Hi, everyone! While skimming through the Fairy Tail Archive (like I always do) I realized that there has been an increase in GraLu stories. WHAT IS THIS MADNESS? No offense to the GraLu fans, but I most definitely DO NOT see those two together. Even GrayxErza has a better chance! I see Gray and Lucy more like a brother and a sister or just best friends.

Actually…maybe it's just because NaLu is my OTP (One True Pairing). But I still don't see it!

*The Blossom of Hope*

She lay there in the white hospital sheets, her maternity dress somewhat crinkled from the childbirth that had took place around ten minutes earlier. Beside her was her husband, rubbing an ice pack over his sore hand which had been crushed by his wife during the final agonizing push.

In the blonde woman's arms was a beautiful little girl, sobbing loudly for everyone to hear.

"Ssh, it's okay…we're here, we're here…" the blonde whispered, "Wow…she's as loud as you are, Natsu…"

Natsu scowled, "Well, you were the one screaming your head off just now, Luce."

"For your information, I was the one pushing this baby out, not you." Lucy smartly retorted before turning back to her baby. "Wanna hold her, Natsu?"

"You bet I do!"

The baby was handed over to him after he put down his ice pack. He carefully held her with both hands, watching her face light up into a soft grin much like his wife's.

"She's just like you," says Lucy, "The eyes, the voice…I think she even has your hair."

Natsu looked down at the girl to find a small blob of pink forming on her head. The baby smiled again at the attention she was receiving. "But she has your smile." He told the woman.

The blonde laughed, "That's good. At least she's not all you."

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean? !"

"Ssh! You're going to make her cry." Lucy scolded, making Natsu pout in defeat. Nonetheless, he perked up, remembering the bunch of people who were anxiously waiting outside for the good news.

"I'm gonna go get the others, okay Luce?" The Dragon Slayer announced cheerfully as he ran to the door. Before he even got to touch it, Lucy called out:

"Natsu! Don't you want to name her first?"

That stopped the male in his tracks.

"What do we name her? What do we name her! Come on, come on, think of a name, Luce! Think of-"

"Would you shut up for one freaking second!" Lucy snapped. Natsu silenced immediately. He knew what happened if you angered a hormonal woman.

The Stellar Spirit mage sighed, "Do you remember…that day I got sick and couldn't go to the Hanami?"

Natsu frowned slightly, "Yeah. Why?"

"Well…when you and Happy dug up the Rainbow Sakura for me…I just felt so happy." Lucy stated, grinning warmly at the memory, "So…I think we should name our child…Saki."

"Saki?" Natsu repeated.

"Mm-hmm. It means blossom." She told him.

The pink-haired mage raised an eyebrow, "But if it was about those cherry blossoms then why not Sakura?"

"I like 'Saki'," says Lucy, "It goes better with 'Dragneel' too, doesn't it?"

"Saki Dragneel…Saki Dragneel…" Natsu tested it himself for a while, "…It does fit! It sounds awesome! Let's name her that, Lucy!"

"Of course! It was my idea!"

Natsu immediately ran out in excitement to let the other guild members in the room to introduce them to his daughter. Lucy hugged the baby girl to her chest before the rest of her friends came in.

'I hope you grow up to be a great Fairy Tail mage, Saki. Me and Daddy will be right by your side the entire way.'

As if in response, Saki opened her coal eyes and gave her mother a big smile.
