-The Morning After a New Start - Her Version-
BEEP...BEEP...BEEEEEEEP!
Mechanical sound on the bedside table announced the start of a new day. In her sleep she reached out her hand for it and turned it off to regain a moment of peace.
Feeling the soft and warm light streaming in through the curtains, she fell silent for a moment as she kept her eyes closed and allowed her to bask in the sensation that still lingered on after their exchanging of passion the previous night. His arms wrapping her up tightly from behind, she felt her body and soul completely contented and relaxed.
For some while stirring under a warm blanket, she resisted temptation that she would let herself dragged back into deep sleep.
Blinking a few times before she slowly opened her eyes and turned on her side. At that moment her face met her loved one.
"Da..."
She instinctively whispered his name, but she stopped in the middle of a sentence, not wanting to wake him from his sleep just yet. She was content to simply lie next to him just feeling his warmth.
Slowly reaching out to him, she threaded her fingers through his hair. He was still deeply asleep, breathing softly through his nostrils. A broad smile found its way to her lips as she studied his face that was wearing a peaceful satisfaction.
Hmm...He has such long eyelashes as this. I didn't know that. Aha! His hair gets really messy because he went to bed without drying it. He'll need a shave soon. Oh, here are dimples on his cheeks! How cute!
She wanted to enjoy, to the fullest, the first peaceful moment she shared with him after their wedding.
"...I can't still believe...this. We really married."
She whispered nowhere basking deeply in happiness; happiness that it is each other's face that they see first when they wake up in the morning, happiness that with each passing day they can discover something new in each other that they haven't known or noticed before.
It's about time I should get up. But...but...let me stay with him just a little more.
Snuggling in closer, she kissed her sleeping husband whispering in his hair, "I love you, Mr. Messer."
Finally rising from the bed, she picked up his T-shirt from among their clothes scattered on the floor and pulled it over before making her way through into the apartment's kitchen to fix breakfast for the two of them.
Making sure that her footsteps were growing faint, he slowly opened his eyes in their bed, a soft smile finding its way to his lips.
"I love you too, Mrs. Messer."
*The End*
