Jane lookes around suspiciously before knocking on the front door, preferring not to use her key. Maura's smile as she opened the door made her pull her in and kiss her feverently, despite the company that may be inside.

Maura's hazel eyes glittered when they pulled apart. "You're lucky that your mother's still at the guest house, honey."

"Ma's always late, Maur."

Maura leaned back against the counter, the glass of wine in her hand forgotten as she watched Jane and her brother Frankie wrestling playfully, a tender smile on her beautiful features.

"Okay you two, knock it off before you break something!" Angela yelled at her kids from the kitchen.

"But Ma, Frankie took the remote!"

"Janie, you're not five years old!"

Maura laughed at the pout that settled on her detectives face at her mother's words. "Jane, your mother has a point..."

She ducked swiftly, laughing as one of her designer couch pillows threw across the room at her.

"Traitor!"

"Alright everybody, I just wanted to make a toast to the turtle." Jane said, standing infront of the TV. "For making Maur that much more of our little weirdo."

Maura laughed as Jane downed the rest of her beer in one drink. "Tortiose!"

"I still say there isn't a difference, Maura." Jane retorted, smiling as she leaned in close to Maura to make her point.

Quick as a flash, Maura had her lips crushing against hers before Jane even knew what was happening.

Her cheeks turned a flush pink as she heard Angela gasp. The others were all strangely silent.

Maura was near hyperventilation by the time she and Jane pulled apart to face everyone's reactions.

Soo... anyone want to see their reactions? Review and let me know! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?
