they don't always get along
&& sometimes they fight
but they're friends
(maybe even more)
&& they've always got each other
they wouldn't have it anyotherway

but one day, the king gets taken away
&& the queen is left a/l/o/n/e
to rule the kingdom
to fight monsters
to win battles
(n/o o/n/e can replace him)

she stays s-t-r-o-n-g
(even if it's tough)
for him
for everyone
she is the fearless leader
(it's her duty)

she's always coolcalmcollected
any sign of crumbling
is replaced by a s.h.i.e.l.d of s.o.l.i.d.i.t.y
&& she hopes, no, knows, that he'll be back
(it's only a matter of time)

the king is taken to a faraway land
(it's not actually that far off)
where he meets a prettylittleprincess
who steals him with her kaleidoscope eyes
he's forgotten all about his queen
(or has he?)

but as hard as the princess tries
she will n/e/v/e/r become his queen
she's just the prettylittleprincess
playing p*r*e*t*e*n*d
she'll hang on for a as she can
onto those madeupmemories&kissesunderthesky
(she's his star now, but sometimes stars fall)

...

one day, the king remembers.
