A/N: This was a challenge prompt issued by RenkonNairu in the Young Justice FanFiction Challenges forum. The prompt was (to summarize) to write about a group of characters attempting to change a light bulb.

"I'm telling you, it's stuck," Roy sneered. He was standing on a stool trying to shake a light bulb free.

"You're just not turning it hard enough," Artemis said. Ollie had called both of his mentees over to help him with a very important project. The project turned out to changing a light bulb.

"If I turn it any harder I'll get bulb glass in my hand."

"Try jiggling it loose," Artemis said.

Ollie giggled.

"I swear to God," Roy shouted, "if you say 'that's what she said' I'm throwing this light bulb in your face."

"First you'd have to have the motor skills to actually get the bulb loose," Artemis said

Roy began to yank at the lamp. "Why. Won't. You. Break. FREE?"

"Sheesh Roy," Ollie said, "You're going to break it."

"Good. Maybe next time you'll just call an electrician instead of me."

"For a light bulb?" Ollie asked.

"For Satan's light bulb!"

Roy punched the bulb and it finally gave into the stress. The glass went into his knuckles and the filament sparked. Roy let out a curse word and jumped out of the way. Artemis inspected what was left in the lamp. "Thanks a lot, Roy. There's no way we're getting that out now."

"I'm bleeding over here!" Roy cried. He held a towel over his hand. Ollie peeled it off to inspect the damage. Glass was stuck shooting out of his knuckles.

"Ouch," Ollie said.

"Ew!" Artemis screamed, "Blood! Blood!" Artemis started to tremble before she fainted on the floor.

Ollie went searching for tweezers and came back with them.

"Thank God," said Roy and held out his bloody hand.

Ollie rolled his eyes. "As if." He began to pull shreds of glass out of the lamp until the metal tweezers hit the filament and he was electrocuted. Ollie's cursing was worse than Roy's. When it stopped he sat on the floor next to Artemis' stirring body. "Am I dead?" he asked.

"Unfortunately no," Roy said.

At that moment Black Canary walked in. Her eyes shifted from a disoriented Ollie to a bloody Roy to an unconscious Artemis. Finally her eyes settled on the ceiling lamp.

"So," She said. "How many archers does it take to screw in a light bulb?"
