Dusk was falling on the autumn scene. The large expanse of golden and red trees shrouded the couple lying in the grass.
"You know, reality is a nice place and all, but I don't think I'd want to live there." Vash rolled over and looked into Meryl's eyes. "What do you think?"
"It depends- is this reality?"
"Naw. It has to be a dream. It's too perfect." A stray leaf lazily blew across his face, and continued on it's journey into the distance.
She laughed softly, a beautiful sound that carried on the balmy breeze. "I suppose you're right."
He reached out and gently caressed her silken cheek, marveling at how incredibly beautiful she was, from the way the flowing white sundress flawlessly framed her, to her brilliant lavender eyes. He moved to her lips, lightly brushing them with his thumb.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked, directing his gaze back into her eyes.
The tiny woman smiled and tried -unsuccessfully- to not blush. She scooted closer to him, taking his hand off of her face and intwining his fingers into her own. "What's in it for me?" she whispered.
"This." He hesitated a moment, then pressed his mouth into hers, savoring the moment of pure oneness with his love.
A/N: D'awww. R&R please. Even tiny ficlets need love. :3 And, believe it or not, I spent hours on this thing. Not a song-fic, but heavily influenced by Owl City's 'The Real World'.
