He had always known he was fire. It burned everyone he touched, his mother, his wife, his sons. He was destruction.

And now fire was his own destruction. It was fitting, he mused. The fire he embodied had killed so many; his mother, his son. Now he shared their fate.

He had lost control so long ago, if he'd ever had it; a raging inferno that destroyed all in its path, including himself.

'Let this be the end,' he prayed silently as he died, knowing full well that it would not be, that the fire would continue to consume all.
