AN: Ficlet for Faberry Week. Not much else to say, but if you enjoyed this please check out my other work. I'm still kinda starting out. I do not own anything. If I did Rachel would still be wearing those animal sweaters (What? I thought she looked cute in them)

Quinn Fabray was lying in bed, her arms embracing a sleeping Rachel Berry. It was the middle of the night, and she couldn't sleep. Slowly, and quietly she slipped her arms away from the tiny diva. The brunette in question fidgeted slightly at the loss of warmth, and Quinn couldn't help but smile at her wife's reaction. Wife. That word still felt weird for her. They had been married for several years now, but looking back at their lives, their history. Well it didn't seem possible.

She swung her legs over the side of the bed to get up. She turned to take once last glance at her star when she heard the door open. At the door was their daughter, Melanie. The little girl was in her pink pajamas, her long brown hair was a mess, and hanging from her left hand was her favorite teddy bear, Mr. Fluffykins.

Quinn got up and squatted down by her daughter so that they were at eye level, and placed her hands on her shoulders. "Oh, sweetie. Did you have a nightmare?" The little girl nodded, and even in the dim light Quinn could see a hint of fear in her daughter's hazel eyes. "Oh, come here." She pulled her into a tight embrace before picking her up. "Do you want to sleep with Mom and Mommy?"

"Yes, please." Melanie replied, her former fear seeming to dissipate. Quinn set her down in the middle of the bed. "Can you tell me a bedtime story, of when you first fell in love with Mommy?" she asked with that famous Rachel Berry pout. Quinn both loved and hated that pout.

"Well," the blonde began as she sat down. "It was freshman year of high school. That was the first time I met your Mommy. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen."

"I heard people say that you used to pick on her," her daughter said with a frown. Quinn grimaced at the memory.

"I did, it was wrong. I was just afraid she wouldn't like me. But eventually I found the courage to tell her how I felt." Her daughter beamed. "It was out last year of high school. I was going to Yale and Mommy was going to NYADA. Mommy had just broken up with Finn-"

"You mean the giant?"

"Yes, honey. Anyway, our Glee assignment that week was about saying good bye. I had decided to sing 'These Days' by Sweetbox. It was discreet enough so that it would look like I was singing to everyone when I was actually only singing to Mommy. But I couldn't keep my eyes off her. At the end of the song everyone was talking amongst themselves and I ran out of the choir room. Mommy chased after me and-" she stopped once she notice her daughter had fallen asleep. "Sleep tight, Melanie. I love you." She planted a kiss on her forehead.

"I love you too, Quinn." The blonde's hazel eyes shot up to meet chocolate brown ones. She leaned down and placed a soft tender kiss upon the brunette's lips. They broke apart and both laid themselves back down on the bed each wrapping an arm around Melanie. Sure, Quinn's life hadn't turned out like she thought, but moments like this, she knew she wouldn't have it any other way.

AN: Reviews, please. I hope you enjoyed.
