Unexpected Parenthood

Chapter 7

She trembled in fear. She couldn't comprehend what is happening to her. Erza reached out her hand and run toward her sick child. Cradling her tiny body feeling her warm in her touch, Erza bit her lower lip in confusion. Mavis have stated that the only way to suppress the leaking of magic from the child's body is to Erza use her own body and magic to stabilize Yue's condition. Erza closed her eyes and took a deep breathe. There's nothing to do now but to help her 'child'.

"Okay, I will do this for her."

In order to do this, Erza have to take off her clothes, lie naked beside Yue's sick body and redirect her own magic to Yue's body. She pulled away from Yue and felt Jellal's hand on her left shoulder with the look on his face telling him to calm down. Master Makarov and Mavis left the room and went back to the main room to find a solution for the others who went back to their child body. Natsu, Gray and Lucy stayed trying to cheered up Rai who was clearly worried about his twin sister's condition.

Erza started taking her shirt revealing her breast covered only with black lacy bra. Jellal gasped as he was quite NOT ready to see her undressing in front of him. Good Mavis! He is not ready! His cheeks flushed red and turned his gaze away from Erza. Natsu on his young body noticed his reaction and laughed.

"What's with you? You haven't seen her naked?" The little dragonslayer asked. The heavenly mage beet red in embarrassment.

Lucy pulled Natsu away from Jellal, scolding him from his tasteless remark.

"Of course he hasn't seen it yet."

"Heh. But Erza has done these many times! She and Gray used to bathe together before." That made Jellal flinched on Natsu's statement. It doesn't feel right to know that his Erza casually naked in front of other guys except him. He slapped himself mentally. What made him think that he has any rights to know what is right or wrong for the red haired mage and what made him think that he's worthy enough to be with her.

"Yeah, yeah right but Jellal is another case, you idiot." Young Gray hissed to Natsu and another round of fighting has started. They ran away from the room and you could practically hear them fighting and screaming on the corridor until Master yelled at them telling them to go to sleep.

Jellal felt a tugged from his shirt and saw Rai with tired eyes. He kneeled down in front of the young child and held his tiny hands.

"Dad, will Yue be alright?" Rai asked.

"Of course, Rai. 'Mommy' will do her best to take care of Yue." he smiled at the child. He looked up and saw Erza already under the sheets with the sick child.

Rai took his right hand from Jellal's and took something from his side pocket. He then placed a necklace with a small lacrima crystal at Jellal's hands.

"What is this?" he asked.

"It's a communication device you gave to me last year, Dad. We used this to talk when you are out on a mission, don't you remember?" Rai said. Of course Jellal doesn't know since the Dad he's talking now is the Dad when he wasn't born yet.

"How do we use it?" Jellal asked. He's thinking he might find a clue to where he could find the true parents of the twins.

"You use your thought projection, Dad. You use this when we missed you when you are not around or whenever you want to talk with Mommy". That made sense to Jellal.

" Why are you giving this to me?" Jellal asked.

"Because you are here, Dad. I know you and Mommy will take care of us. Can you keep it for me?" Rai yawned indicating he's already tired and sleepy. Jellal smiled and took the boy in his arms. Rai laid his head on his right shoulder and drift to sleep.

"Erza?" Jellal called.

"Yes?" She looked up to him.

"Can we sleep together? I mean is it alright if I sleep beside the twins too?" He blushed and looked away from her again. Erza nodded and felt Yue's condition getting better. Her worries slipping away from her mind.

Jellal put sleeping Rai beside Yue and lay beside the boy. He smiled to Erza stretching his left arm to touch her hair. He couldn't help it. He's so addicted to her and her scarlet tresses. She closed her eyes feeling better than earlier days, relieved that she somehow helped her 'child'. Soon after she fell asleep beside Yue. Jellal turned off the lights and watched Erza sleep with the twins. It feels right unto him. Just like a faraway dream he never thought will happen. A dream in which he and Erza being together having a family together.

The next morning, Jellal stirred from the bed out found himself unable to move. His legs tangled between the sheets. He still feels very sleepy but he's confused why he couldn't move. He turned his left and noticed someone is sleeping beside him and the twin are already out of bed. He could feel a warm breath tickling his neck. Oh Lord Zeref! He had a bad feeling for this. Jellal turned his gaze and saw his beloved red haired mage sleeping and cuddling on him. Oh what makes him more uncomfortable was that he remembered that Erza was practically naked under the sheets. He tried to slip away from her but then failed. Her body now pressed against him with the blanket have only covering his naked butt. How strong this woman can be? Jellal frowned.

