All these words they make no sense
(The Controllers try to explain. They are killed)
I find bliss in ignorance
(The Yeerk's host screams at him. He tries to block it out.)
Less I hear the less you'll say
But you'll find that out anyway
(He hopes that if he ignores the screams, his host will shut up.)
Just like before ...
(He remembers the battle on the Hork-Bajir world. He'd had a different host back then, but it screamed just as loud.)
Everything you say to me
(One of the "Andalite bandits" — Ax actually — taunts the Yeerk)
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
(The Yeerk tries to kill Ax. He misses.)
I need a little room to breathe
(After the battle, he walks away from the other Yeerks because he needs to be alone)
Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
(But that won't stop the enraged thought-speak cries of his host. It won't stop the endless scream in the Yeerk's head.)
I find the answers aren't so clear
(The Yeerk's trying once again to find a way to defeat the "Andalite bandits". He can't come up with anything.)
Wish I could find a way to disappear
(He's sick of everything. The Animorphs, the other Yeerks, his own host ... )
All these thoughts they make no sense
(The Yeerk reads his host's mind, but doesn't understand what he sees.)

(He convinces himself once again that his host's emotions are irrelevant.)
Nothing seems to go away
Over and over again
(The host is still yelling, driving the Yeerk crazier than he already is.)

(The Yeerk has left his host to swim in the Yeerk pool. He hears his host's cries no longer. He only hears his own endless, unheard scream.)
