FLUFF
Jeff squinted, as if that would make it easier to find Nick. His boyfriend was just too good at this game, and that was the obvious reason he had chosen this as their 'date night'. "Hardly a date," Jeff grumbled to himself as he once again looked under the couch, knowing that no matter how many times he looked there, Nick wasn't going to magically appear beneath the polished leather piece of furniture.
"What was that?" a voice ghosted over his ear from behind him.
Jeff visibly jumped, clearly not expecting somebody to sneak up on him. "God, Nick! Seriously? Is it ever a good idea to sneak up on me like that?" Jeff pouted from where he had landed on the couch.
"I'm not the one complaining about date night." Nick smirked as he plopped down next to the blonde warbler.
"Oh come on," Jeff said. "You know I didn't mean it! I was just tired of looking for you."
"Yeah, and I was tired of hiding," Nick said with a smile. "Really Jeff? I waited for like, half an hour! I figured you had forgotten that we were playing!"
"Hey!" Jeff protested, "It's not my fault that you always seem to hide in the one place I forget to look! Where were you anyways?"
Nick smirked "behind the door. I had thought I was going easy on you... Apparently not even that was obvious enough for you..." Nick winked, putting his arm around Jeff's shoulders.
"Hey!" Jeff protested, "No! For that, I'm withholding my cuddles." Jeff said as he squirmed out of Nick's arm and pointedly turned away, with his arms crossed.
Nick sighed dramatically "Fine... I guess I'll go see if Thad's available..." Nick said, knowing that Jeff had an overprotective gene, along with a tendency to get quite jealous.
Jeff's eyes widened "NO!" he actually shouted, throwing himself onto Nick. "No I'm sorry Nicky! Please don't leave..." the last part was almost whispered, and Nick immediately felt bad.
"Jeff... I was joking! I would never leave you! Especially for Thad!" Nick wrinkled his nose. "he's not really my type... I'm more into blondes, " he said with a smile. But when Jeff still refused to look him in the eyes, and continued to look slightly ashamed and frightened, Nick pulled his chin up so that their faces were inches apart and they were looking into each-others eyes. "Jeff. I would never leave you. You are amazing! You're beautiful, and talented, and just downright perfect! I wonder every day how I managed to find somebody as perfect as you, and i love you, so much it physically hurts! I'm sorry for saying that, I really didn't mean it, Jeff. I love you."
Jeff smiled softly. "Really?"
"Forever." Nick whispered in his ear.
Jeff smiled grew at Nicks words. "I love you too, three."
At this Nick closed the gap between them, sealing their lips together in a way that never refrained from giving Jeff chills, no matter how many times they kissed. Their hands found each-other and fit together seamlessly, as if made for that sole purpose. Nick smiled as he finally broke the kiss. "Your turn to hide!" he exclaimed, breaking the tension and causing Jeff to laugh. Nick always had a way of transferring their conversations from serious to lightheartedness in an effortless way. Just another reason for Jeff to love him.
"Okay!" he giggled, bounding off, before bouncing back into the doorway, "ya know? We should have dates like this more often!" he smiled before skipping back out of the room to look for a place to possible hide from Nick for longer than two minutes.
