"It is finished." ~ Aslan at the end of the Battle of Beruna, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, (Disney/Walden 2005)

"It is finished."
The whisper of death.
And thus, my Saviour died.
He died in my place,
for this traitor unworthy.
With those three words,
breathed His last for me.
My shame is covered now
by His precious blood
worth more than the universe.

"It is finished."
The awak'ning call.
And so, my Saviour rose.
Risen with the sun,
Marvellous glory displayed.
With those three words,
defeated the grave.
My hope is set in Him
Who has set me free
and made me His child always.

"It is finished."
The great battle cry.
And thus, my Lord King comes.
Returns to the war,
to set all things right again.
With those three words,
conquers His crushed foe.
My freedom is in Him
Who is Liberty
and deserves my every praise.

"It is finished."
The victory shout.
And thus, my Lord King reigns.
Ruling as He should
As King over all the earth.
With those three words,
enthroned in splendour.
My allegiance I lay
at the throne of grace
for my loving Master's sake.

I do not deserve this grace
given so freely
from His almighty hand.
I have been set free
by those three words.
I weep, for my guilt is great
and the price so high.
With joy, He speaks to me
the concluding breath:
"It is finished."
