This is the last chapter for this story. Now, once this ends… which is after I publish it, I'll start planning the next story. You'll see it in my profile.
Well, from the name of the chapter, I just told you what will happen, but let's get to the details of this chapter, shall we?
Ellen sat on a chair in the kitchen after she woke up for another day at school. She had been so excited all day to see Ethan, who was the only reason to make her happy. That whole year, she'd been obsessing over Matthew Knight and his character and then she finally got to date a guy that she thought she'd never ever see. To be honest, she didn't even think her parents – in her dimension – would even let her go to Canada even if it were with them. But now, her wish of meeting someone as amazing as this flawless Disney character came true. She had to remind herself that he's just imagined by some director and he wasn't real. He was fictional. But yet, he was in front of her half of the time in flesh and blood. Ethan and not Matthew.
But she also remembered that she told everyone about her problem. Now that she did, Ethan and Benny might have gone to ask Mrs. Weir who had the answers to your supernatural and weird problems. She knew it was Benny's fault, but she didn't want to blame him. From watching the show, she knew he got blamed a lot and she didn't want him to feel like that again because of her. She didn't want to go back to the real world – she wanted to stay with Ethan, Benny, Sarah, Rory and Erica. She wanted the supernatural no matter how hard she knew it was. She wanted this life so badly but she knew it wasn't hers. She belonged to a world where nothing that interesting happened. But she had to go back. She missed Sam and her father a lot and wanted to see them. There was no turning back. She told them and now she has to go. It was the right thing to do.
She took her school bag and went to have a walk to school. When she reached it, she opened her locker and sighed. Her life was too complicated and she wanted to forget about it. Who knew that this would happen to her?
She heard footsteps coming towards her. When she turned her head around, she saw Ethan, who wasn't really smiling.
"Um, hey," he greeted shyly.
"Hi," she replied. "Did you find anything that can bring me back?"
"Uh, yes, actually," he said. "Benny's grandma did."
She nodded. She didn't want to say that it was great because she didn't feels it was very much, and she didn't want to say that it was too bad because she wanted to go back.
"How are you taking it?" she asked.
"Not very well." He scratched the back of his neck and then looked down at the floor. "We've been dating for a few days and now you're leaving. Everything's happening too fast, you know."
"Yeah, I agree." She nodded. "I told you that in my world you're fictional, right?"
"Yeah, I still can't get that into my head."
Ellen laughed and then continued in a hushed voice, "Well, I used to want to meet the actor playing your character, but everyone kept telling me that I'm just being unrealistic and crazy."
"What's his name again? The 'actor' you say that… plays me?" he asked making the quotation mark with his hand. Yep, he still couldn't get used to it.
"His name is Matthew," she smiled. "Anyway, let me continue. Um, I actually obsessed over the show just like Erica's obsession with Dusk. I'd re-watch it millions of times, I'd watch interviews, I'd search for the simplest details on the Internet and-" she choked on her words for a second then said, "People would tell me to stop obsessing over you guys and get a life, which I really should. They told me you're fictional, that you don't exist, you're not real." She looked at him in the eyes. "I know I'm not in a dream because I could physically feel everything in here. This feels so real. I still can't believe I'm in front of you. I guess I'm really lucky to get a chance to see and meet you. I really had fun. People don't get chances like this to meet their favorite characters."
"Listen, I don't care if you're from another universe or world, or if you're just as obsessive as Erica. I like you."
"That's so sweet and thank you, but… when I leave, please don't give up on what you like."
"What do you mean?"
"Don't give up on any of your friends, especially Benny and Sarah. Plus, I think Rory feels lonely at times."
He smiled. "Okay, I won't forget."
At Benny's house, Ellen was sitting in a living room chair as Mrs. Weir was trying to make a potion. Before she actually made it, she told Ellen that when it's ready, she should spill it on the floor, which wouldn't be stained or anything, and a portal will open. She asked her to why not do the spell again, and Evelyn told her that going back somewhere was much harder than expected. She, of course, understood that.
After a few minutes, Ethan and Benny came from upstairs and sat down beside her with Ethan closer to her, his arm wrapped around her. He kept telling her things like 'it's going to be okay' and whatnot. But honestly, it wasn't.
She excused herself and grabbed Ethan with her to somewhere a bit private and had one last kiss with him, and then came back to the living room. Once they were there, they saw Evelyn with a glass tube filled with purple liquid. She knew it was time to go.
She spilled some of it on the floor. Almost instantly, a purple portal opened. It wasn't on the floor, though, it was in mid-air. The middle purple part of the portal faded away to reveal her and Sam's room with her sister sleeping.
"I guess it's time to go," she whispered not to wake her sister up. But boy, she was wrong about what her sister.
Sam's body spun around in the bed, revealing that she was awake. When she looked at what was in front of her eyes, she let out a scream, which wasn't too loud to wake her parents up.
"E-Ellen? Y-You're…" she stammered.
"Surprise?" Ellen smiled at her, which only made her angry.
"You've been gone for five minutes with nothing telling me that you're here. I was worried sick abou-"
"Is this your sister?" Benny asked.
Sam's eyes widened when she saw Benny. Actually, no one was visible because they took a step to the side.
"He's… he's… how?"
Ellen laughed. "Benny, this is my sister Sam, who likes you very much."
"N-No I don't!" She argued.
"Anyway," Ellen started, looking at the others. "I have to leave." She hugged Ethan then shook Benny's and Evelyn's hands, then entered the portal, waving before it closed.
"I think I'm dreaming," Sam whispered to herself.
"No, you're not." Ellen replied.
"How is that even possible? It's not human logic."
"It turns out, humans don't know many things, do they?" She smiled to herself. But deep down inside, she knew that she'd never see the Ethan Morgan she liked, but this was for the best. She looked at Sam. "I missed you so much."
The next thing Sam knew, she was hugged by her sister.
"What is that all about?" she asked.
"I didn't see you for as long as I was there."
"Oh… okay. But can you get off of me?"
"Sorry." She let go of Sam and smiled.
"What are you thinking of?" Ellen obviously noticed the smirk, which she knew meant that her sister was up to something she wouldn't agree on doing quickly.
"Well, I don't care if mom said she doesn't want us to stay up, I'm watching MBAV season 1 again."
From that moment, it seemed that every day, she'd move on a bit more. But she'd never forget how amazing it felt to live in there for a few days.
And she was indeed lucky.
I hope the ending wasn't disappointing because I tried.
Time to say goodbye to this story and hello to another.
Honestly, the dream I had about this story involved me doing this. The dream wasn't complete, but the first chhapter was my dream. I thought I'd share it in the format of a story. (Yeah, now you know I'm crazy. XD)
Well, thank you for reading. I love you guys if you hung on until this chapter. :)
