Chapter :So it Begins

"Are you sure its alright for me to take your bed while you're here?"

"Yes Rukia, I am sure." Ichigo said laying back on her sleeping bag with her head resting on Kiba's side as she looked up at the soul reaper on her bed. "If it wasn't I would be at my apartment."

"Oh, um...so what do you do for a living?" Rukia asked to try and find out more about her friend's sister.

"Well I'm mostly a machanic, I fix cars and things for other people. But I travel around a lot and I sort of have a side job. It's a bit weird though just to warn you."

"Really what is it?"

"I'm a spiritualists medium." Ichigo said with a laid back grin.

"R-Really?" Rukia said with a nervous grin.

"Yeah, I don't really do much but I clear areas of bad mojo, pass on messages when I can, make plans against bad ghosts, and sometime give some of my energy to let the dead pass on." Ichigo snorted. "There was this one house where I had to infuse my kick with energy to send this ghost with a bone white mask away from me. Ended up breaking the mask in two, by I think it was a her, her hitting my barrier that I put up. It was a new type too. I never knew ghosts could be electracuted like that." Ichigo said turning so her back was facing Rukai. 'The fact that I was able to test Kage's new barriers, spells and stuff while going around as a spiritually gifted human only amuses me more. Good thing he can send them over via one of the spies. Good thing that prototype phone that the SS can't track works. Yachiru is happy that she can call and or text her husband too.'

Rukia stared at her friend's sister's back with wide eyes.

Ichigo looked at the mirror that was hanging up on one of the closets doors. She winced. She couldn't see Rukia's face like she tried to and saw one of the things that freaked her out a bit.

'Damn creepy Chappy, its bad enough that one of my friends has the Mod Soul but now I have to see it's creepy picture in my second childhood room. Why did they have to make Chappy curtains.

Rukia looked for Karin as soon as class let out. She hadn't been able to talk to her alone since her sister appeared yesterday. The orange haired girl was up early and she walked the girls to school. Every time she tried to move from the bed that night Kiba's eyes would open and stared at her making her freeze and lay back down in bed causing the huge dog to look at her for few minutes before laying his head back down and go back to sleep until the next time she tried to get up again. It was a nerve-racking night for Rukia.

"Rukia come on!" Karin's voice called out. Rukai looked up to see Karin, Yuzu and Melody standing near a new person and the one she met yesterday she knew was called Sai. The man's appearance still eerily reminded her of the Third division captain. But being around him didn't make her feel like she was being wrapped around by snakes.

She walked over and joined them as they started to get into a van with another new face. He was strongly built in the muscle department and had a nice face. He had a tan and curly hair. Looked to be Mexican, or Spanish. He high fived Karin in greeting and nodded to the other girls with a quick smile.

"Great to see you again Chad."

"Chad it's nice to see you have you been eating well?"

"Oh such a nice steady song you have Mr Sado."

"Ah Bunny, the person driving the van is Yasutora Sado but people call him Chad. He works with the local wildlife presrvation committees. He also leads hikes into the hiking trails. The one sitting in the middle of us is Uryu. He's a part-time doctor and he happens to be a fashion designer." Sai said with a wave in the general direction of the two. Chad said a quiet hello and Uryu merely pushed his glasses up a bit and nodded.

"You know ya should really consider contacts Uryu." Sai laughed. Uryu turned his head and glared at the older man. "Glare'in at me ain't gonna do you no good Uryu."

"Ok how did you know I have to push up my glasses and that I turn my head to look at you?" Uryu growled. Rukia kept quiet, not really understanding why he was asking that.

Sai laughed, "The screw in your glasses is loose. I can hear the sound of the two pieces rubbing against each other. You might want to get that screw tightened soon."

"You could actually hear that?" Rukia asked in disbelief.

"Well considering that his hearing is making up for both his lack of sight and bad general health it seems like a good thing." Karin said.

"Huh?"

"Oh, that's right you don't know. You see Sai has a weird and slow acting form of Embola that has a new danger to it." Yuzu explained.

Karin sighed as she looked back and saw the confused look on the death god's face. 'Really don't these people ever look into what causes some people's deaths.' "Ebola virus disease, once known as Ebola haemorrhagic fever. It's a severe and often fatal illness in humans. It seems to be the master of all viruses in terms of evading the bodies natural defense's. It disarms the bodies ammune system response and then the v- ok I get it Rukia. Sai has a virus in his body that is transered from blood. It makes his ammune system crap and now his organs are kinda rotting from the inside slowly and painfully." Karin sighed again part way though her explanation and just used simpler words at the sight of Rukia not getting all the modern day mumbo jumbo. Karin did a report on Ebola for class once and she does help at the clinic.

"Yeah and my eyes are useless now and I have bad hear'in sometimes. I have other symptoms that come'in go. It's just one part of me life that while I don't like, I've learned to ignore. " Sai said.

"Which is why your daughter yells at you and chases that white haired kid you started a pick pocket rivalry away with her Boa staff." Karin said with a smirk.

