"Excuse me, ma'am, I can't access this file," a young voice interrupted UNIT Captain Erisa Magambo's concentration.

"You should have Code One clearance," she said absently, not quite looking up from her paperwork. Lucky youngster, shouldn't have that at all, but it'd been special orders from Above.

"Yes, I do, but this file won't open."

She looked up. Luke Smith was standing anxiously in front of her desk, holding a laptop.

"Is it vital to a project?" She hadn't thought he'd been assigned anything yet; even experienced recruits got stuck on Probation.

He colored slightly. "No, I was just browsing, trying to acclimate myself to the system. I wouldn't have asked, but it seemed strange, and you were the closest officer with Clearance to see it. I hope I haven't committed a breach of etiquette."

"Give it here," she commanded. He placed the computer on the desk, facing her.

"It's an Identity File," the boy explained, "We met once, sort of, video-chatted, Mum was there too, and the Doctor, and several other people. We towed the Earth home. Nobody else seems to remember, now, though."

Captain Magambo was only half-listening. logging on and checking the History. "Oh, of course," she muttered.

"What is it?"

"Luke, you're sixteen years old, yes?" she asked, knowing the answer.

"Two, really," he replied. "The Bane––"

"Even better," she cut him off. "You were trying to access the file of so-called Captain Jack Harkness?" She couldn't believe this was actually an issue. It's been a staff joke, years ago. No one ever thought somebody young enough would possibly have enough clearance for it to matter. Damn manufactured child prodigies.

"Yes,"

She carefully did not smile. "Captain Harkness, of course, is high-class Level One material, and quite a thick folder. Some time ago another clearance level was added, specific to this file." She didn't believe this...

"Yes?" He was curious now.

"Captain Jack Harkness is also rated NC-17."
