The darkness slowly descended outside, and it was warm. I could have been out there, but it was too boring to do anything out there. Sighing, I pulled out my laptop, a sleek, black Toshiba Intel, and logged into my user and typed in my very long password. My fingers flew over the keyboard at top speed, hitting several wrong letters in the process. I rolled my eyes and smirked as my password hint came up below: my favorite animal. In reality, the password had nothing to do with the hint. I did that to throw people off. I logged onto ooVoo and noticed that my best friend Nicki and our other friend Jeff were logged in. As usual, Nicki made a multi-chat with only the two of us.

I rolled my eyes at Jeff's remark. He could be like that; he always was and that's how he rolls. I smirked and typed my response into the little gray-black box at the bottom of the screen.

That remark was as expected. Nicki had gotten into this relentless stage of extreme randomness at the weirdest of times. Most of these bouts of randomness happened, well, ANYWHERE in the entire conversation and usually began with the phrase "I'm Pretty" and moving on to "who else agrees" thus prompting Jeff to freak out and try and change the subject.

I had managed to squeeze a story out of our whacked-out friends for so long that I ended up having several stories going all at once and then I abandoned all of them.

This is what I was talking about. Nicki always asked this almost every day, and then we would try and force Jeff into answering by attempting to blackmail him (which never happened and he never answered). We were doing it right now, and we were epically failing.

I groaned as my mom yelled at me. I slid my laptop onto the floor. It was closed, but it wasn't off. I smirked.
