"My name is Luna Lovegood." Luna stood in front of the class. Year seven. Last year.

A voice in the back cried, "Loony Luna Lovegood." Zabini. Luna sat back down in her seat. Another year of teasing. Not that it mattered. The Ravenclaw next to her stood up.

"You're just childish Blaise, you know that? I heard you torment girls all through first year. I thought you grew up but I was wrong." Another girl stood up.

"I know the war was hard. It must hurt that you lost, but no need to be a prat."

A girl chimed in. She had a thick accent, "Yeah, where I come from, there is no excuse to be mean."

"If you were as rich as Draco, then I wouldn't call you prat. You would have an excuse, but just because you are a pureblood? I'm a pureblood and you don't see me running around insulting people."

"Purebloods are regular people."

"Yeah!"

"You know, it's talk that Pansy is cheating on Draco with you. I heard that Pansy's cheating on you with Draco."

"It's true," a girl whispered.

"So shut up."

"Leave her alone."

What was this Beat Up Blaise day?

The girl beside Blaise stood up. She announced her name to the teacher, "Patricia Wrede." Then she turned to the back to face Blaise. "You know what? Luna is a great fighter. She worked her hardest and was the only person to stick around when things got though. She is a million times better than you. I'm not saying that because she is my friend, I'm saying that because she deserves it." Everyone cheered at that.

Luna watched the whole thing unfold. It didn't settle right in her stomach.

After class, an arm hooked around her waist and hauled her into the classroom.

"Blaise?" Blaise only nuzzled into her neck making her blush.

"Luna, we have to be careful. Draco would skin me alive if he found out. Your friends are doing a great job at covering but…" Luna held his hands.

"Too far?" she asked.

"Too far," he answered.

"It was Hermione's idea. Ginny was the one who selected the girls to tell though. They were too excited. Just like when they discovered Pansy had a thing for Ron." She felt Blaise shudder. He and Pansy never dated. It was a cover for where Pansy was whenever she went traipsing off with Ron.

"Mione's dating Draco right?" Blaise was holding her back to his chest but she could feel his breaths turn consistent as he pondered their coming-out plan.

"Under the table." She reminded him.

"Can't she help us, you know, break the news?"

"I know she can. She told Ron that Harry was dating Ginny."

"I thought that was a public thing." Blaise's voice took on a confused tone.

"No, before. They dated for months before."

"And Ron?" There was some hope.

"Not a scratch on Harry's head." She felt Blaise's breathing hitch. He knew a furious Ron was a force to be dealt with.

"Was Harry there?"

"He had to be."

Blaise sighed shaking his head. "She should become a mediator. I trust she'll do the same for us."

"I hope so. Draco is not going to harm me. He will harm you." Luna snuggled into the embrace. Soon a few stolen glances and chaste kisses wouldn't be enough.

"That is sweet. You're worried."

"Of course."

"I love you." Blaise's voice was beside her ear. It was just like when he told her he was defecting to their side. That he wanted to be a good guy for once. She let the school bell ring. They could skip a class and hide in the potions closet.

"I love you too."
