She knew she would never see her sun and stars again, but she also knew she wouldn't have to live in darkness. His memory, the memory of their child, would always burn bright in her; like a dragon's fire. One day she knew that she would be able to move on, the deep wounds that inflicted her would heal, but no one could ever replace him. Perhaps she would love another someday too, though nothing could ever replace what her sun and stars gave her.

Dany often thought she was foolish, thinking she could ever be happy. But she had a taste of it and she would forever hold onto the tiny piece that remains. Drogo helped mold her into the woman she is today, gave her the love she always lacked, made her see the dragon's blood that burned in her veins.

Eventually she would move on, let her sun and stars escape to the sky where he belonged. The unbearable pain in her heart will fade to a dull ache. Daenerys both longed and dreaded the day it would finally sink in, but she knew she would survive.

Khal Drogo breathed life in her, ignited the fire, and she would never let it go to waste. The world will tremble at her feet, their feet, and her lord husband will one day be by her side at the throne. Even in death, he will strike fear into the hearts of millions, Dany would make sure of it; watching in glee as the world burns for taking the only person she ever cared for, for taking their son, for stealing her sun and stars. Because one day, the sun and the stars will burn brighter than ever before.
