So, the idea of this story came from my friend, Megan, AKA, Tuglover98. We thought that it would be hilarious if someone in the world of RA were to say, "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!" Just because, I find it funny when people say that. Well, not like, old people in the LifeAlert commercials, but anywhere else because of those commercials. Just..
"Are you sure that this will scare him?" Will asked Gilan.
"Yeah, this doesn't seem like a good idea." Horace said to the ranger.
Earlier that day, Gilan had concocted an evil plan to scare Halt. He instantly had run to get the knight and the younger ranger and brought them to Halt's cabin. When. Halt. Wasn't. There.
"It's the best idea ever!" Gilan said to the two of them. "You two just don't want to admit it.
"We're going to be hiding behind the couches and then jumping out as soon as Halt turns on a light. How, exactly, is that a good idea?"
"I knew I shouldn't have brought you two. You'll just ruin the plan with your non-awesomeness." Gilan said, sounding a little like he was choking back a sob.
"We are to awesome!" Horace said, getting behind a couch. "We're so awesome that we'll be even better than you at this plan!"
Gilan instantly brightened. "I doubt that, but this plan will be too great for us to dwell on that!" Gilan said smiling.
Will sighed loudly. "You've just gotten us stuck going through with this-" He cast a meaningful glance a Gilan, "Terrible plan."
"My plan is not terrible. It's fantastic. If you're gonna be all negative, just get in your hiding place. Horace and I don't want to hear your negative-ness."
Grumbling to himself, Will crouched behind a simple, wooden chair.
Gilan laughed. "You know that chair has slats, right Will?"
"So?" Will asked.
"So...I can see you. Find a better place."
Will growled as he got to his feet. Then he got behind the couch. With Horace.
Gilan instantly protested. "Hey! That was going to be my spot!"
"Well, you aren't standing here, now, are you?"
Then they heard the familiar sounds of Halt arriving home.
"You might want to find a hiding place, Gilan." Will said.
"Move over!" Gilan said, squeezing in beside Will and Horace. "Good thing I already turned off all the lights."
They heard the front door opening, and Horace motioned for Gilan to be quiet.
They heard Halt stepping across the living room, then the cabin became a bit brighter.
The three leaped from their hiding places, yelling somewhat loudly. Gilan and Horace cleared it easily, landing on their feet in front of Halt, who didn't look scared, in fact, he looked amused. Then the two of them heard Will's groaning.
Will had tried to jump the couch, but his back foot had hit the couch as he jumped, causing him to land on the ground. "Help..." Will said weakly.
"Will, you aren't hurt." Halt said non-sypathetically.
"Help..." He repeated.
"Come on, Will...Stand up." Gilan said.
"Help...I've fallen and I can't get up."
"This will make a good story." Horace said. "The mighty Will Treaty, who survived the the Wargals, the Kalkara, Morgarath, the Skandians," He paused, searching for a name, "those blue-veiled people, and many other things, was felled by the great, fantastic...couch."
Will groaned again.
"Yeah, who should we tell first?" Gilan asked, when he saw that Will wasn't getting up.
"I say Alyss." Horace said.
Will jumped to his feet. "We don't really have to tell Alyss about this, right?"
"Sure, Will." Gilan said, looking at Horace, who had the same devious gleam in his eyes.
"We're just going to go to...town." Horace said. "C'mon, Gil." THe two of them walked to the door.
"Wait. Do you three mind telling me why you were behind the couch?" Halt asked.
"I told you it was a bad plan, Gilan." Will said.
It would be amazing if you reviewed.