"I blame Dragonball for that. She really wanted to learn to use a bao staff after that and I just couldn't say no considering that that was one of the only forms of self defense that she would let me take her too. She's even teach'in my granddaughters and Ichigo how to weld one."

"Speaking of which where is sis anyway?" Karin asked.

"Um, something came up..." Sai said with a bead of sweat on the side of his head.

[Elsewhere ]

"Get back here and DIE!" a female voice yelled.

A tall man with short spiky black hair, looking about 24 years old ran through the skies of Karakura Town. He kept his hands in his black hoodie pockets as he ran and kepted an almost motionless face, but there was a very small wince in his features.

"What the hell did Vizor do to get Kotone passed at him?" Naichingeru asked as she and Yachiru where chasing Kotone who was chasing after the male with her sword drawn and intention to kill.

"No idea I came upon them just before you did because a client needed some law advice. But whatever it was must have been something if the friendilest of us is out for blood." Yachiru shrugged as the to continued running together.

"Yachiru, Vizor Reddar is an intelligent, cold, and powerful Arrancar that is only affiliated with himself and has been using Karakura Town as a base of operations for a long time. He uses his way of dress," she justured to his hoodie, black pants and boots. They knew he was wearing a pair of black gloves,"and several plans to evade most of the death gods he meets or make them believe that he's human. We only know to look for the small Tanto knife of his sealed zanpakuto sticking out of his pocket and his necklace like jaw bone sticking out of his hoodie because we met him so many times in the past. I kinda think that with all the times we end up chasing him or the times he just mysteriously disappear that he just screws with us because he's bored and knows we can handle what he dishes out."

"Ok then Ichi then explain this right now." Yachiru said with a wave at Kotone slicing off a small part of Vizor's hair.

She shrugged. Ichi was her new and most used nick name now because it was in both her past and current names. "Every mmiscalculates sometimes."

"Yeah well because of that we're going to be trying to keep Kotone from going on a rampage all night and I have a bastard to file suit against tomorrow."

"If I didn't know your sadistic side so well I would be asking why you choose to be a lawyer." Ichi signed.

It was nighttime when Rukia ran from the apartment building and took off into the woods that served as a barrier from the small group of buildings from the rest of the town hoping to put enough distance from her friends that who ever was sent to get her would not find the others. She felt guilty that Karin's life was in danger because of her. "I...may have stayed too long in this world." Rukia said to herself softly.

"Yes your damn right!" a familiar voice shouted from above her. She halted her movements and looked up in shock and panic. There was a red haired soul reaper standing on the top of one of the trees. He was smirking as he drew his zanpakuto. "But because of that you got to live a little longer than you would have, Rukia!"

"Renji."

"Hunters from the soul society are after you and your todeep in your thoughts to notice that there are some right near you?"Renji was soon standing in front of her with his zanpakuto slung over his shoulder. "Even though you are in a gigai it's still pathetic that your this off edge in just a couple of months. Tell me where the human that stole your is-Yoew!" Renji let out a yell in pain as he twisted his body to see a huge dog with it's teeth sunk deep into the back of his leg. Renji tried to swing his zanpakuto at it to slice it only for it to dodge by going in the opposite direction with its teeth digging deeper into his leg and moving said part of the red heads body with it. Renji found himself on the ground.

"Kiba!" Rukia yelp in suprise. Kiba let go of Renji and jumped in front of Rukia in a defensive stance with bloody teeth bared and a growl coming from his throat. Renji got up and point his blade at the canine.

"What the hell is that thing! That mutt isn't normal if it could bit a soul reaper! ?" Renji yelled out mostly in shock.

"Calm yourself Abarai, this canine isn't the only thing in the surrounding area."

Rukia quickly turned around to see the new person that spoke. It was a male that she knew and respected. "Brother." Rukia said but the male was looking to his left side.

"Who are you and your comrades and why are you interfetring in the captured of a criminal to the soul society? "

"Well ain't you a rude one asking a male who they are without introducing yourself first. But then again it don't really matter none. I know who you are, we all do. Kuchiki Byakuya, current sixth company captain. Head of the Noble house of Kuchiki." When Rukia heard the voice she almost got whiplash looking to see Sai come out from the foliage. But her head felt like it was about to explode at the sight of him standing in the air wearing a similar uniform to her brother and childhood friend. But the difference was that his had armor on his shoulders and stomach. "My name is Ichimaru no Sai. Retired thirteen company captain. Also known as dream catcher Sai, but I haven't gone by that name in two thousand years."

"What the hell!" Renji yelled.

"Yes please explain." Rukia said as she sunk to her knees with a small whimper. Her head hurt really badly right now and she felt that it was only going to get worse, much worse.

"Well now ain't the time for that bunny. I have a letter for that old coot that runs the first division. After I give it to them their going to go home for three days and then bring us both in." Sai said with a easy going shrug.

"What makes you think that we will be doing such a thing." Byakuya said with a glare.

"Because if you doing then you and the whole thirteen court company's and the central fourty-six are guilty of braking one of the royal families founding laws from the soul society's roots and redemption will be swift."