"Erza… Erza… can you please wake up?" Jellal whispered to her but she didn't even respond.

"Erza, Please."

The door suddenly opened revealing Natsu, Happy and Gray that were already back on their normal physique.

"Hey Erza! Can we take another mission now?" Natsu said without noticing sooner the awkward situation Jellal was in. "What the…..? My Eyes! MY Eyes! I'm going to be blind!" he screamed as he ran outside the room leaving Gray with his jaw dropped on the floor. Lucy, Juvia and Levy met Natsu on the hallway still screaming with his hands still covering his eyes with Happy flying following him.

"Natsu! The world is going to END! We have to pick our headstone soon!" Happy yelled.

"What seems to be the problem?" Levy asked as they walked towards the room where Erza stays. Upon arrival they found Grey still in shocked condition, Erza stirred from her sleep already aware that there something going on around her.

Juvia gasped and have decided to pulled Gray's arm dragging him away from the commotion.

"Gray-sama, Juvia wants to be intimate too." Her eyes blinking with hearts.

Erza opened her eyes and saw Lucy and Levy blushing madly outside her room.

"We didn't see anything!" Lucy said taking stunned Levy with her.

"What's going on?" she yawned and noticed Jellal beneath her with his right arm covering his eyes from further humiliation. Her eyes widened upon realization, immediately grabbing the sheets to cover her naked body and drag herself out of bed to pick her scattered clothes on the floor and ran towards th bathroom that is connected to her room. The twins came looking for Erza.

"Daddy? Mommy?" Yue called but she only found her "younger" Daddy still on the bed. Jellal noticed the presence of the twins and forced himself to sit on the edge of the bed.

"Hey, Yue-chan. Are you feeling okay now?" he asked as he wave a hand at her to make her come forward. She came to him as her twin brother yawned and jumped on the bed.

"I'm feeling okay now, Daddy. Are you going to leave soon?" Yue asked.

Jelllal sighed and pat her head.

"No, Yue. Daddy will stay with you and Rai for a while." He replied which makes the girl smile and jumped liked she won a lottery.

"Yey! Thank you, Daddy! I love you! You're the best Daddy in the whole world." Yue said as she jumped to her father's arms showering his face with kisses. Jellal inwardly smiles. This moment is certainly not what he had expected to happen. He could never believe even in his wildest dreams that he can be a great dad in the future. These instances seem to be a mockery on his part. Having twins with Erza, being with Erza, being a father. Surely fate is mocking him. He knew he isn't worthy of it. He felt a pang on his heart. He isn't very hopeful. As much as he wants to be with Erza, he doesn't know if the day wil come that he is worthy enough to walk beside her.

It has been decided that they would returned to Magnolia the following day and they still have this night to prepare themselves to travel. The twins decide to sleepover with Wendy and Levy as the other members of Team Natsu are discussing with Jellal and Master Makarov about the twins. They were sitting on the floor while Natsu and Happy are taking their 'midnight snack'. Jellal informed them about the lacrima pendant that Rai given to him last night. They've been discussing the possibilities on how to use it so they could gather further information about the twins' identity.

"Jellal, is it possible to send a thought projection through this?" Erza asked as she run her fingers on the lacrima crystal on the necklace.

"I am not quite sure, Erza. I haven't done anything like that before." Jellal put his right hand on his chin, thinking about the possibilities. Suddenly, the lacrima crystal on Erza's hand glowed and covered the entire room with blinding light. As it disappeared, Team Natsu were shocked to see a familiar couple seating across Jellal and Erza. The resemblance couldn't be denied. It was like looking in front of a mirror and the only difference were the fact that the newcomers looked more matured and older than Jellal and Erza.

"Where's Rai and Yue?" Future Erza asked worriedly. Her eyes scanning the room seeking to find her lost babies.

"Erza, love. Please calm down." Future Jellal said tapping his wife's shoulder to get her attention. "We still have an audience here that we have to talk to." He continued.

Master Makarov cleared his throat to break the silence within the room.

"So I see that we didn't have to go out to seek answers about the twins." He said.

"I assume that you two are the real parents of Rai and Yue?" Lucy asked.

Future Jellal nodded.

"Good evening, Master. Erza and I are pleased that you've taken care of our children." Future Jellal said.

"Are you in any way, King Jellal and Erza Knightwalker?" Gray asked. His arms on his chest still wondering about the twins.

Future Erza shook her head.

"No. I am Erza Scarlet- No, actually Erza Fernandez and this is my husband Jellal."
