Narration:

Once upon a time there was a kingdom, this kingdom was called metal village. The name metal village was misleading but the king wanted it that way. He preferred the commoners over kings and earls. The commoners had more interesting stories to tell.

Anyway our story begins with the young prince, unlike the prince's father the mother hated commoners and the parents would constantly fight about of which class their son would marry. As a compromise they said they would allow him to choose, with help from the parents of course. Ever month or so they would hold a ball where kings and commoners alike would gather, mingle, and dance. The prince wasn't one for balls and certainly not for dancing. He preferred sneaking out into the garden and hiding until the ball was over, during the ball was the only time the prince could sneak away without being discovered and the only time he could get out side the palace its self. Normally he was locked up in his room or accompanied by someone when he wanted to go somewhere, but any where out side the place was off limits, this was his mother's doing. Oh dear me, I have forgotten to mention the dear prince's name, his name is Prince Kyoya Tategami. Now let's join our prince, it is a week before the ball and the castle is bustling with activity.

Story:

A knock came from the door as he stared out the window from wear he sat at his desk, bored stiff. "Sire, your mother requests your presents" kyoya sighs and gets up walking to the door in his, as his mother calls it, rag muffin clothes. "Sire, pardon me but shouldn't you change? Your mother will be most unhappy if you greet her and her guest in those"

Kyoya lets out another sigh and walks by into the room closing the door behind him. When he reopens the door he is wearing a black dress shirt, tan pants, and a green jacket, "Is this better, William?"

"Yes, sire. Very much so" the two walk down to the throne room from the princes' room, which it in the tower [go figure huh?] when he arrives he walks right in not allowing the doorman to announce his arrival. "Yes mother? You wanted to see me?"

"Ahh kyoya as handsome as ever, come here, come here I want you to meet my friend's daughter" kyoya nods and dose as his mother wished, he was a silent boy. For when he was little, he use to speak out much more than his mother liked and earned him self a scars he has under his eyes.

Tea time with the guest

The three sat down in the garden surrounded by 5 foot tall rose bushes and a small coy pond as the maid served tea. "Ah thank you" the queen said as she wave away the maid, on the table they had cake, cookies, and tea. Kyoya played with his cake as the girl across from him rattled on about who did what and who said what. It was all rather boring to him; he agreed with his father, commoners had more interesting stories than the rich. "So honey what's your opinion?" his mother asks, snapping kyoya back to reality, "huh? About what?" kyoya asks with a confused look on his face, the girl sitting across from kyoya looks at him with pain in her eyes, "you didn't listen to my story?"

"No, not really. Sorry but it was rather boring to me" upon hearing this, the girl stood up excused her self and left the palace. "Come now kyoya why can't you act like you're interested in what these girls are saying to you?"

"Because I'm not" kyoya continued to play with his cake looking at the coy pond, 'your trapped here too, huh?' kyoya thought watching they swim about playing in the water.

"Kyoya, go get ready we're going into town."

"Will I be able to look around?"

"Of course…"

"Alone?"

"Never"

"Why not?"

"Because you never no what those commoners will try, remember when you were little?"

'Yeah when I was little I was able to walk around time. Only accompanied by William, the man that got me earlier. When I stayed out to long with my friend at her house her dad said I could stay over for the night. When I got home the next day my friend's dad was taken away from her. I haven't had the guts to see her to apologize. I'm afraid she'll hate me and blame me for what happened. That's when I got my scars, mother blamed it on the family and they were exiled for it.' "Of course mother" kyoya got up and excused himself and headed to his room.

His mother had always taught him to bring a bag if something ever happened some he would be prepared. Today kyoya was doing something he never dared to do before. When they were leaving the carriage he would ask to look around with William, give him the slip. After he had done that he would dispose of his green cloche and put on the tattered brown one he got from an elderly servant as a present. Then after he was able to find a place to stay he would discard his palace clothes and change into his rage muffin clothes. He didn't know what he would do after that but planning to far ahead would cause problems. He even packed the last of the smoke bombs he and his friend made when they were little. He had long forgotten how to make them but he knew they would help him (the bombs he means) give William the slip.

The plan

The carriage drew closer to the square, time to put the plan in action. "Mother, father, may I go off with William to look around?"

"but of course son" the reply came from his father, kyoya knew if he asked earlier his mother would have fought against this decision but they were all to close to the people now to argue, kyoya felt a smile pulling at his lips but he fought against it "of course you can sweetie' his mom said with a look of defeat on her face 'just stay away from the black smith's" "yes mother" kyoya knew what was at the blacksmiths and was debating him self weather he should go there, surely they would look there first by he didn't even know the way to the black smith's. He must have William guide him there first. Kyoya put his plan in action as he left with William.

"William, could you show me the way to the blacksmith's"

"Your mother doesn't want you going there"

"So? When have I ever really cared what mother says, besides I want to see her" kyoya states a light blush dusting his cheeks (the ones on face, before you get any ideas)

"Sire, we're here" kyoya looks up suddenly filled with what if's, but when his gaze falls on the sign above the big wide open door, relaxes as memories come flooding back. He walks to the mouth of the shop and starts to hear the clanking of a giant hammer against metal, he spots the black smith in the back of the shop pounding away at a piece of hot metal, "he's home" kyoya says letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding. As kyoya started to leave, he wasn't going to bother the smith while he was working, he saw a girl round the corner he himself just came around. She had on a simply dark blue skirt and white flouncy three quarter length blouse, her baby blue hair was tied back, her hair stopped in a V between her shoulder blades. She was carrying two buckets of water looking down making sure she didn't trip, when she looked up she stopped dead in her tracks. She dropped the buckets (only one tipped over) and ran fill force towards kyoya, she jumped up wrapping her arms around his neck her chin on his shoulder, and kyoya wrapped his arms around her waist hugging her back. "Hikaru' kyoya started 'is it really you?" kyoya asked wanting to make sure it was Hikaru and not some crazy person. "Yes it's me, my highness" kyoya chuckled at this, when they were little she would say my highness all the time.

Flash back

"Hikaru' kyoya whined 'it's your highness not my highness"

"But you're not your own highness! You're my highness!"

End of flash back

Kyoya smiled at the memory, he let Hikaru go when he heard her father coming, "what's with all da noise out- well I'll be damned, kyoya what a surprise. Never thought I'd see ya again" kyoya bowed a little "sir, I'm glade to see your back home and doing well. I curse my mother for what see did, Blaming you for her doings."

"Naw, we should have brought ya home earlier, ya are da prince ya know" kyoya smiled the way Hikaru's father talked always made him feel welcomed here. Suddenly an ax came flying at kyoya and Hikaru's heads, kyoya pulled Hikaru towards him both of them falling on the ground in the process. Hikaru laid on top of kyoya her face on his chest not moving, kyoya looked at Hikaru's face before anything else. He saw her gripping onto his shirt squeezing her eyes shut, he looked around and found the ax embedded in a brick wall. Kyoya sat up using one hand, the other was stroking Hikaru's hair trying to calm her down, and Hikaru now sat on her knees her head still on Kyoya's chest, between Kyoya's legs. "What the hell was that for?" kyoya shouted not hiding the fact he was pissed. "You're the reason Hikaru almost killed her self! And you took my husband away from me! You're not a prince you're just a boy who gets every thing on a silver platter!"

Tada! I got writers block for my other storys so I figured I would write a faqriy tale style story. Hope you enjoy.
