Hello all! This is my third OUAT story, and this time for one of my favorite couples of all time, Archie/Ruby! Hope you enjoy!

Ruby wasn't scared of anything. Nothing at all. Well, maybe a few things, like the heart that she found in that box, and spiders, but besides that, nothing. She was like a lion. Fearless.

But she was scared of one person. No, not scared, more like terrified. And it was ridiculous. He could never hurt a fly without feeling sorry for it.

She was terrified of Dr. Archie Hopper.

It was silly, really. How could anyone be afraid of him? But every time she was near him, her heart started beating faster, and she felt her usual confidence slip away. She tried her best not to be awkward around him, but she was always worried about her façade slipping.

She was sure that everyone knew already. She always got quieter around him, and she took not-so-subtle glances at him. And if that wasn't the least of her problems, his eyes were such a pretty blue, it was hard to look away from them. Oh God. And that reddish hair too, especially in the sunlight…

She was so dead.

Not only was he him, but she was Ruby, waitress at her granny's diner, and younger than him by more than five to who knows how many years. It would never fly past Granny.

And their personalities. They were so different. But then again, there was that old cliché: opposites attract. How she hated that one. But it was true. Because the reason for her terror of him was because she liked him. Maybe she loved him. She didn't know yet, but she would soon. Now, if she got over her fear of human hearts and spiders, she would be fearless.

And she'd have him beside her.
