A/N: Hello again! Nothing like updating 3 years later, am I right guys? ...guys? Okay, I am very late with this update but it's here! So sorry that it took so long, but I missed you guys! and I know you missed me. But anyway, let's get on with this story. So without further ado, chapter 4!
The date had went very well. At least Jade thought so. Nothing too bad happened, just the occasional snide remark from their waitress. Tori seemed to enjoy herself, not that Jade was surprised. The other girl certainly enjoyed herself during that first date. Jade wouldn't admit to it, but she enjoyed it a little too. This time, though, nothing felt forced or acted out. It was... raw in a sense. Genuine. She liked that. And she liked Tori, maybe even more than she ever let on.
The weekend had passed and it was back to school, bake to the loud halls and annoying students. She had offered to pick Tori up that morning but never received a text back so she didn't bother. Waiting to get a text though caused her to be a little late and not have a chance to stop for coffee. As she walked through the doors she was nearly knocked down by what looked like a very hyper red flurry, or it was just Cat.
"Jade! Hey! You didn't return my calls or text me back!" Cat sounded like she had downed about seven coffees and just as many espresso shots. Jade was definitely not awake enough for this.
"I didn't feel like it. Now get off before I throw you in that trash can." She continued to walk with the red head still attached to her arm.
"Do you feel like it now? I want to know how the you know what went." Cat wiggled her eyebrows,.
Sighing, Jade pried the girl's arms off of her. "It went well, okay? It was nice." Nothing could have hid the small smile that flashed on her face but it was gone in a matter of seconds due to the high pitched squeal that came from Cat. "Holy shit, can you not?!" Jade cringed.
Cat was speaking in such high tones that Jade's uncaffinated brain couldn't understand and she took the chance to escape her, leaving her to squeal by herself in the middle of the hallway. Too much energy for such a small girl, that had to defy some law of science.
Just as Jade turned the corner, she was stopped by a very gorgeous smile, and then a coffee pushed into her face. "I got this for you."
Jade took the coffee from Tori's hand like it was the Holy Grail. She quickly took a sip, enjoying every moment of the hot liquid.
A small giggle escaped Tori, "Geez, it's like you haven't had coffee in years."
Jade let out a sigh of relief. "Might as well have been. Didn't have any this morning. Thank you. You might have literally saved me and everyone in this building." That was not an over-exaggeration in the slightest.
"Good, I don't think even I would be able to control a She-Hulk Jade if she was unleashed."
This got a laugh from her just before she took another sip of her coffee. A few seconds of silence passed by before the morning bell rang, and aTori waved good bye, leaving Jade by herself to walk to her first class.
Why did it have to be Tori, of all people? Why not that crazy hot chick in her Intro to Stage Managing class? At least then she wouldn't be having such a huge internal break down. Tori Vega, enemy turned friend turned... what ever they were right now. Girlfriends? No, it was just one official date, they couldn't be exclusive yet. Did she want them to be? Maybe Tori did but Jade wasn't sure, not yet at least.
All Jade could think about for the majority of the day was that beautiful smiling face that greeted her with coffee. She had looked so excited and it didn't even matter that it wasn't the right mix of cream and sugar. The look on Tori's face when she handed it over was enough to cause her heart to explode in her chest.
Jade quickly sat up straight in her chair. Shit. She really was developing feelings for the girl. Hardcore feelings nonetheless. This was big, huge. She had thought it was a stupid little crush. No, this what bigger than that. Monumental almost. Okay, asshat, you are over reacting. Chill out. She relaxed a little in her chair, sinking back down in it, aware that people were probably looking at her now. It's just a few feelings.. for Tori.. no big deal.. She squeezed her eyes shut and shook her head, What the fuck am I talking about, of course it's a big dea;. It's Tori fucking Vega. Opening her eyes, she stared at the chalkboard in the front of the class.
It was settled, Jade needed to act on these feelings before they actually made her explode. Another date, this time it had to be more romantic. A night Tori would never forget. Jade was going to court the hell out of this girl and make her her's. Jade was going to make it happen.
