She shouldn't have opened the laptop.

Plastered across the screen were comments. Things like, "I hate Joy" and "Joy is a bitch".

And Joy, being Joy, read them.

And so on, and so on. And so Joy realized that she shouldn't have agreed to sell the story of Anubis House to the world. Nobody liked her out there, and she doubted anyone liked her in the house. Nobody cared.

And so, Joy decided that a world without her would be much better.

Mara found her in the morning.

If there was one thing about Joy, it was that she didn't miss breakfast. Ever. Mara imagined that in the year she was gone, she ate a plentiful breakfast every day. But Mara slept late and Joy was still in her bed even though most of Anubis House was still at breakfast, eating delicious cooking (though not to Trudy's Level, of course) by Vera.

So Mara gently shook Joy after she had changed her clothes and stepped out of bed. "Joy...breakfast..." she murmured.

But Joy had no motions. She was...cold. And Mara freaked.

"Guys, we have a serious issue!" called Mara, running downstairs in to the dining room.

"What's up, Mara?" asked Patricia.

"Joy. There's something wrong with Joy."

"I was wondering why she wasn't at breakfast," said Jerome with a smirk.

Nina looked at Fabian, and Fabian at Nina. They had only got back together recently, and they both had mixed feelings about Joy.

Nina nodded. Fabian, as if reading her mind, stood up. Nina did the same, and they walked to her dorm room together.

Patricia looked at Joy's bed. Joy was motionless. There was also a note.

"Guys, get over here," called Patricia. "Check out this note."

"It says it's to all of us," stated Fabian. Nina nodded.

"Should we read it?" asked Nina.

"Well, yes, of course we should! Open it!" urged Fabian.

"I'll read it," intoned Patricia. "Let's go."

Dear Anubis House,

We made a horrible choice selling our story to the world. Now everyone hates me. Read the comments on the videos. They hate me and you do too, I know it!

I used pills.

"From Joy," finished Patricia. "Why'd she do that? How could they be so mean?"

"That's the power of bullying for you," stated Fabian. "But why Joy?"

"We may never know," answered Nina. "It's so stupid."

And it was.
