright side, we got files on possible murder suspects," she said as she handed the files to Johnny.
"We have a reason to believe that you're in danger to Johnny".
"Shocker, I think we're all in danger, if you must know". Johnny turned the page to David's file. Johnny looked so focused. He just wanted to be done with it all before anyone else got hurt.
"What-How?" Johnny asked in shock as he looked up. He couldn't comprehend what he was seeing.
"Why is David here?" Curly asked as he looked over the puppy like boy's shoulder.
"It says he has a record, but they didn't put any real details about it on there".
"The shoe size that guy was wearing. It had to look like an 11. If David's shoe size is close to 11 and if he has those black boots in his closet, he will be our guy. I guarantee you," Madeline said. She was trying to convince not just herself, but all of them. Her voice was full of need and desperation. She didn't know what to do or think. Wandering who was gonna kick the bucket next.
Madeline looks Curly straight in the eye as she shrugged.
"It is what it is. If he was the one there, that is our guy or at least a connection. Man I bet that piece of shit killed Pony this whole time, pretending to get close to him so he could stab him in the back". Maddy's fit of rage was coming out. When she got started, she got started.
"Madeline, calm yourself and keep a cool head. Okay, so the killer's David. I say we get him to confess to the cops and book him," Angela said. She tossed her long black wavy locks over her shoulders as if she were superior and the killer had nothing on her. Madeline looked at her friend in awe. Angela freaking Shepherd was supposed to be fearless; untouchable.
That's the way she used to act before Ponyboy got killed anyways. None of them were acting like themselves.
"It's not that simple Angela," Jake said as he looked out into the street. It was a little cold and windy that night. His eyes glassy and hard, taking in nature, as if a sign would pop out at him. "We have absolutely no solid proof".
"That's not gonna work Madeline. Not completely but it is a good start". Jake turned and looked his girlfriend straight in the eye. "Besides, we have bigger problems".
He walked over to the rickety bench by the tree and dumped his contents on it. They key, photos,
"What happened to them also happened to us," Jake confessed. He went on to tell them about the morgue, the head, the pictures, the notes, and the person in the hospital staring at them.
"Okay, you guys got the worst of it," Madeline confessed as she looked freaked out.
"Okay now we need to figure out our next step in this," Jake said. Johnny nodded.
"Wait a minute. Just hold on a second. I say we let the cops handle this shit and stay defended. We're not detectives or some shit. This bigger than any of us," Madeline countered. As much as Curly hated to seem weak, he agreed.
As her friends argued, Angela turned to look at the night sky. As if it would give her some wisdom. Then something caught her eye. She could've sworn she saw a glow of black hair.

I turned back around after I saw the faint glare.
"If we are going to look into this, we got to call our brothers. Tell them we're staying at a friend's place a little away from town to get away from all of this". The others looked uncertain of my plan, but nodded in confirmation.
Madeline got up and ran into the fog to the payphone.
"Know what I don't understand?" asked Johnny. "If we left at the same time, about 5 miles away from each other, how did you guys all see the figure watching over you? It's impossible to be at the place at the same time for a human". That got us all thinking.
I suddenly froze.
"Wait, so there's more than one operating this then?" I got this sudden feeling of impending doom and lost my breakfast on the grass.
Jake picked me up.
"Come on," he said. "We're going home for the night. We all need to sleep and eat. Curly go chase down Maddie before she calls our brothers and tells them we're out of town. We'll go explore this situation tomorrow. We all just need to go home and get a hot meal and some rest, okay? Johnny, you're going to the Curtis's".
Curly ran down the street and chased after my best friend.
"Be careful, I yelled.
"Always," my brother shouted. "See you at home Angel," he said. Then he too disappeared.
I sigh, my body sagging.
"I got you Ange," Jake reassured me.
We dropped Johnny off at the Curtis's and took off to Jake's house.

I was watching Ponyboy's friends as they contemplated what to do next. I saw the pictures and looked at it as closely as I could, trying to find some clues. There were X's all over Ponyboy. I looked at the notes and noticed how almost everything was about Ponyboy.
"So, if we wanna catch this guy, Ponyboy's our most efficient lead," I whispered to myself. "Come on Scott, pull yourself together. You have to tell Ponyboy and Dawn about this". My pep talk gave me some confidence. I wasn't a scaredy cat or anything like that, but this shit was too fucked up. I looked up in time to see the black haired girl staring my way. I flitted off into the night, in search of Ponyboy.
OoOo
Damn kid. Always getting himself in some type of trouble. Now we're all screwed with some psycho killer after us as we searched for the little rugrats.
I looked at Soda to see him in deep thought. His eyes were glued to the concrete as he took in the day's events.
"Hey Steve?" he asked. I sighed.
"What's the problem So'?" I asked softly.
"Why do – why do you think anyone wants to kills my brother?" he asked me. In his eyes, there was a wave of sadness and seriousness.
"I mean it's good that he's here in ghost form and all, which I still can't believe. Steve I'm ready to check myself in at the crazy house. I mean, we're seeing damn ghosts, snooping around for a killer, and acting like this is all completely normal. Why didn't mom and dad come back then, huh?"
He finished his little rant, full of desperation.
"I don't know buddy. I wish I could tell you but I can't, you dig?"
"Yeah, I dig. Why would anyone want to hurt my precious baby?" he whispered. "He didn't do anything to anyone".
"Except he got involved with a murder, put a church on fire accidently endangering kids as well," I corrected him. He focused his brown eyes on me in an intense glare. Then he stopped.
"What? What's wrong?"
"That must be it Steve, the Windrixville situation. That's like the only serious bad thing that Ponyboy got caught up in. Something that connects him to the killer".
Of course, it all made since. Someone could and would hold a grudge over this. This isn't random. This was revenge.
"But Johnny-," he interrupted me. "Johnny has never been alone for a long period of time. He's practically living at my house if he's not at his parents. Ponyboy goes to track and school and the movies. Things like that". It was all coming together now.
I gave my friend a lop sided grin. "And you call yourself stupid". My friend rolled his eyes but gave me a grin back.
Then a shadow rushed at me from my corner eye. I tried to land a punch, but I wasn't quick enough. The shadow, punched me in the gut. It felt like all the air was knocked from my lungs. I picked myself up from the street when I got my bearings together. The shadow was gone. I took another look around. And so was Soda.
My heart rate picked up as I found out my friend was missing.
"SODAAA!" I screamed as my voice echoed into the night air. The street light cracked as glass surrounded me. I was the only one here. Or so I thought.
Things are getting pretty intense, aren't they? Sorry it took me so long to review. I also may be starting a new story. He can do what now is up for adoption. Talk to me about it if you want it. Check out Twisted, especially if you like this story. Reviews are greatly motivational and appreciated.
